This guy is genius and he should be considered one of the best musicians of the last decades in rock music.
He is great. But personally i like supergrass alot more. That really rocket and were ALL great songs.
I saw Supergrass live at my University Union before they made it big. They opened my ears to what music truly is, Thank you Gaz you never fail to produce beautifully written songs that jump out of the dirge that surrounds it! Awesome!!
Another one of today's forgotten geniuses.. if you rummage through the trash that is modern music you will find the likes of Mr coombes! Brilliant 👏👏👏

'Solo'? there's about x2 Supergrasses on stage there! It's just Gaz with another band eh.
Who from Supergrass is there? Micky Quinn is doing bass duties with Swervedriver, Danny Goffey has his own solo career now and Gaz's brother Rob has semi-retired from live music.
no I just meant it's a very un 'solo' return. There's about 7 other musicians playing behind him. Gaz and his Big Band would be a cool/more apt name!
Solo doesn't mean he has to be alone on stage, just that it's not a band, it' s a guy with hired professional musicians. PJ Harvey for example is not a band, it's her + some guys. it looks like a band but it's not not, hired musicians get paid a fee and just do what they are told to do.
yep, i kinda know how that works ;) - that's why it'd be pointless for PJ to add 'solo' to her performances. As it is here, which is my point. anyway, it's all semantics, he sounds great.
It's because Gaz plays all the instruments on his solo albums, but has a band for the full affect live, although he does also perform his solo stuff solo, for a different vibe, a lot of that is also on here.

There’s only one Supergrass. SG were tight as fck! Gaz is a great singer and guitarist, but this band just doesn’t do it for me. The start is super though.
