Fast forward to today, and that same lifestyle now costs me around $3,000 a month. It’s quite a jump, especially considering that if you calculate the rising costs at 6% annually for 11 years, it brings you to about $3,027. This really highlights how much the average real inflation has affected our budgets over the years. For everyone planning for retirement, it's crucial to account for potential annual expense increases of around 6% just to maintain our standard of living. It’s a tough reality, but being prepared can help us navigate these changes more comfortably.

It depends on who you're selling to. Defense contractors make 10,000% more on basic parts, because the Pentagon doesn't buy from anyone else and the price ballooned over time. Sometimes you have to find the right demographic then speak to them the right way.
What I believe is there's always some way. Just because you cannot find it doesn't mean it isnt possible. Maybe you probably cannot find a $50 thing to sell for $1K but I have sold stuff online for like 400% profit margin. I used to sell this thing which I bought for like $20 for $100. Exactly, like he said in the video, don't price your services or product based on what they cost you but based on how much valuable people find it. I used to work maybe like 20 mins a day to promote it manually (No paid advertising) and it used to generate me like $400-$500 a month which is alot for someone from a third world country.

@@conesanexus I think he means that you still have to pay to get those customers in the door, at $100 cost each. One out of every 3 customers goes beyond the free trial leading to the $300 cost. Then of this subset of customers that are now paying, one out of three never stop paying. To target this new subset specifically it would cost you $900 to find that one solid and loyal client, but to find them you had to pay and go through 9 clients. Then continue the process to build an army of those loyal clients each paying $1200/y consistently
@@conesanexus he says that 1 out of 3 free trials becomes a costumer, and 1 out of 3 of those who become costumers becomes permanant. Anything you can write off (money you spend for running the business) is tax free. While you increase the total rev which mean your evaluation would go up (usually 10x) if you spend the extra money on assets, acquiring customers and basically any form of reinvesting that costs money you don't have to pay taxes for that money. Example from my niche. I make 100k this year, I spent a huge portion of it on camera equipment and marketing for acquiring new customers. Now the customers are here, they are very valuable I can produce more and better content with the equipment I have, the money from the equipment is still there (even though for electronic it depreciates) but I spent money I needed to spend at some point without paying taxes for that amount of money. The worst thing you can do as opposed to this way would be to get the money as a salary and then spend it on a personal asset that you are gonna use for business work. Aka I used my salary as a owner to buy the equipment for example and still use it for work. That means I'm paying for it with taxed income and I'm paying the VAT on the product (if you are in Europe you know what vat is, and you can write VAT off if you are a company and you purchase stuff for the company)
@@kerberatorgames2069 if you were to do it in Estonia, you would not be taxed by net income before you take them out of the company. In fact you would only be paying for profits you take out. So even more better.

If I was to start a business where I sell carplay headunits, or dashcams for example how would I make more money from a customer after they've already bought? I get the Starbucks example mentioned in the video but that's pretty obvious; if someone likes the coffee they drank they would most likely come back for more. I retired in 2012, looking forward to a comfortable and stable lifestyle. Back then, my monthly expenses-covering rent, food, utilities, and insurance-amounted to $1,600.

Listen, sell it for 100000 instead. Then you only have to sell 10 lol
It's possible, just figure out how. What have the most impact on the price, it will cost you more money, time and energy but it will be WORTH it.

Great video Hormozi! People who are actually wants to work hard so they can be their own Boss will thank you for the rest of their life!
See, business is for those who are willing to stick with it, believe in themselves and are serious about it. Its also a bit skill based. You got to have something to offer the market that nobody else can.
On an Off note, I see some people saying "He's making money by saying he can make money", I'll have you know his knowledge is no joke, genuine, invaluable experience he's sharing with others for free. You should be grateful. Instead of having this mindset of criticizing others because you yourself know you aren't doing anything better, You should focus on improving. No matter what field, even if a job, you got skills, instead of being jealous, be positive. That'll be helpful. Did you know positive energy can empower you in every manner while negative one eats at you? You're more than this social media, you can improve any day. So walk with A positive mindset, see the good in others, for what you take notice of, You become.

The permanent CAC is what threw me off. He said 1 of 3 ppl stays forever so it’s actually $900 as a cost of acquiring a customer?
@@BalancedLifeHubspot I don’t get that ether. If one out of three becomes permanent then after a year that one permanent gives a profit of $900 not a cost of $900. $1200-$300=$900. This is a profit. That permanent CAC has me completely befuddled.
In other words, u get a permanent costumer out of 9 people who come for fre trials, and each one costs 100$ so the permanant costumer actually costs 900$ to get one. Understood?

How is it tax free? I missed that part. 30:56
Me too
You don't get taxed on valuation of business increasing
Tax deferred*
@@kerberatorgames2069 if you were to do it in Estonia, you would not be taxed by net income before you take them out of the company. In fact you would only be paying for profits you take out. So even more better.

If I was to start a business where I sell carplay headunits, or dashcams for example how would I make more money from a customer after they've already bought? I get the Starbucks example mentioned in the video but that's pretty obvious; if someone likes the coffee they drank they would most likely come back for more. But how would you get someone to come back after they have already purchased a table for $20,000 like alex mentioned in the video?
