  • In this video, I continue my lesson on drawing fundamentals for how to measure and get the proportions of your drawings right, and how I translate these from 2D to 3D surfaces. Keep in mind this is only my way of doing things if you find a better way feel free to use that.

      Awesome to hear in very glad you found value in this series. I might have to dig out my tech pencil as well I don't think I used it since I started uni.

      Robert Laszlo Kiss hahaha, I still have all my tech drawing compasses and protractors from when I was in high school.....real hard to throw out the stuff that I loved back in the day. 😉

    WoW *_* you re just amazing! that you for explaining everything sep by step. I managed to follow you until "10.24". Is it possible to explain in an easier way "how can we be sure to put the handle correctly onto something? " even if you could just use more simple shapes like in the previous video. for example a cone actually on a table, or a cup from which coffee went out and splitted on the table... or, more objects on the same plane that are not rectangles thank you.

    I hope to see more tutorials about how to draw an object in different perspective, I don't know how to draw it in different angles :(

      How is your perspective understanding? Having a good grasp on perspective is the 1st important step towards being able to drawing objects from different angles.

      @@robertlkiss I'm a newbie and I'm learning perspective. For example I can draw an object or a room from front view but don't know how to draw them look the same from different views like side, bottom, top. Hope to see more tutorials with guides about how to draw them in different angles

    i'd like to ask how do i compare two (or three) different lengths running different axes? for example if i draw a square plane or cube warped by perspective how do i determine that all the sides are actually equal, aside from intuition

    • @robertlkiss
      @robertlkiss  Год назад

      That is a question that I was always afraid people would ask. Sadly I do not know. This is one of those things that throughout the years of drawing horribly distorted objects I slowly started developing a feeling for(intuition as you say). And I can't explain exactly, it is about transferring proportions. I will ask some of the drawing teachers I know so next time I can give a better explanation.

    would be cool to get explained how to develop different designs of an existing product-shape or certain design-styles...........

      Most of the time it's doing shape studies. Just trying to apply different shapes to an existing product. THat can spike some new ideas.

    But what if you really need to drink a cappuccino while you're trying to draw the foamer?
