My heart is always strengthened by this Ayah Quran 39:53 (Az-Zumar) "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves by sinning, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." And the way to His ﷻ Mercy is through repentance and good deeds bi ithnillah.
a person should not despair from ALLAH's mercy. --- a person believes that ALLAH will not forgive him. so he stops doing good deeds. and. a person should not believe that he is safe from ALLAH's plot. --- for example a person might believe that "I will not be punished, so i don't need to do any good deeds".

Being Despair from mercy of Allah & Feel Safe n oneself saved from hell fire because of his good deeds
