@@mitab1 the Iris is a rumored State of Being, seemingly akin to other faith's forms of "Enlightenment". Sigma is clinically insane, and theorized to basically have multiple realities worth of memories and thoughts crashed together, thus it is very possible that a Sigma of an alternate reality has met someone who has achieved the state of being, or even perceived a physical manifestation of the concept. Man literally hears the universe, I wouldn't be surprised by his mind being invaded by the supernatural as well.
i won't lie, i love how sigma is actually just a sweet guy in the spawn room. he has childlike wonder, curiosity and acts like a child with what he questions. many of the other characters even think so because his idea's are so absurd and random, little do they know he lost his entire mind because he saw what was in a black hole. and the way he switches up to when he's in battle is also pretty crazy, one moment he's a man questioning the unquestionable and then the next he becomes a cold gravitational killing machine.
Sigma is such a chad, definitely my favorite character in Overwatch. Too bad I probably won’t play much tank in OW2. His voice lines are so good as well.
I like how he’s goofy and eccentric in the spawn room, but for eliminations he’s stone cold and aloof. He’s also completely terrifying when he loses composure
I think junkrat and sigma unlikely would just nerd out, junkrat is smarter than anyone think he is, dude, how do you produce a high efficiency grenades and weapon to toss them with, a mine that if jumped on right doesn't deal damage to the owner and a controlled tire from trash and car parts?! Not only that but he must be a chemical genius, because his bombs aren't to scoff at, and remember, he lived in junkertown, a town with limited resources, he must have some kind of formula for these, he also mentions that to Moira. It'd them both being crazy science nerds together
Well there is one thing junkrat saying to sigma when he eliminates him. "That! Was for not taking me to space when I asked! " That means they've met before at some point. Maybe before junkrat goes crazy or after but. The two probably see each other in the lore.
Sigma was one of my favorite characters when he was introduced, and he still is. Glad to see they've added some voice lines, they add a lot of personality for him and I appreciate it a lot. Especially his interactions with Moira and Sombra.

I love his friendship with Winston and Sombra! Sombra shows that she always care for people, even Baptise! As long as they got her back, she's got theirs!
It’s also explained that Talon basically has him ignore any semblance of “You’re being trapped!” with his cybernetics, specially expunging figures like Soldier 76 by manifesting something else to get his attention (Like fairies or ants in soldiers case)
I think there’s a different, more chilling subtext to his dialogue with Soldier. “Snap out of it old man, Talon is using you!” “An ant, on the ceiling! Where are you going, little friend?” This line, while sounding completely disconnected from context, actually holds a great deal of meaning and insight into Sigma’s sub-consciousness. He’s stating that he’s playing along with Talon, which he views as a cute, harmless entity, out of simple curiosity for where their mission will lead them. The sideways manner in which he responds to 76 is a show of his disdain for the notion that he’s being used. It’s so nonsensical that it doesn’t even warrant a straight answer. “Hey! I’m talking to you!” “Oh there’s another one! What delightful creatures.” A sarcastic and contemptuous response to 76’s attempt to get his attention, effectively amounting to him saying “how cute”.

I do like how Orisa, even though she hates talon and it’s people, isn’t aggressive with Sigma. Since she possibly can sense his innocence that she is built to protect in her city
I love how his lines in the spawn room shows his curious and wholesome “Dr.” personality along with his naive personality gained from being imprisoned not only physically but mentally, and then his elimination lines are all cold hearted and viscous like the personality he has gotten from working with Talon
The term is Meno’s Paradox, which postulates that the ability of humanity to question is inherently incomplete. It has served as part of the basis for the theory of recollection and the three definitions of virtue.
Someone else already explained it, but it is weird that they referred to the wrong paradox. It could just be that Junkrat just got it wrong, but it seems odd to reference his knowledge of philosophy only for him to get thay reference incorrect. Zeno's paradox is completely different from what Sigma said. It basically goes something like this- if you are walking to a door, you can walk until you are halfway there. Then you walk until you're halfway to it from where you're standing now. Then halfway from there. According to logic, since there are an infinite number of halfways, you will never reach the door, thus it is a paradox.
Sigma in normal conversation: inquiring about weird questions and being a strange kind man Sigma when he kills someone: violating them to he point of bullying
When Junkrat replied to sigma and said "ahhh Xeno's paradox" It reminds me of that one friend who is stupid but surprises you every now and then when he actually says something smart
Him and Sombra are like a caring daughter and a father that is slowly losing himself to Alzheimer’s/Dementia. It’s such an unexpected friendship, but makes sense.

@@danclypse The Iris is basically a State of Enlightenment. The Iris wasn't an omnic, I think you're thinking of the first sentient Omnic, who's name I'm forgetting but shes not the Iris
@@Skibbutz Yeah they dropped the "god omnic" thing after that first comic
@@Skibbutz Aurora
The iris isn't something you can "meet"
@@mitab1 the Iris is a rumored State of Being, seemingly akin to other faith's forms of "Enlightenment". Sigma is clinically insane, and theorized to basically have multiple realities worth of memories and thoughts crashed together, thus it is very possible that a Sigma of an alternate reality has met someone who has achieved the state of being, or even perceived a physical manifestation of the concept.
Man literally hears the universe, I wouldn't be surprised by his mind being invaded by the supernatural as well.
The friendship between Sombra and Sigma is so cute.
Sombra is a sweetheart Ngl she’s nice to everyone
i won't lie, i love how sigma is actually just a sweet guy in the spawn room. he has childlike wonder, curiosity and acts like a child with what he questions. many of the other characters even think so because his idea's are so absurd and random, little do they know he lost his entire mind because he saw what was in a black hole. and the way he switches up to when he's in battle is also pretty crazy, one moment he's a man questioning the unquestionable and then the next he becomes a cold gravitational killing machine.
Sigma is such a chad, definitely my favorite character in Overwatch. Too bad I probably won’t play much tank in OW2. His voice lines are so good as well.
Sombra protecting my boy has undone six years of hate, STAN QUEEN
I like how he’s goofy and eccentric in the spawn room, but for eliminations he’s stone cold and aloof. He’s also completely terrifying when he loses composure
I wish Sigma and Junkrat had more voice lines, just the two of them spiraling down into madness
Especially his interactions with Moira and Sombra.
i lover the interaction between him and Cassidy he seems completely astounded he's like an American cowhand? and cassidy takes it in stride and is just like yep it's the 1880s all over again
I hope Sigma joins overwatch some time in the PvE mode. The Talon agents are so mean to him (barring sombra).
also, the irony of soldier 76 calling him old man.
Sigma honestly looks younger than soldier
Sombra isn’t really a part of talon though she’s not really loyal to them
@@spellls185 talon seems like an organization where the higher ups are trying to fulfill their own goals and interests and only cooperate as to not get their heads beaten in by their boss.
Sombra iirc has been revealed that she actually works under Overwatch but is undercover in Talon. I gotta double check my sources though
@@NoobsiferPainting wouldn't surprise me if she was associated with every major organization considering how useful her skills are in a futuristic society.
How he changes from sweet forgetful gramps to brutal scientist is amazing.
i never realised you could hear voices when using kinetic Grasp 😮
the voices are hungry the voices are hungry the voices are hungr
He used to say "The dragon has been consumed" when eating Hanzo's ult
When he first released, people with Schizophrenia complained some of his sound effects were upsetting (no joke)
You can hear voices during his ultimate, as well. He used to have voices on ALL HIS MOVES during launched and it was changed cause it was too creepy lmao
@@hondsdollekat 😳
It's really interesting how nearly everyone in Talon seems to be being setup to leave at some point.
Moira pressing Widow about seemingly beginning to regain emotions and secretly planning something.
Sombra was never really fully bought in and dislikes some of their methods.
Sigma is very likely to have some sort of redemption where he realizes that he's being used, maybe with Sombra's help.
Reaper also has been thinking about his wife as we see in voice lines and that one Christmas comics plus old overwatch still sees good and him and believe that he can change.
I'm really interested in where the PvE will take them.
Just got to wait several decades before blizzard gives the first mission
@@Deathstroke-gd6kdor wait forever now
@@emma6648 yep. Don't play the game anymore though. Waste of storage space on my laptop.
I love sigma and junkrat being some of the nicest people you’ll meet and they get so mistreated
Then they go deranged the moment they leave spawn lmao
One will tell you about the newest paradox he thought up, the second will ask if you eat your own toenails
@@thescoundrel2 junkrat is a genius still tho, it wasn't his choice he was likely raised in radioactive wasteland, dude can create high efficiency weapons from literal garbage and car parts, a working prosthetic arm and a peg leg that most likely is used to help him propel himself more easily with his mines, and a controlled tire that is so jam packed with explosives it literally kills everyone who's not resistant enough to take the blow ALL FROM CAR PARTS AND TRASH
He's also great with chemicals, he mentions that to Moira, and I mean, he must be, explosives are nothing but chemical reaction with a trigger
Junkrat is just weird because the town he lived in was just as weird
I love his friendship with Winston and Sombra! Sombra shows that she always care for people, even Baptise! As long as they got her back, she's got theirs!
With the exception of Tracer. Tracer hates her guts from what I remember
I hope we get to hear more of sigma's fearful voice, the voice actor is so great at it
Feeling like sigma and sombre are going to have a very good story
God I love sigma.
And I feel so god damn bad about how badly people treats him.
I laughed when Sigma said he meant the iris and Zenyatra was either confused or baffeled.
his voice actor did an amazing job at sounding like he’s in a constant state of confusion
Kinda like my cat.

I like how at 6:13 even Zenn is made uncomfortable by how loony Sigma is
Imagine being a priest for all of your life only to hear this one random guy say he’s met your god. Of course he’s a little weirded out.
@@r.0.b.429 I assume he sees meet iris in his mind in that accident which turn him into him
Appreciate your work bro!! Loving it all
Can’t wait for Soujorn
I love how Sigma is just ADHD personified. Man literally stares at an ant on the ceiling instead of listening to Soldier.
“Snap out of it old man, Talon is using you!”
“An ant, on the ceiling! Where are you going, little friend?”
This line, while sounding completely disconnected from context, actually holds a great deal of meaning and insight into Sigma’s sub-consciousness.
“Hey! I’m talking to you!”
“Oh there’s another one! What delightful creatures.”
A sarcastic and contemptuous response to 76’s attempt to get his attention, effectively amounting to him saying “how cute”.
@@fakename2926 most likely if they ever expand on sigmas story it would be revealed that talon was never actually able to take away his free will and he tries to kill them because they were only needed as a means to acheiving his true goals
He doesn’t have adhd 😂 He’s fucking crazy
As somebody with ADHD, I can confirm. My brain is a bunch of tangled wires.
Draw!
I felt a chill!
The Dragon has been consumed!
Justice has embraced me!
I have harnessed the harness!
Gravity is shackled!
Dang! You were busy last night!
So glad they’re really leaning into Sigma’s insane side. It remains both light-hearted and really concerning.
4:55 the way he says "charming" is quite charming
"An ant on the ceiling. Where are you going, little friend? Oh there's another one. What delightful little creatures."
I'm in this picture and I don't like it
It thrills me to put aside my work and humor your brilliant videos, Proto. It thrills me.
I do like how Orisa, even though she hates talon and it’s people, isn’t aggressive with Sigma. Since she possibly can sense his innocence that she is built to protect in her city
The switch between his lighter and more fun personality and his darker side is just fucking amazing
god i'd KILL to know more about sigma's backstory. he needs a proper animated short, NOW!
I love the contrast between being a precious bean to his team and being absolute sadistically evil to the enemy team at the same time
sigma has such a unique personality and i love it
The friendship between Sombra, Sigma and Junkrat needs more lore!
6:06 "AH, APPLIED SCIENCE!"
fucking gold
7:15 NAW HE WRONG FOR THAT ONE 💀
Definitely seems more tragic this time around, as opposed to insane evil.
i’ve only just noticed the echo on sigmas voice, adds to his whole instability idea :)
That Winston elimination line was brutal
I am loving all of his and Moira’s musings!!!! I’m a rein/sigma main so it’s great to see
I love how his lines in the spawn room shows his curious and wholesome “Dr.” personality along with his naive personality gained from being imprisoned not only physically but mentally, and then his elimination lines are all cold hearted and viscous like the personality he has gotten from working with Talon
1. Sombra seems to be concerned for the grandad of the group
2. Is the Zeno's paradox thing accurate?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeno%27s_paradoxes
The term is Meno’s Paradox, which postulates that the ability of humanity to question is inherently incomplete. It has served as part of the basis for the theory of recollection and the three definitions of virtue.
Junkrat is a savant, while practically incompetent at many things, he's virtually a genius in very specific areas.
@@jaspertaylor2810 ohhh. Maybe they named it wrong for copyright or junkrat remembered wrong
Kind words 😃 Thank you! 😁👍

Sigma in normal conversation: inquiring about weird questions and being a strange kind man
Sigma when he kills someone: violating them to he point of bullying
Sombra is so attached to that man and it's sweet. The outcasts have imprinted on each other, sir. Look at them. They've found their family.
Sombra and sigmas friendship is so wholesome I love it.
When Junkrat replied to sigma and said "ahhh Xeno's paradox" It reminds me of that one friend who is stupid but surprises you every now and then when he actually says something smart
Sombra: You got to stop frying his brain.
Moira: I'm helping him.
Sigma: *Says all the things in the video*
Moira: OK....you got a point.
I loved the interaction between him and Lucio since in his backstory he mentions a melody and here he calls lucio’s music distracting
6:18 Love how Zenyatta looked around when Sigma said that there are no repulsors detected
There is another line when he absorbs Zarya's ult: "I have harnessed the harness."
I like to imagine that a part of Sigma that is still self-aware purposefully thinks up these philosophical questions just to irritate Moira
Waiting for the day we would be able to get Kiriko interactions
They'd have to get some Symmetra interactions first.
Him and Sombra are like a caring daughter and a father that is slowly losing himself to Alzheimer’s/Dementia. It’s such an unexpected friendship, but makes sense.
I like Sigma’s random inquiries, they get me thinking and scratching my head like “Woah, is he on to something, or are we all crazy?”
I only just noticed this but when he used his kinetic grasp (absorb) you hear whispers.
That's terrifying
The zenyatta interaction is funny to me because it feels like either the Iris is something zen hasnt met or that zen made it up and feels weird that someone is out grifting him.
I think it's more likely that the Iris is not an entity but a spiritual force, so it wouldn't make sense to meet it.
@@danclypse The Iris is basically a State of Enlightenment. So, you could technically meet with it, by meeting any being who has achieved the status, or by merely approaching the state of being yourself. Sigma hears the universe itself, I wouldn't be surprised if the supernatural wasn't creeping into him as well.
He’s such a sweetheart! No wonder why he’s my favorite tank hero! 🖤
1:12
i feel a hint of sadness
maybe he can drown out the "melody" with other music
Hoping they do stuff with my boy Sigma in the Story Mode. He is such a goofy guy. I love him
Given that sigma's mind was bent by a literal black hole that made him go insane it's quite possible he actually did meet the iris
Damn idk if the fact that there are tank interactions show the dedication to create a story out of the voice lines or if they did these before they decided on 5v5
I absolutely love eldrich grandpa
I love how Zen sounds so fucking pissed when Sigma says he's met the iris
7:37 I think I've heard this outside of shutting down Deadeye. It's a kill quote, I just can't 100% remember when. It might just be when killing Cassidy, but I'm not sure.
Simga has amazing voice lines, but my favorite interaction has to be the one with Soldier. Just: "Hey, you're being used" while Sigma's over here looking at some ants on a ceiling, giving a grand total of zero craps.
I also managed to get the line from stopping Genji's ult in unranked. I'm not sure if it needs to be the rock specifically or just killing him with the ult active, but it's an amazing line.
His interactions with Sombra are also surprisingly wholesome.
He is a such a confident and curious scientist never sees a failure as a negative
I love how even zennyata is confused about how to deal with sigma.
I'm pretty sure there's a line when absorbing pharah ULT
"Justice rains from above!"
"Justice has embraced me!"
The way Sigma sounds in the lobby compared to when he eliminates someone is so scary. He goes from a curious and kind scientist to a cold, insulting killer. Almost as if his other personalities switch when fighting.
Sigma would probably wan't to hear Winstons joke about the periodic table
When using Kinetic Grasp and wearing headphones, it sounds like there’s voices whispering to you
Sombra knows that he is not well, and cares for him. Thats so wholesome.
Da king is back baby he neva miss
