Chapter 48 of Kitāb Al-Tawhīd goes in more detail on this topic Bārak'Allāhu Fīkum. Claiming Entitlement of a Bounty, that it was not from Allāh but independently from the individual. This is Major Shirk and Disbelief.
How true is this! Hadith Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone, (but) cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter) and seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don't say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your" if" opens the (gate) for the Satan. Sahih Muslim, 2664
So if someone praise Allah first and foremost but then say these statements knowing that the good pilot or the good driver (for examples) are just means that Allah used to protect him then would it be considered as Shirk? Please answer, BarakAllahu feekum.
I understand what the Sheikh is saying, but shouldn't one take proactive measure to make sure they purchase a car with good safety measures/sensors? Or shouldn't you make sure you have a good ship captain who is experienced? After taking your precautions then having Tawakkul in Allah SWT.
Yes one should take the means, but they should attribute their success first and foremost before anyone else to Allah سبحانه وتعالى In the video, Sheikh حفظه الله, is not talking about the means, but the way people react when they achieve a success or survive a calamity
Subhan'Allah, may Allah protect us from this
May Allah make us careful with our tounges
Allahumma Ameen ❤
Very similar to what Qarun said "My wealth is due to my science".
Jazakallah Khair ❤
أسأل الله العافية
