Our kitten is THE WORST when I’m sewing 😂😂😂 she once jumped into my ironing board and knocked the entire thing over including the iron which was on 😒😂 lucky for her I was right there and we have wood floors so nothing was burned but OH MY GOSH CAT
You should see my dogs. My girl is trying to stick her nose under the sewing machine arm when I'm sewing. I have to be really careful so she won't get hurt by the needle but, at the same time I find it so funny. Obviously, I can't leave anything unattended or herself and her brother will have the fabric and thread ripped to shreds. Shredding things is their favourite thing to do. My cats definitely don't cause that much trouble.
I love Bernadette Banner. She's amazing. You are as well. I too am a chaos sewer. My sewing machine died so I haven't made anything in a good while. Your outfits are wonderful.
Going to pretend like I wasn’t stalking your channel for a new video and saw this one 14 minutes after you posted 😂 Always so fun and encouraging to watch you and come along on the journeys in your home 🥰❤️
Great save on the skirt portion of the dress. It happens to al of us. Small hint for your vest/bodice. I make these all the time for the past 30+ years. If you make a small channel between the button holes and the edge of the vest, then you can slide one zip-tie in there. Then when you lace up the vest it won't scrunch down and the lacings will hold better. Don't put it behind the buttonhole, that defeats the purpose, you have to put it at the edge before the button holes. Yes a larger or more bulky ribbon would look best with it.
Sewing for 50+ years here and that is a tip I’ve used for most of my life. Works a charm to keep everything from wrinkling, pulling, and sliding to where you don’t want it. Zip ties have a great use in sewing, a much less expensive and less intimidating option than saying “use a boning channel”. It’s the same thing but for some reason my beginner students take to it a lot easier than discussing boning which they tend to think of as complicated corsetry.
Well Kristina I'm a sewer I've been sewing since I was young I taught myself , you certainly did not make mistakes you wing it as you go❤😂and did a fabulous job😊
"That candle is overperforming" Oh I laughed so much! I can't sew... ok well I can sew a button on....I need to learn. Thank you dear. Once again you made me smile.
I know it seems counterintuitive, but when you hem with the machine…turn the fabric under and sew on the right side. It is so much easier. I sewed for years, made every stitch I wore.
Love all these things! You made them so quickly - and what an eye you have to have eye balled so much of it - pattern Co-ordination is also beautiful! You have inspired me to take that part made dress out and finish it off! Thank you! Beautiful aesthetic too! Xxx
You and Your Family are so freaking stinking cute.. Love your videos and even my almost 4 year old was enthralled with what you were doing. ~Jeannie PS: That Gourd Mug.. LOL Had me laughing.... love it!
Ok. That’s it. You totally gave the me push I needed to both figure out this whole editing/uploading delay I am having to post again, and to go sew again!!!❤❤
I love that you cut your notches OUT ward. My mom was lucky enough to live in Germany while my Dad was in service. He bought her a Pfaff machine and she got free sewing lessons at the Pfaff warehouse! Can you imagine?? She instilled all those professional tidbits with me and one was to sew notches outward.
Pfaff are the best machines. Everyone cuts there notches outward. You couldn’t cut them inward they would go through your seam. Am I missing something??
@@christined4842 I've seen many many sewists cut a notch inward. Or just a little snip. I would be lost with those, very few seem to cut those notches outward so I loved seeing it.
I snip or use awl holes and I thread mark. It’s the difference between commercial and home sewing. If you watch a lot of production sewists, they are more likely to use the commercial methods.
Congratulations on sewing your outfits, they turned out very nice considering all the struggles you had. Your baby looks cute in this video he or she is listening to you as you speak. Looking forward to the next video.
My favorites are the first dress & the scarecrow-chic skirt. That skirt is gorgeous! I especially like the colorful pumpkin fabric. Great job! (I also love seeing your adorable cat in these videos. ❤🐈❤)
Love your videos, your style and subjects. It was fun to see you outside - and the rain! I grew up in Seattle. I may be inspired to get into my fabric stash now, thank you!
I absolutely love all your videos! I've been just binging channel the last few days after getting back from a trip and I'm so jet-lagged. You seem like such an amazing person. I feel like if we knew each other in person, we'd totally be friends! I pray that God blesses your channel, as well as you and your beautiful family!❤ Thank you for making beautiful and authentic content and never stop being you.
You are sooo creative. These outfits are all fabulous. Is there a dress designer future in your pocket?!? And love those flip over pockets w button. You look beautiful.
I love how all your pieces turned out. It hs given me such inspiration for my own fall wardrobe. Also, for my daughter who is learning to sew. She loves the skirt and now wants to try making one.
You are so adorable. I really enjoy watching your creative endeavors. Everything looked so great. Please tell me you have plans to host a caramel apple party or something. You need to show off your creations!
It all turned out soooooo GOOD!!! Love the way you styled both, especially the dress! Great boots and hair for this! (and makeup!) Picture Perfect! You ARE a sewer! And designer!
Good job! I really like the vest best. Last time I sewed something was probably 30 or so years ago. So my machine is like brand new. Not sure I remember how to thread it properly! 😅
I've done the exact same mistake. And you are teach gf. 😊lol I do enjoy your personality and videos. Keep teaching lady. Your a beautiful breath of fresh air.💛 Just sayin.
Hello, thanks for show your little problèms and how you fond solutions!!! All what you have donne It's Absolutely fabulous! I would like do it same in thé and off my week with a skirt a dressé and an corset !!! Congratulations
Absolutely gorgeous, a real success! It helps to have the classic hourglass. Have you thought of little leather laces? Unexpected, but it could be quite nice. You seem to be the type that looks good in any colour, so surprised the orange one was my favourite.
Leather laces is a great idea! And I don't have an hourglass figure, I just tend to proportion myself that way ;) I'm a pear/spoon shape in the world of "what's your actual body type".
Awesome video! Love the outfits, specially the first dress, i need to find that pattern. I also love the fact that in all your videos you are so genuine. you are a inspiration. !
Hi Kristina. I was so pleased to see you had posted. Tx you. Luuv the lipstick you have on with the mustard top. You are a very talented lady. Very best wishes from Perth Western Australia. 😊🐾
The way the baby looks at you just melts my heart. You’re clearly a hero. ❤️
Yes, sooo sweet how he smiles while he looks in his moms face ❤
What a wonderful, romantic and very feminine style. I also like your adorable deer makeup, its so beautiful ❤
I love to see other people’s cats causing chaos during sewing 😂😂 my two love biting the thread 😂😂

I love how they all came out and the kitty cat “helper” was precious. Proud of you for getting through all these pieces.
The kitty helper is the worst LOL.
The patchwork skirt is gorgeous! Lovely fabric combinations
Well Kristina I'm a sewer I've been sewing since I was young I taught myself , you certainly did not make mistakes you wing it as you go❤😂and did a fabulous job😊
Oooh, the ✨twirlability✨ of that skirt!!
Amazed at how so many mistakes turned your dress into such a beautiful piece of art. It's my favorite but I also like the reversible vest. 💋
Kitty content is what we all needed to see. I hope you’re as happy with your results as we are to see your new clothing. Beautiful.
I love the last one you look like a younger prettier version of Mary Sanderson from Hocus pocus
"That candle is overperforming" Oh I laughed so much! I can't sew... ok well I can sew a button on....I need to learn. Thank you dear. Once again you made me smile.
The mistakes make this so relatable and the end product turned out so beautiful. You rock!
