That's such a funny (but true) comment on this song, since the song is all about what you do for love. These singers, dancers, and writers sing, write, and dance because they have to. Game or money be damned. Linda is a national treasure! I'm hopeful she'll "break through" yet.
@@barbraseville8984 She didn't want to make the sacrifices to her home and family life in order to be more famous, singing mainly in the New York area. She raises horses, drives a tractor and emulates Martha Stewart.
Oh good Lord, her voice is absolute perfection...sends shivers down my spine. I like heavy metal myself, but Linda Eder is still the most incredible singer I've ever heard and likely ever will hear.
don't talk to me about Brightman, Garland, or Streisand. Linda Eder has the most incredible voice of the 20th century and beyond.... I saw her once live in New Jersey... it was an outstanding experience
Linda is Unoriginal. Not unique. Her voice is a composite of Barbra and Judy. She has the technique and range But she doesn't stand out Stylistically. This is undeniable.
Oh my i knew only about Linda Eder this week. What a voice, i fell in love with her emotional and very touching performance, in fact all her performance😍😊😥
Saw her on Star Search years ago. She was magnificent in Jekyll and Hyde. A woman whose talent is on par with Celine, Whitney, or Barbra. I'm sorry she never had the same level of success and stardom.
WOW! One of my very favorite songs but never heard it sung this well. A ravishing beauty accompanied by a voice like no other. Marvelous. Simply marvelous.
I have been in love with her and following her career since the star search days, and that’s years ago. I have every CD she has ever made. I’m clueless as to understand why she’s not vastly more famous than she is. But, my heart, now and forever, is with her.
Streisand in her Prime. Judy in her Prime. Audra McDonald. Barbara Cook. Whitney Houston. Floor Jansen. Kristin Chenowith. Kelli O'Hara. Karen Carpenter. Linda Ronstadt.
Linda's presentation of this song must be the anthem that best describes my over 30 years working with Disney, and over 50 of association and influence as a child growing up with Walt.
LINDA EDER! Linda is the reigning queen of Broadway Divas and popular singers. She simply has the best voice out there! Her voice is wonderful-perhaps even better than Streisand and certainly better than Celine Dion!
Marv Waddy is correct. Seeing Linda in person will change your life. I own the Hallelujah Broadway DVD & CD and have this performance saved on RUclips. I watch it often. I always feel better after hearing Linda's amazing voice!!! #LindaEder
Very awesome rendition. Lovely woman with a tremendous voice. Actually brought a tear to MY eye ( unusual but true ) One of my favorites to sing, but definitely no comparison at all. BRAVO!!!
... a beautiful song, beautifully sung, as always, by a beautiful woman ... ...if I, as a stranger, may presume just a bit, to observe ... thank you, Linda ...
She was my guest back in my radio days in Atlantic City, NJ. Lovely gal too. It's unfortunate she has such poor management. So bad that they called me and asked if I knew anyone at the Casinos. That supposed to be their job!!
LINDA EDER!! Linda has an incredible voice, and is supremely talented. She is THE DIVA of the current generation, and every bit as talented as Barbra Streisand or more so. Personally, I love Linda's voice and amazing ability to touch anyone who watched her!! In fact, Linda should not really be compared to Streisand, because she is so great in her own right!
I like how she sings tge okd but classic ballads with the besutiful music and soulful lyrics. Her style is grest fot these songs, not the over the top 'torch singer' belting out the song, but just enough of thst in a few parts ehere needed. She is a discovery for ne. A young gitl doing these classics and very well is anazing
Linda Eder is so incredible. every concert of hers is amazing!! she took the time to meet my mom back stage once and was so gracious, her new cd is wonderful, cant wait to see videos of her new songs
I DISCOVERED YOUR SONGS LOOKING FOR THE COMPOSER/S AND ORIGINAL SINGER OF THE SONG "SOMEONE LIKE YOU" SANG BY LUCY THOMAS. MY SEARCH WAS FRUITFUL AND WAS A JOURNEY FROM LESLIE BRICUSSE AND ANTHONY NEWLEY AND THEN TO FRANK WILDHORN AND THEN TO YOU. AT LAST I FOUND YOU. KEEP SINGING FOR US.

Beautiful tribute. Love that song and I just mentioned to Bud it’s one of my Eva Cassidy’s favorites. Glad you mentioned her. She has been missed! How about adding it to your tribute tour?? 😉😍
I don't know this lady at all... lovely musical arrangement ... the strings and horns are fabulous - Ms. Eder really comes into her own towards the end
WHY THIS GODDESS IS NOT REGARDED AS ONE OF THE VERY BEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD....IS BEYOND ME

better than any of the dubbed vocals of Mariah Carey
Agree!
Why isn't this woman more famous? What a gem.
She has enjoyed some fame. But I agree she's not nearly where she should be.
I saw Linda on Broadway in 1998/99 and never EVER forgot her on stage singing If Someone Like You. An amazing near life changing experience.
There is not a better singer ever, saw her 8 times.
What an extraordinary performer Linda is, she has one of the best voices in the world
yep, she is breathtaking live.

It is so nice to see this song done correctly. She didn't try to overpower it. thank you.
I have always thought that Jack Jones did the definitive version of this one. Definitely changed my mind.
LISTENING AGAIN......NEVER GET TIRED OF HEARING THIS EXTRAORDINARY SINGER 🤩💜👏🎼♥
She can just bring me to tears every time I hear her sing this song. Takes you back to those young years in love!

Love you Linda! Miss you Marvin! 💖
More beautiful and better voice than when on "Star Search" 22 years ago! Talk about getting better with age! WOW!
I was thinking the same thing. Pretty amazing.
Seeing her on Jan 20 with one of closest friends and cannot wait! My first concert since pandemic and it’s Linda! Soooo excited and so needed!
I'm in awe. She held my heart in her gentle hands.
A very emotional song sung by a lady with a beautiful voice.

She is amazing and if that's not enough, she is the nicest, most down to earth person/celebrity you will ever meet. She's one of a kind! ❤
Have seen her three time in concert, and she is simply AMAZING! You will need an entire box of kleenex when she does these ballads. BRAVA!

The great ones always take the great songs and make them their own. Linda Eder is a great one.
Oh my … thank you for such such beautiful music. Love it ~
You are 100% right. Linda has the most powerful voice, inc. Celine and Barbara . Barbara's voice was the best then not now.
