It is absolutely BEYOND me how this song did not do better in the charts. Seriously.. it is such a great song and yet it is a relatively unknown song from the 80s.
It is not the original version. The original version didn’t sound as good. This is the remix version that you have undoubtedly heard in the radio several times in the past.
@@zgfit Im nearly 30 and grew up with “Low Spark of High Heeled Boys” and always loved the song but had no idea until like a month ago that it was Steve Winwood on the vocals and keys
It's interesting that the synth solo is almost "scored". That's probably wise because winging it in a tight pop song like this wouldn't always work. (Drum machines and sequencers made music too tight sometimes, but it worked on this song).
One the most underrated singers of the century. Way more powerful than I thought he is one of the greats.
One of my most favorite song😊😂
Such a soulful voice. Love it ❤️
Great description I couldn’t find the right words…and you nailed it. 100% SOULFUL
The voice, the mullet, that keyboard solo.. it’s magical.
Great song. He sang it perfectly note for note.
I love all of Steve's work. This song especially was great!!

Terribly underrated song-this version especially (‘87 remix).
The 87 version is the only one I listen to
🤌
Agreed, an all-time great song. Should be even more famous than it is.
80s Winwood was the best.
Such magical vocal
Lovely bloke
Loved him since the 60's.
I love his keyboard solo
Tremenda interpretación...pedazo de tema...
Absolutamente Magnifica Cancion de la decada de los 80s.
This song is the best
Música antiga tão moderna ,impressionante elas duram tão moderna para compensar o lixo sonoro criado nos dias atuais .
That's NEIL CONTI on drums, the drummer for PREFAB SPROUT!!!
He was amazing at 16 with Spenser Davis Group.
Linda canção❤
everyone knows at least one song from him yet many have no clue who he is...
i only found out about him yesterday
Yes! Heard this on the radio at a restaurant yesterday I was like I need to look this up haha I didn’t recognize the name
Really??? Some people must live in a cave!! My kids are 15 & 20yrs old & know who he is & a lot of his songs especially from the 80’s!

Very good song.
In the studio version Steve plays and programs all of the instruments.

This 1990 version is such a shame compared to the original one, have to say.
Such a great song. But this is not live.
