I would not have offered more than 5k. You are a very good person for even offering 6.5k that’s a very honest offer because in your calculations you didn’t value your labor
Loved my rs6, bought mine for a track day with a few issues, 50p seal issue and water pipes, stripped it down it was a nightmare rotted pipes, took me 3 days to get it all sorted, but it was the best sounding car I've ever owed,
That seller should count himself lucky he was able to sell the car on again to someone who can fix it! Otherwise he would have a large driveway ornament! Good luck with the project!
This is just wrong lol, if he was gonna slap a new forged engine inside it he would have got a w. He just tried to cheap flip it and it don't work like that.
Getting a 1000hp rs6 for less than 20k are you alright? That's why he was going for it. He was just tight with it, deffo should have offered 7k for it and slapped the engine inside
Love it. 1000bhp monster inbound and £1M later.... should be great content and advert for your business Thomas. Love the sense of humour.... so many seemed to 'Not get it'😂😂😂😂😂
Nice negotiating.. treated the seller with respect. And the seller has taken a bath on this car. Your valuation is more than fair as you have not factored your labour
I love the RS6 wagons design. Beautiful car. If I was in a higher income range I would consider one,but a new one in the US is $140,000. WAY above what I could afford.
I wish i had done some kind of course on cars when i was younger. I absolutely love watching people build cars and the final product after many of hours of hard work. Anyways, you guys look like you know what use are doing and as a new sub i look forward to the journey.
The car was not structurally damaged, and there are no salvage auction records on the vehicle. This points to the water damage being an insurance write off. 👍
This can get very expensive very fast just pray for no catastrophic failure of basically everything other than wheels and tyres haha good luck! It's a supercar underneath.
You guys in Europe have it good with Audi prices. It would’ve been double what he asked in the states even with the issues. So many crazy deals over there I would like to take advantage of but we can’t import anything under 25 years old.
So I have a B7 4.2L V8 on about 130k now. It's a great car and sounds glorious but I also know it could go bang at any moment. I have to wonder if these cars are worth the investment? What are your thoughts? They are certainly getting rarer so it could be that they are. I just wanted a practical car (mine is an Avant) as I have kids but I also wanted a V8 and there really isn't much choice in the UK for those requirements!
Do a vcheck on it, should show the Synetiq/Copart pics for when it was categorised, from my knowledge of buying salvage, some insurers do category N flood damaged cars without any body damage.
I’ll tell right now: auction cars are there because they’re a problem. Some dealership already looked at it and decided it wasn’t worth it to fix. You can only make some small profit if you do the labor for free to fix.
I have a BBK S4 Avant currently doing some minor engine work, oil cooler, water pump hoses, cam cover gaskets, inlet manifold gaskets, ive had a good look inside and it's immaculate under the covers, cams in perfect condition for 129k miles also took inlet manifold off to do gaskets and sized flapper, the valves are like new not a mark on them, it didn't make any noise on start up from cold from the chains, tried many times after watching your videos, so my question is if it made no noises and it's clearly had many many oil changes are the chains likely to be ok or should I drop the engine and do them anyway? Reason for the work is I.bouggt it cheap with oil in coolant, turns out it was main rad and auto oil. So both coolant and gearbox has cream cheese in.
Mister VAG, one question, is my S8 V10 2008 black full spec a keeper car for the future? Will they be 'wanted' cause of V10 or they'll be just one more old A8?
if you have time just tiny question. S4B9 2019. 65k miles. i boroscope rockerarm and its the big needle so im good there. the engine sound normal with the ticking of rocker arm and of the HPFP. But sometime i ear another sound. is it kown to have sound coming from fuel vapor purge valve ? If its the purge valve is it suppose to go faster when giving some throtle i dont think so. Anything come in your mind. Just buy the car its stock and dealer maintain
Took me all of 10s after you were sat in the Rs6 to know you had it, when you said you didn't come to an agreement on the same day. 😊 Can't wait to see this build.. BTW. What was done to the S4 power and exhaust wise? Sounded very nice pulling from the lights.
You're not a fan of MRC tuning? What's wrong with the best tuner in the VAG world? I've only had fantastic experience with them and I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about them
Look after your eyes is my first suggestion. That looks like a 34 inch widescreen monitor to me, and you should be at least sitting back another 12-15 inches from where it is now. It does not do your eyes any good, and I expect you spend a lot of time looking up parts etc. You should be able to see the whole screen width without moving your head, just comfortably moving your eyes.
Am I missing something here. He walks away from a car that's too dear. 2 days later, he's sat in a car, telling us the tail of his thoughts. Then he gets out of a blue RS6 and when his camera pans round to show the reg plate, it's the car, he went to see!?
Love your videos. Can i ask a question,? 2013 30t Q7 Engine misfired and TPMS warning light came on all at once, no fault codes in ECU 😢 im thinking a fuel injector? Thanks in advance.
It wouldn't have been a misfire, the TCS would likely have activated ABS briefly on the wheel that reported the TPMS fault. Could either be a faulty wheel speed sensor and/or a TPMS sensor. If you have a VCDS cable it will tell you what it is and what wheel(s). Either way it's not an expensive fix. If it was an injector the EML itself would've came on and stayed on till it was fixed.
Probably hiding mileage and reg cause if you do a check the mileage on display might not match the one on record so he’s betting on the buyer not doing the checks prior ownership i guess … 🤷🏽♂️
That guy was totally unrealistic about it all, other than realising he'd bitten off more than he could chew but then struggled to take the obvious route out of a hole.
I don't think you realise just how much of a money pit these cars are. The price you paid was breaker money, even with a damaged engine. Headlights, wings and bumpers are worth a small fortune. Price them from audi and you will see. Brave man, you must have deep pockets, believe me i know. Had mine over 5 years. 1000hp has been done before, but isnt cheap. If you are needing some engine parts let me know as bought a used engine for a coffee table.
It's very entertaining to hear you reasoning about the car because of your knowledge and also you treat the seller very respectful and honestly.
Shuttup ffs melter
Agreed!
I would not have offered more than 5k. You are a very good person for even offering 6.5k that’s a very honest offer because in your calculations you didn’t value your labor
Says unfortunately not buying then climbs out of the same car LMAO what a legend

Dude paid over the odds at auction thinking he was on a winner but in reality had no clue how much money these cars actually swallow just for a laugh!
I mean, sure not everyone will know the specifics but surely any one half interested in cars would expect a super car engine to have super bills?
This is just wrong lol, if he was gonna slap a new forged engine inside it he would have got a w. He just tried to cheap flip it and it don't work like that.

It will definitely be interesting to see this build that’s for sure. Hopefully the engine isn’t damaged beyond repair.
Looking forward to the 1000bhp build. I love the color!
there is a reason why they say ''never buy a car from Birmingham''.
😀 or whole uk …
Im sure he said Wolverhampton not Birmingham.
Glad to see you are busy. Project the car, strip inspection, rebuild, dyno....
The car was not structurally damaged, and there are no salvage auction records on the vehicle. This points to the water damage being an insurance write off. 👍
Nice one enjoyed you're video will be pleased to watch that build as i do with all of youre builds keep up the good work
The only RUclipsr who actually had a reason to use Car Vertical 😂

You certainly weren’t ‘buying the seller’ 🤣
This will be a great project to folllow.

Import one on a show license!
Nice bit of future content with the RS6. With your knowledge it was worth a punt. Might find it’s not as bad as you feared 😂
Full Audi Service History and Warranty that's what did it 😂😂
Curious why you dont like mrc tunes? Or was that part of the sale patter?
There is one of these cars has sat on the verge for about 2 years and not moved about a mile away from me.
Awesome vid. Wondering can a C6 RS6 V10 Intake fit on a D3 S8? Tuning? Cams? I think you know why I ask 😁
6 previous owners and 109,000 been checked online 197 times
Average 😀 …. If ! Purpose won’t be to be clean or low mileage . Need the power
Yes! A guy with my exact sense of humour!! Just how I would have ended the video 😆❤️👍
Saving Salvage youtube channel (UK based) has an RS6 C6 with fuel pump issue. Maybe contact him?
Ohlala can't wait to see you build a 1000bhp car.keep it up guys

What you guys think about the 2.0 45 tfsi engine?? Is it more reliable than the v6 s4 engine?? A shame you couldnt get the v10 mate.
Hang in there buddy, I'm sure somebody who is watching knows someone who knows someone who has the RS6 C6 of your dreams.
Saving salvage has one he's looking either to repair the oil pump or sell it
Took me all of 10s after you were sat in the Rs6 to know you had it, when you said you didn't come to an agreement on the same day. 😊
Can't wait to see this build..
BTW. What was done to the S4 power and exhaust wise?
Sounded very nice pulling from the lights.
530 bhp on crank
@@VAGTechnic I like that..
What exhaust setup you got on it?
I have a S4 as well and want to get it to 500bhp..
I had a 2010 RS6 V10. Sold it in 2015 for £37,000 with 23,000 miles. Was a beast.
@VAGTechnic i thought you were a fan of the MRC tune on the S4 B9 😂 Or is it more that you wouldn't do it to your own one?
You could do with a wider monitor
I have wider one home actually
Dean has one on saving salvage I think he wants rid of it?
Good video, who is your preferred tuner for them?
Take it on as a project car 😉
I just clocked it!😂😂 when does the 1000+bhp build start?😂
You're not a fan of MRC tuning? What's wrong with the best tuner in the VAG world? I've only had fantastic experience with them and I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about them

@@VAGTechnici was thinking of using them in the future heard they good for rs3. But also heard they not that good ?
Best tuner in vag world 😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😂😂
I have thae same opinion after dealings. Lazy tuning. @@VAGTechnic
I don't understand, was this video not sponsored by CarVertical?
This guy is the John Wick of Audi world.😂
Saving salvage have a rs6

Whats wrong with an MRC tune? I have one on my S5 and can't fault it!
I had one on my B8.5 S5 too. Running at 497bhp and 650 torque. She was an absolute monster 😁
I had a mrc tune on my b5 rs4. Was absolutely miles better than the previous mtm tune. 👍🇬🇧
Don’t like mrc tunes? Why? My rs6 is mrc stage 2.
Hi, can I ask you what year is your audi s4 and are these supercharged v6 are reliable? I'm looking to buy one so that's why I'm asking.
Hi , not my car , build for customer . They are but it really depends who owned it before . If you want a clean car get Japan import S4
@@VAGTechnic thank you for your information 👍
Am I missing something here. He walks away from a car that's too dear. 2 days later, he's sat in a car, telling us the tail of his thoughts. Then he gets out of a blue RS6 and when his camera pans round to show the reg plate, it's the car, he went to see!?

Yea, he went for it :)
@@VAGTechnic Made me laugh actually lol

2013 30t Q7 Engine misfired and TPMS warning light came on all at once, no fault codes in ECU 😢 im thinking a fuel injector? Thanks in advance.
Tyre pressure monitoring system , don’t think it’s injector
Im scratching my head on this one, ill let you know the our come. Thanks for the reply.

..so you got the car then? 10:51 AY58 prefix on the reg, end of video 19:12 AY58 RS6 parked up in your yard! 😉
yes :D
What is the significance of a Japanese import? Different quality or parts.??
Usually less corrosion and better maintained.
Apparently he's still not even opened any of the messages 3 weeks later
You cant hide that reg no as you got out of that BLUE RS6 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
this a build i wanna see Miroslav on... lets go guys
Why don’t you like MRC?
Just personal problem from past
Buy the rs6 from saving salvage on RUclips, runs and drives but needs oil scavenger pump apparently thats an NLA part
High mileage
@@VAGTechnic if you're gonna be rebuilding for power it'll be getting a refresh anyways wouldn't it ?
Its a cut n , somebody can explain what this is? Body panels replaced?
CAT N - non structural damage , claim true insurance most likely the damaged engine
@@VAGTechnic maybe there is a claim date of it, less than a year back its the float indeed, body repair should be visible.
Hey. Why are you not a fan of MRC tuning?
Also curious about this!
Why aren’t you a fan of MRC out of curiosity? Aren’t they the best for RS cars?
They are one of the best when it comes to development and stuff , but hard to communicate with staff 😀 but that’s like every where when you busy
@@VAGTechnic fair enough I’ve never owned a petrol Audi so haven’t had the chance to use them. Excited to see your journey with this car :)

Yes! Yeess!!
Love how he gets put of it at the end of the video 😂😂
Lol so you brought it in the end?
🤫🤫
Was that the rs6 you got out of in the end??? If not I'm sure you could do a Collab with dean @ saving salvage he has a rs6 V10 he wants gone!!!! 😜
I have a 2014 CRDB rs6 engine with a faulty piston ring cylinder 2 burning oil if you’re interested to purchase for repair?
