Quick note! Someone asked about a few videos I made that are no longer visible on my channel -- as I said over on the community page these are now on my ko-fi page! There were a few videos that didn't perform well, and as I evaluate what content I want to put out here I'll be updating ko-fi with videos I don't feel will do well on my main channel. There's no paywall and they're completely free to view! Ko-fi is linked in my description. xo Kristina
Oh my God, an actual mom with an actual house and all is real! Don't see too much real anymore. You are perfect, just stay the way you are being a wife, mom and homemaker😊
Ikr!!! There's so many fake women "influencers" (whatever that means, they haven't influenced me yet) on yt that Kristina is a lovely breathe of fresh air! I love it. Now she's truly influenced me today to clean, dust, water my plants (they ❤ her), and I've binged her channel while working and resting!!!
You had me at " there's a peach on the floor. How lovely!" Lol...A real person with a real household ..and a kitchen that gets cluttered! Just discovered your channel. Thanks for keeping it REAL!
Thinking of you. Hoping you’ve made changes and feel better. Depression is a crazy thing to have, just be kind to yourself. Hugs love and much thoughts with you.
Kristina: you showed your vintage electric knife on this episode and said you have not used it yet. Electric knives are the absolute best knife for cutting homemade bread and good for cutting turkey and ham at the holidays. This type of electric knife is also outstanding for cutting things like upholstery foam and Styrofoam for crafting and other DIY projects. I have a a Sunbeam electric knife from 1987 that was a wedding gift. I use it for carving the turkey or ham at all the major holidays. I would bet your 1950s to 60s vintage knife is even more fabulous than mine!
The worse thing the fda did was mandate expired/ best by dates. Quite honestly, the only thing it does is line the pockets of food companies. I work in a grocery store and the amount of unnecessary food waste is astounding. As a home canner, I can tell you we will never go hungry. If I listened and put into practice what is now considered food safety I would definitely be food insecure. Listen, donate expired food! It is OK. Use your common sense. If food looks bad smells bad, is 10 years since processing, yeah, probably best not to consume. Additionally, fact is our own government stock piles food in huge bunkers all over the U.S. in the event of national disasters. The mre’s the military provides service men and women guess what…never go bad. Rule of nature, you will eat if starving, I mean really starving that which you normally wouldn’t. Finally, and do your own research. The biggest problem healthwise in the U.S is NOT starvation… it’s obesity. Get real people. Rant over. This really upsets me.
There are some items where I adhere to best before dates, that are mostly animal products (though with eggs, I like to do the floating test to be sure) and sometimes other products that have processed fruit or veg in them, that sort of stuff. I also treat the best before date as an actual „best before“ and not „lethal after“ date. As in, if expired, use caution, check item. I’ve definitely had some non-expired meats go bad through no bad handling on my end of the production line, so I’m diligent there anyway, even if not yet expired. Other things like bread, I go by eye. And with dried goods like rice and even more so sugar and salt all that „best before“ is frankly ridiculous. I mean, honey gets an expiration date of what, two years? There has been honey found in egyptian pyramids that is about 5000 years old and still perfectly edible, as honey apparently is the only natural product that doesn‘t go bad. At all. I mean, it can crystalize, but that‘s it.
Quick tip for old sticking drawers! Get a block of paraffin wax and rub it along the bottom edges that rub and then it will slide nearly perfectly! My dad taught me that one!
Yes, keep your Pyrex dishes. In a few years, when everyone else has chucked out their Pyrex because of the woman who has panicked people for her own profit, yours will be worth more! Your grandchildren will admire your common sense approach to this subject. Well done you. ❤ In 1976, we moved house seven days before my due date! Baby turned out fine - I think it’s a form of nesting we go through! 😂😂😂 Lovely video - I really enjoyed it. Thank you xxx
I. Need. To. Know. You! My #5 will be 1 this week so our youngest babes are close in age! We share the same name (and spelling! I've never known another Kristina), my older children were watching you clean and said "mama, that looks like YOU!" I dream of living in simplicity and all things vintage. Your channel feels like I'm watching a sort of "what could have been" or alternate reality! It's wild! I have 6 kids now as we gained my nephew last year and are raising him, too, and I homeschool but I'm just amazed at how much you are like me...just living my dream. I also havw adhd and struggle with swings of depression. I love your honesty snd transparency. ❤️
A husband that helps ???!!!!!! What ??? You are Blessed girl ❤ I just love your channel so Im watching all your videos while cleaning and trying to make my place cute like yours. 😊
It is so refreshing to see someone who is 'real' with a normal size kitchen and who doesn't start off by telling me to run out and buy storage baskets. I17.05 also have that set of Farmhouse pattern crockery and have never seen anyone else with it. They are my favourite everyday dishes - I've been using my set for more than 20 years.
I am 61...lots of family drama that wears me down so bad emotionally. Your channel is a breath of fresh air to me. I just love to immerse myself in your videos. Your kitchen is just lovely!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful life!
Floors have always been my worst thing! Even when I did clean them, the kids and dogs and man walked on them with impunity. When I didn't clean them, the family appreciated them just as much, which is to say not much at all. And one thing you can count on, for sure, is that the dirty floor will still be there for you when you get to it! =) Great work in this video!
Girl I love how real you are! I would much rather watch you and get ideas about decluttering and organization from a REAL housewife!!! Not the one that looks perfect already. I am far from perfect and its refreshing to see someone that struggles just like i do with keeping things cleaned up. I love the sassiness too!
Being over 60, married 36, and adopting 4 children, I have seen how it takes time to settle into what things we like and what works for us as individuals. I do think coffee cups multiply while we sleep. Prayers for a safe delivery and soon. So, looking forward to meeting your sweet gilt from God.
Wowee! I bet this space feels so much better now. I am really enjoying this decluttering series. I have to say, your style is so unique that seeing all the things you have and use is really delightful. Hoping you have a healthy and peaceful labor and delivery.
I can’t even!! I am looking at your house and thinking you recorded my life. Love it, all the salt in the cabinets, the mismatched dishes, the shortage of cupboards and counter space. Take it all in, because we are now empty nesters and it goes by way too fast!!
Love seeing all the 50s things - so many my mother had but they moved & sold most at garage sales so I have some 70s bowls of theirs. Didn’t know about lead in Pyrex. Love them & store things in the fridge in them as well as cooking. Luckily I don’t have a dishwasher. I think Pyrex is safe to use & practical.
From what I read, it's the paint used on the exterior that may contain lead, but I'm not storing or eating food on the outside of the dish, only the inside. Even you lick the paint, it isn't likely that you'll get lead on your tongue unless you use your teeth and scrape the paint off. Heck, I know college professors who made lead figures for war gamers professionally and none of them got lead poisoning. It's more difficult than you think.
My kitchen all the time. Without Kids, pregnancy or (diagnosed) adhd. But with a full time job, working in shifts and a passion for home cooked meals. 😂That life, love and coloured.
I am so proud of you!!! You did an amazing job! You've inspired me to do my kitchen as well. Living with 2 men (hubby and 23 year old son) plus 3 dogs, can be like living with children lol. Nothing gets put away where it belongs, crumbs everywhere etc. And as much as my son does help, it's not the same as "mom clean". So this weekend my kitchen is getting cleaned out! And thank you for not apologizing for the realistic state of things. It makes me feel like I'm not alone!!! Sending you love and I can't wait to hear about baby!!
I'm moving next week and I've been procrastinating on cleaning out my kitchen, so this gave me some much-needed inspiration. My grandma has a full strawberry-themed kitchen, and it's so lovely to see all your strawberry stuff!
Thank you for mentioning the food bank item about donating expired food. Those experiencing hardships are already going through a lot, and I personally feel the last thing that they need to deal with is having to eat weird/expired food that was donated. It's the same with donating clothes. If it has holes, stains etc then I don't donate because that's not how I would want to buy clothes for myself or family.
Where I live, subpar items aren't even offered to the public. It goes right to the landfill anyway. Therefore, when people give their garbage to charity, it just costs the charity money to have it hauled away. Not nice.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your videos, your whole channel!!! You are real with a real family, and you live like all the rest of us, and I sincerely appreciate that so much....I know that some channels that I watch make me feel really bad about myself, because they make everything seem so perfect and cute and beautiful ALL THE TIME, and my life just doesn't work that way. So, again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for being 'real' for all of us......❤❤❤
I share you experience and feelings about food bank stuff. They helped a lot when needed, but knowing what people really think of those in need can be seen in their food bank donations. It can be very demoralising. Now that I’m in a better place, I donate higher end stuff… cuz poor folks need the esteem boost.
crumbs, dirty floors, etc. sure happens to me a 74 yr old lady taking meds that make me so tired. You motivate me to keep on doing, even if it is a little at a time.
FA N T A S T I C job, Kristina! There's just something so satisfying watching it all come together in the end! (Like cheering your fav character in a movie hehe)
Oh I feel for you doing this when so heavily pregnant! I just did this two weeks ago and felt bad for all the waste. It was through the Covid supplies and through three moves- then being sick.and injured for.thenpast four years - so it accumulated. So much.expired stuff and a full bin. A good clean put and reorganisation feels good on top of being useful. Love your outlook and videos. Beautiful family too. ❤
I too freaked out about lead. I tested all my vintage stuff. Only 2 things came back positive. Paint on a corningware cutting board (which I never even used because it would damage my knives) and the paint on libbey cups. I still use those cups since I only use glass cups once or twice a month. I think I will be fine. Its good to be aware of the possibility but no need to freak out. I was so worried I was gonna have to get rid of all my vintage stuff. Another thing to note is that after 1971 the fda became much more strict on lead in dishes. A lot of vintage stuff is from after that. That green pyrex is one of them. That pattern didnt even come out until after 1971. I agree with you. While its not solid evidence, the fact that our grandparents didn't get lead poisoning seems like a good sign that the dishes they used were fairly safe to use.
Watching you throwing away those expired food reminds me of the time I decluttered my mother’s kitchen. She had a small kitchen with attached “out house” consisting of a coal bunker, toilet and a wash house. She wanted to knock down walls and make one big kitchen, unfortunately she is a hoarder and struggled to sort out her kitchen in time for the man to come and knock the walls down. Amongst food I found was powdered Parmesan that expired 10 years ago! A jar of walnuts that’s been around longer than I care to remember. It wasn’t until I moved out and lived with my husband that I slowly realised Parmesan cheese doesn’t taste of vomit, expired ones did! Walnuts tasted buttery, not bitter as the ones my mother had. What I have taken on board is that it makes sense just to buy what you would be using that week, if it’s spices, then make similar food until you’ve used it up, not to store until you next make it in 4-5 years time! I’m putting this out in case there are other food hoarders who don’t realise what they’re putting their children through by giving expired food and insist it’s okay.
Girl like 26 minutes in you showed a casserole dish, yes! Keep it! It’s a princess house dish. I have one and I bake my chicken in it and it cooks perfectly. Makes life easier specially with the kids. I got it years ago when I was hosting a princess party or else I may have not been able to afford it. They can be pricey.
This is the first video of yours I’ve watched, but thank you for showing a home that is not Pinterest perfect, very few of us live that life and it’s nice to see relatable content. Decluttering doesn’t mean minimalist, it means getting rid of what you don’t need.
The electric knife excels at cutting fresh unsliced bread as you need no pressure so don’t squash your bread. Great for roast meat and meatloaves. I have had mine for 35 years and love it.
My mom has the turquoise set that matches your yellow set. My grandma had the mixer with the white bowl. I knew right away what that bowl was from when I saw it earlier in your video.
That electric carving knife is the best! I have my grandma’s that she used every holiday and it still works like a charm and makes cutting Turkey and ham so easy. It is a power horse I hope it never dies.
It’s incredible you did this all by yourself while being heavily pregnant. I just love your taste in strawberry decor and vintage fashion, I’ve literally taken screenshots just for reference for my future home hahaha. Very satisfying to watch, you did an amazing job.
It looks great! What a task, but it feels so good when everything is organized. Once again, your authenticity shines through and I love it! The cabinet of doom made me laugh.....you did an excellent job editing that piece 😋 Can't wait to see the baby when he gets here (hoping it's sooner rather than later for your sake!) Take care ❤
We did this in our kitchen over new years it was a last minute decision I wish I had done a video for my channel. Sometimes you just get the bug and want to sort out the space! It feels so nice to get organised and the energy just always feels renewed. Good luck with your birth journey I hope you are resting and getting excited xx
Having had 8 people living in a 3 bedroom rambled before (3 generations), I get the chaos. The STUFF gets overwhelming so easily! Babies, kids, pets, it's over stimulating and you can't run after each kid with a broom or vacuum. In fact you can't even sweep or vacuum uninterrupted with kids. If you can it's usually because they are into something they shouldn't ;) . Joking aside, I hope you do have a safe delivery and that it will be sooner than later. Good job decluttering, and thank you for not donating expired food! I know someone who got sick on expired canned soup from the food pantry. I agree, it is a very demeaning experience. Thank you for being "real" and sharing!
I like your three cookie presses. I had little helpers in The kitchen. At one time i counted five apple peeler/corers/slicers, three potato mashers, and two or three of those vintage vookie presses. We had alot of fun with all that type stuff.
The plate you called a “cottage core plate” are the dishes I had growing up! My mom decorated our whole kitchen around those dishes. She even stenciled a little village of those houses above our stove and gave them store names for everyone in the family like “Joshua’s Hardware Store.” Funny how memory works. If you had asked me what dishes we had growing up a few minutes ago, I would’ve had trouble remembering. But, getting a glance of that plate made the memories roll in.
I know there's an official name for them and I cannot for the life of me remember it LOL. A few of my friends had these plates growing up! We also have a matching teapot we keep on our woodburning stove full of water to help humidify the air.
Look’n great! When you get the time, paint the inside of the cabinets a light color. (Like I said, when you get the time. Lol) It’ll help you see things better. With Love, From Indiana.
You did a great job! And of course, having 3 sets of spritz cookie presses makes sense to me. My mom had them. For three daughters sharing one set. She was married in ‘57 and they were more costly then. Mirro! I have given a set to all my nieces. We all grew up on the famous “holiday many way” recipe from Meta Givens Cookbook, for cut outs, for spritz, and more. Memories!! Your cookie making goes fast with more hands on presses. Impressed with all you got done. Girl your voice had that breathy quality of late pregnancy where it feels there’s never quite enough air. Best wishes to you all!
Oh my goodness I want that Pyrex SO BADLY!! I HAD some older pieces that were new in the early 70's when I was filling my hope chest but pieces have gotten broken in the last 50 years. But I love the old pyrex mixing/serving bowls!! The thrift stores in my area think they're made of gold so buying them is not an option🫤
I just washed all my goblets, china and some crystal. I'm unpacking my storage unit. Then your video showed up. Nice. I like your style. 'Doom shelf ' precious. Nice music choice. I'll be watching you on my breaks. I got rid of some of my pyrex and i regret it. The newer stuff is not the same
Too late now but nxt time you empty the cabinets think about painting the inside white. It will brighten your kitchen up. I have dark cabinets, i hust used white contact paper but plan to paint them eventually. Also i want to add that i love your perfectly imperfect kitchen. Mine is the same. I feel extremely inadequate when im watching a cleaning video of someone with a perfect kitchen, perfect bathroom, perfect anything. Its unrealistic for me. I don't live that kind of life, i don't have that kind of home. It makes me so happy to see your home and see that you're happy with it ❤️ (I keep editing, your orange cat looks like my grandson's orange cat Cheese. His dad was also orange and his name was Cheeto 🧡
25:41 That is a crystal wear dish from Princess House. I have the same one in two sizes. They came with serving racks because they can bake and go straight from the oven to the table, hence the rack to spare table damage. They said it can also go in the freezer then straight to the oven because Princess House tempered these casserole dishes for exactly that. It has a Christmas poinsettia design called Fantasia. I bought the whole set of that crystal glass wear with goblets, etc. from my sister who was selling it from the Princess House Multi Level Marketing pitch. This Fantasia design came out in about 2001.
How exciting so many plans and goals you guys got this and can make anything possible!!!! And there is never anything wrong with asking for help when you need it . That little rant was perfect. I know I have said this before I'll say it again youe honesty is amazing .. life with kids I agree and I love it everything turned out great.. enjoy that new baby and take the time you need !!!!! I love that hubby comes to save the day with the getting the top shelves.
I subscribed a couple years ago but only recently started watching through all your videos. I just wanted to say thank you for being so real! Your honesty and realistic portrayal of homemaking is something that is seriously lacking on this is and other platforms. It’s so refreshing and very comforting in a way to watch someone normalize normal homes. Seriously, thank you!
My parents always had an electric knife! Made its appearance at thanksgiving and Christmas lol I truly thought it was the only carving option as a child!!

Love that your home doesn’t look sterile and minimal, all while achieving the decluttering and functionality.
Very homie!
Your whole series has inspired me to push thru my current ' depressive' stage and declutter my home in hopes that it helps my mental state
Me too ❤

@@melmartinphoto Research best buy date. I don't donate it, but I eat it.

Watching again. Love decluttering
I LOVE your PYREX! The green set is my favorite ❤️
I squealed when I saw you had a new video! Ahhh!! 🥰
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you for the sweet comment!
Love the green bowls.
The electric knife excels at cutting fresh unsliced bread as you need no pressure so don’t squash your bread. Great for roast meat and meatloaves. I have had mine for 35 years and love it.
Your red cardigan is so pretty!
My mom has the turquoise set that matches your yellow set. My grandma had the mixer with the white bowl. I knew right away what that bowl was from when I saw it earlier in your video.
This is my first video of yours. You are adorable and I love your style! Congrats on the baby!
Nice to see a real kitchen and watch the decluttering and befor and after.
Are you nesting?🥰🥰🥰🥰 Your kitchen is beautiful. My favorite color is red and I love your refrigerator.
lol no, I'm far past the nesting phase, this is just a continuation of decluttering that I have been working up to for over 2 years now
You are very effective in your declutterring
Very nice sharing my friend. Full support from Motocco ❤🌹👍
What I see is a real housewife, good job Kristina.😊
Love your music choices!!! Trying to declutter too and your videos help me with the overwhelm and staying with it! Thank you, Kristina 🍓🍒
I love my Pyrex.
That electric carving knife is the best! I have my grandma’s that she used every holiday and it still works like a charm and makes cutting Turkey and ham so easy. It is a power horse I hope it never dies.
I remember my father using an electric carving knife back in the day! Memories, they are worth a tiny hoard. 😂❤
Currently decluttering my bedroom which will be be my nursery as well. I'm very excited to have no clutter entering motherhood.🥰🥰🥰 love your videoss
We did this in our kitchen over new years it was a last minute decision I wish I had done a video for my channel. Sometimes you just get the bug and want to sort out the space! It feels so nice to get organised and the energy just always feels renewed. Good luck with your birth journey I hope you are resting and getting excited xx
Thank you for the Pyrex clarification. I collect it and use it and so many people are misinformed on its safety. ❤
I am so glad I didn't get rid of my vintage pyrex. Thank you for the info!
Yeah good info :) I did get rid of my old Corelle dishes but to be fair they were so beat up, the paint was probably exposed.
You are a wonderful mum,you always have family at heart. All the work you have done amazing. Inspirational stories..

Thank you so much!
Your kitchen is adorable!
I like the mess and I love your videos. Perfect homes seems to me that are not real. ❤
I love the honesty ❤you are a beautiful woman and so real..
The "before" and "not cleaned for RUclips's sake" was very affirming to see. Thank you!
The coconut oil jar with the spoon in it so relatable
We use an electric carving knife for thanksgiving from the 60s every year!!! still works. I'm 33 and we have used that thing my entire life.
Bonsoir Kristina, You did a fantastic job.
Can we talk about how cute that red sweater and apron outfit is. I don’t know how you do it. ❤
I just washed all my goblets, china and some crystal. I'm unpacking my storage unit. Then your video showed up. Nice. I like your style. 'Doom shelf ' precious. Nice music choice. I'll be watching you on my breaks. I got rid of some of my pyrex and i regret it. The newer stuff is not the same
You did a great job! Your kitchen looks clean and inviting, and so many possibilities in the future!
What a huge task, great job Kristina!! I hope you all are doing well! God bless you and the baby, may you have a safe and healthy delivery!
Impressive transformation for anyone even if not late term in pregnancy! Enjoyable to witness!
You inspire me. And you have a beautiful home.
I don't care that your floors are dirty. I enjoyed the video❤❤
We have an electric carving knife that I think my grandma gave us. We use it all the time when we host holidays. 😊
I'm definitely gonna pull it out come the holidays! Haha! It's so fun!
Use the snowflake pattern for winter display. Don’t get rid of it! Very expensive and hard to find!
I’m amazed at what you got done, especially 8 months pregnant!!
I've been spending time with you all day 😂 I'm amazed at your energy and how fast you work. Wish you lived next door! 💋
You must be exhausted ❤❤❤. Maybe this B is the “big energy ones gets before labour “. 💐❤️❤️❤️
I love the realism and I totally relate. :)
My parents always had an electric knife! Made its appearance at thanksgiving and Christmas lol I truly thought it was the only carving option as a child!!
