It’s interesting that you refer to creative block because to be honest, I really don’t think your videos require too much creative input. By that I mean you’re one of the few RUclipsr’s that can just pick up the camera and film whatever it is you’re doing and the videos will always be entertaining. Nooooooo, sssst!🤫 How would the Will's videos be funny if you reveal all the sauce😂There is huge amount of viewers like me who watch just to see all disaster and chaos. Let's go @WillsWhereabouts don't look up Haynes and you can jack every car everywhere, just don't stick your head under please!
I love you Will but you nearly killed yourself. The axle stands go the other way, the V is to grab the sill. Jack up from a jacking point, not the under tray and not worth using a broken jack, your life’s worth more. Please be careful brother❤️
@@highlikesuperman Yeah I could not watch how he gave his life to these 2 small pieces of wood in between, that was mental!😅 Was saying for myself put at least some spare wheel under the car so it's not going to crush your skull mate🤯
you did it ,but please find out where your jacking points are and place the axle stands securely not on pieces of wood these can split and fall apart and fair play to you for attempting the service on your own spark plugs can be notoriously difficult, with cross threading the thread as you put it back in being very costly to repair ,keep doing what your doing and learning as you go
A good tip - don’t ever leave the car on the jack when you are working underneath it. Always use axle stands positioned as close to the wheels as safely as possible because if the jack collapses with you under the car it will not be nice.
Engines need three things. Fuel, air and spark. Your air filter regulates the air coming into the engine, filtering solid parts that will clogg your injectors. Your spark plugs obviously ignite the fuel. Oil lubricates the engine. Hope that helps. Next week, coilovers?
Engine needs Air, Fuel and Spark. Air induction brings the air in, filter makes sure that air is clean. Fuel filter keeps the fuel clean but you also need a good fuel pump. Spark Plugs add the spark. If any of that aint right, your engine will be lumpy or wont run.
It’s 100% easier if you leave the gloves on as the oil filter is going to get oily anyway and most mechanics will only take the gloves off and bin them after doing all the oily stuff.
Air filter keeps dirt and other debris from interning the throttle body which then enters the engine. Dirt and debris can ruin various components and cotanimate the oil which gets into even more crevaces.
Don't trust that design of axle stand not to fail or snap due to it only having teeth on one side and often being made from cast metal rather than solid machined steel. The tube type design where a pin goes right through the tube is far safer all round.
If I did not live in the states I'd love to come help you work on cars! My dad taught me all I know. Plus I am more fun than a RUclips video! Love watching you!
The air is pulled into the carb, the air filter does exactly what it says, it stops excess dust and other crap going in, you shouldn't need to remove the plastic box to replace it just the lid.
Great to see you back - I was wondering where Will really was after all this time! Really enjoyed this - I really should be able to service my £800 Fiesta myself but this has proved that I have neither the skills nor the time. Really bloody funny, though - you're a natural on camera! Looking forward to seeing what becomes of Mary. 😄
The air filter, keeps larger particles from getting into the engine. Air is sucked in with fuel and then compressed before being ignited by the spark plug

Mate you absolutely crack me up (in a good way) If anything can go wrong then it does but love your videos as they are true to life and not made up rubbish like some.. Keep it going 👍
Well that's done the engine service.... Part two is brakes, steering and suspension . By the way, you might have had a socket to do spark plugs in the Halfords set?
When it comes to reparing your car, I would love to see a colab with a channel like autoalex. I think it would be fun to watch, give both of you more viewers, save you some money, and they could answer all your car related question! Maybe with the Transit?
It’s a 4 stroke engine. You just need to remember Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow. Suck means piston going down. This pulls air through the air filter (you don’t want bits of cr*p in your engine) into the cylinder. The piston goes back up and Squeezes the air. Just before it gets to the top, if it’s an injection vehicle a bit of fuel gets chucked into the mix and the spark plug sparks and ignites it all and it goes Bang and shoves the piston down again. Piston then goes back up and shoves the exhaust out via the exhaust pipe and the whole thing happens again.
Good on you mate, I love your videos and your willingness to try new things! Couple of bits of info: 1) get a good set of torque wrenches, most things in an engine have to be tightened to a specific torque settings, to ensure a secure fit but also not overtightened as that increases wear meaning parts fail quicker, for example if you over tighten your sump plug you can crush the seal to the point where it no longer does it job and you get an oil leak from the sump plug itself. Also: spark plugs - spark plugs provide the spark that ignites the fuel/oxygen mix in your cylinders combustion chamber that explosion forces the cylinder down thereby rotating the crankshaft that ultimately through the gearbox provides the drive to the wheels. In newer vehicles ignition coil pack are controlled by a computer and the computer tells the ignition coils in which order to fire to ignite fuel and drive the cylinders Down in the right order. In older vehicles this function was performed by a distributor that was connected via HT leads to the spark plugs and there was an ignition cap that rotated inside the distributor cap and each time it past a contact it sent a spark of electricity down thereby rotating HT lead to the relevant spark plug causing it to fire to drive the engine. If you really want to learn about engines get yourself a little single cylinder petrol lawn mower, and literally just strip down the engine and build it back up again you’ll learn loads by doing it and also build up your confidence after that and engine is really just multiples of that depending on how many cylinders your dealing with, your BMW 120 is a 4 cylinder inline engine the cylinders are labelled 1,2,3,4 from the front of the engine, the order in which the cylinders fire for your engine is 1-3-4-2 for your information.
Loving watching you do jobs, perhaps your next new tool should be an extending magnetic stick, so you can retrieve tools & screws etc.😊 well done for having a go.
When Jacking a car up, always check where the jacking points are because using the plastic guard is obviously not the best start, you normally have two on each side, old cars quite often had a cross member under the engine that you can use but a lot of newer cars don’t. I would suggest asking uncle google and watching a RUclips video 😉
Haha I did check uncle Google and watched multiple RUclips videos that all showed the exact way I had done it. There’s a central jacking point on the front of my car which is what I used I just missed it by an inch the first time hence why I cracked the plastic 😂😂

The air filter will hold dirt out of the air intake to your engien/motor so sand and dust and other things that can and will damage your engien/motor, spark plugs will ignite the petrol/gasoline if they are worn out your car will not run or miss fire, why did you not service your brakes ? change break pads, on a car it's recomended to change the coolant once a year why the coolant looses the anti frease point and if it freases the coolant can frease in the motor/engien and the block will crack and the motor/engien is scrap

Use your phone to take a pictures of things before you begin - especially brakes etc. so you know how to put things back. Good to have a tray or box lid to put tools and parts in when you are working underneath too - keep them clean and off the floor. Great to see you back Will while you where away i was watching other people doing van builds and seen some good ideas, its great to hear that you and your girl is going to get a new place to stay
Cheers Richard

There was a lot of 'oh y god' and cringing while watching this but I take my hat off to you because it takes guts to try something you've never done before and you're filming yourself doing it. Well-done and good luck
Love the new car and it pays to do your own work on it as the mechanics charge loads and u learn from fixing things yourself and save on money. Thanks for sharing cheers mate!
Thanks Lee mate
Don't use wooden block on axle stand
Well done will, if you decide to keep the wood move from the front door to the back it may get damp
You remind me of Ethan Overton. You two should make a collabe as he does car stuff and is similar to you. 😊
Good have you back..best wishes from Wales 🏴
