My suggestion is to have Nia in her blade form so you can have Rex heal the party, periodically, it's going to call for assistants, so I would take them out when they arrive so they won't be causing extra damage. It took me a couple of tries to beat the fight.

Can skip the boss by running to the ladder. Once you start climbing the ladder, the boss dissapears.
