Been dressing by colour of the month for years; Jan black and white, Feb blue, March silver & grey, April Green, May lavender, June Pink, July sky blue, August deep green or multi, September orange, October brown, Nov Purple, Dec red and green. Only one item needs to be the colour so jeans fit all year and sometimes it is just earrings! Advantage is that as a visual learner and scatterbrain it helps organise and makes decisions. As years go by it gets easier as you replace clothes with the right season weight in the relevant colour but it means all my clothes get worn too! Also it's my rule and I can break it if I want too ;)

I've always wanted to always wear pretty dresses & feel feminine but never felt like I could be, no matter how many times my husband said that I'm beautiful to him. My ex-husband put me down & we haven't been together in 25yrs but his words still haunt me. I'm trying to see myself the way Jesus & my husband does but it is hard at times. I love and appreciate the positive body image talk. I am a plus size girl that didn't use to be and over the past several years I have gotten very fed up with the idea that if you are over a certain size you should lose weight. I have learned how to embrace my body (mostly, still struggle some days but that's life) and appreciate where I am. When I was thinner I was never satisfied with my body. Learning to be happy with myself at any size has changed my world.
I feel ya. I have always been on the bigger side. I’ve pretty much been the same size in my late twenties and thirties. Then stress decided to make a change in my late thirties where I gained weight. I decided to make a changed. I then had cancer which put a stop to my journey. After I turned 40 life changed with the pandemic and my body changed with stress. Just recently I came to the conclusion that my body image is perfect right where it’s at now. I felt down for a whole year because I couldn’t wear what I liked. Now I’m embracing where I’m at.

Thank you for giving me the push I needed to buy more dresses I feel good in. I’m a mother of 5, I have a belly and I’m visually impaired and have ADHD. I LOVE vintage dresses and do have a couple, but was always so worried that I looked silly or that those styles of dresses weren’t for women like me. Seeing how much joy you get from your clothes and actually hearing you say, “I have a lot of kids and I have a belly” actually brought tears to my eyes because I can finally give myself permission to enjoy my wardrobe and wear what I love.
What you said around the 15:00 minute mark, was not only what I needed to hear but so true!! I I have given birth to 4 children and have struggled with my body/weight for as long as I can remember and now I am struggling with weight issues due to an underactive thyroid. Ok, let’s talk about how great your channel is for a minute…this was the first channel where I felt like my house is not necessarily out of the norm. The first video of yours that I saw was a cleaning one and it looked like my house. Previously I had felt like there must be something wrong with me and no one’s house looked like mine. Maybe needing some paint touched up, dust, lots of things I’ve collected and love. Now you just said another thing that makes me feel seen (as they say). It seems everyone else says you shouldn’t hang onto things if they no longer fit, but you just pointed out that you can hang onto things you love, knowing that your body changes. I have done that and fit back into things after years and love them! Thank you for putting that out into the universe for others to hear. 🙌🏾✨ Thank you for all you do with your platform. Also, (said this before) screw the haters. They suck and should go somewhere else to judge.
My house also has the lived in look. And right now it looks like a storm happened in here with stuff everywhere! And it’s just me and my doggie, no kids to blame the mess on. 😅 However, I just spent over an hour working on my bedroom. Tomorrow I hope to clean the kitchen. Wish I still had energy like back in my 40’s. Being a senior is a challenge for some of us that need repairs and replacement parts. 🤷♀️

My aunt sewed her own dresses. They were a 50’s or early 60’s style. She made one for me which is still in my closet! ❤️It is a green sleeveless floral with a belt. I’m so thankful for it. I wish I had that talent. There is still hope for the future. Your dresses look so beautiful on you.

And for others, it's being surrounded by the things you love peeking or bursting out of every nook and cranny, full of fun and color. And they are both ok and beautiful. I've been waiting to catch up on some videos and I always love watching your channel! It's like catching up with a friend! You're a mom with real interests that align with mine, and stopping into watch your videos recharges me. I don't dress entirely vintage, but I do wear a fair amount of dresses and love having functioning pieces that fit my body and make me feel beautiful today (especially when I'm outside or cooking). I have more self love for myself today than I did 10 years ago when I met my husband. I feel like a happier version of myself today and while not every day is perfect, I love that I get to feel happy as a go along in life. Sending many virtual hugs from one neurospicy mom to another 🧡
We could not be more different body types if we tried (I’m 6’1”, 132 pounds and trying to gain weight) but what you said about your body is so inspiring. Nobody looks at their body the way that they should, well, except for maybe you. We’re all comparing and contrasting and for some women that proves deadly. Wow, you really do have a lot of beautiful dresses! Its actually a myth that women had just a few dresses, ive read in many places women rarely had many clothes. But both my Nans, (who were not rich) for who the 40's and 50's were their young women/hoousewife "golden years", , when they passed away, they hhad rows of wardrobes of day and church dresses. And phootos of my nan in 1969, when she was 45, she had the wholle kit on. Outside the church shes dresed very well, with a hat, gloves, sensible heels and matching handbag. I had only known her as the "farmers wife" workday look. Far taller and vary plus size, she was still so elegant, and you are so ellegant in all of that. Beautiful!

I'm on my way to losing at least 80 pounds, but I'm doing it sensibly, and if I want a piece of cheesecake once in a while, I'll do so. Wow, I can't believe you've had 5 kids, how wonderful, and how busy! Your dresses are absolutely gorgeous, you've inspired me to search for vintage dresses!!
These dresses are truly beautiful and stylish on Kristina. How lovely those fashions were back then ! I own similar ones too, and would be happy to see girls and women in such styles on the streets, in stores and anywhere else, where other people present ( as opposed to ugly shorts and pajama pants with worn out t-shirts ). Looking at Kristina is a gift for everyone with an artistic eye.
VINTAGE SUITCASES: an idea- I have seen them stacked and placed in living areas as a sort of side/end tables, not necessarily for holding your drinks but for keeping items that won't break or be used every five minutes. You could keep old books in them, or vintage games for game nights... Anything that fits your life or that you need extra storage for. Just an idea. Even for your bedroom.
Love your collection! You have so many beautiful garments. Good choice to sell some things. I find if I don't absolutely love something, I am happier if I let it go. The space it opens up gives me joy!
I also use bins! I only keep what I’m actually wearing in my closet. I pick from my bins a combo of what fits my current size and the current weather… as well as my current vibe 😎 It’s really nice to go shopping in my bins when it’s time for a new vibe. It creates so many opportunities to walk down memory lane!

My advise would be to find a good tailor, I have a Turkish gentleman who for a few pounds makes anything fit beautifully.

And it’s just me and my doggie, no kids to blame the mess on. 😅 However, I just spent over an hour working on my bedroom. Tomorrow I hope to clean the kitchen. Wish I still had energy like back in my 40’s. Being a senior is a challenge for some of us that need repairs and replacement parts. 🤷♀️

My aunt sewed her own dresses. They were a 50’s or early 60’s style. She made one for me which is still in my closet! ❤️It is a green sleeveless floral with a belt. I’m so thankful for it. I wish I had that talent. There is still hope for the future. Your dresses look so beautiful on you.

I've been waiting to catch up on some videos and I always love watching your channel! It's like catching up with a friend! You're a mom with real interests that align with mine, and stopping into watch your videos recharges me. I don't dress entirely vintage, but I do wear a fair amount of dresses and love having functioning pieces that fit my body and make me feel beautiful today (especially when I'm outside or cooking). I have more self love for myself today than I did 10 years ago when I met my husband. I feel like a happier version of myself today and while not every day is perfect, I love that I get to feel happy as a go along in life. Sending many virtual hugs from one neurospicy mom to another 🧡
We could not be more different body types if we tried (I’m 6’1”, 132 pounds and trying to gain weight) but what you said about your body is so inspiring. Nobody looks at their body the way that they should, well, except for maybe you. We’re all comparing and contrasting and for some women that proves deadly. Thank you for being so positive and natural that you didn’t make it your entire personality, it’s just who you are- that’s inspiring!

Wow, you really do have a lot of beautiful dresses! Its actually a myth that women had just a few dresses, ive read in many places women rarely had many clothes. But both my Nans, (who were not rich) for who the 40's and 50's were their young women/hoousewife "golden years", , when they passed away, they hhad rows of wardrobes of day and church dresses. And phootos of my nan in 1969, when she was 45, she had the wholle kit on. Outside the church shes dresed very well, with a hat, gloves, sensible heels and matching handbag. I had only known her as the "farmers wife" workday look. Far taller and vary plus size, she was still so elegant, and you are so ellegant in all of that. Beautiful!

I'm on my way to losing at least 80 pounds, but I'm doing it sensibly, and if I want a piece of cheesecake once in a while, I'll do so. Wow, I can't believe you've had 5 kids, how wonderful, and how busy! Your dresses are absolutely gorgeous, you've inspired me to search for vintage dresses!!
These dresses are truly beautiful and stylish on Kristina. How lovely those fashions were back then ! I own similar ones too, and would be happy to see girls and women in such styles on the streets, in stores and anywhere else, where other people present ( as opposed to ugly shorts and pajama pants with worn out t-shirts ). Looking at Kristina is a gift for everyone with an artistic eye.

VINTAGE SUITCASES: an idea- I have seen them stacked and placed in living areas as a sort of side/end tables, not necessarily for holding your drinks but for keeping items that won't break or be used every five minutes. You could keep old books in them, or vintage games for game nights... Anything that fits your life or that you need extra storage for. Just an idea. Even for your bedroom.
