      Josue, your Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test scores, physical exam, citizenship and moral standards determine your job/career qualifications.
      You may view our career fields the Air Force has to offer. Each page will provide a career description, if it is an Enlisted, Officer or Health Professions and career requirements: www.airforce.com/careers

      Good morning. The ASVAB is broken down into four main categories (Mechanical, Administrative, General, and Electronic), and all enlisted career fields have a minimum score requirement that fall under one or more of these categories. The score varies by each career field.

      if you have over 45 credits, you can be an E3 after tech school.
      the same as an enlisted person with a degree.
      people with degrees can also become officers if they are accepted to Officer training school. that is a higher rank than every enlisted person, even the enlisted members who serve the whole 20 years

      RaQuel, Advanced rank can be earned through many different channels for your accomplishments prior to entering the Air Force.
      JROTC
      2yr cert of completion = E-2
      3yr cert of completion = E-3
      College ROTC
      2yr completion letter = E-2
      College Credits (Qualifying)
      20 semester or 30 quarter hours = E-2
      45 semester or higher or 67 higher quarter hours = E-3
      Civil Air Patrol
      Billy Mitchell, Amelia Earhart, or Carl Spaatz award = E-3
      Boy or Girl Scouts
      Eagle Scout or Gold Award = E-2
      Or you can earn E-3 after 20 weeks of training for a 6 Year, Active duty commitment.

    what kinds of qualifications do you need for cyber? any certifications before you join?

  • @jocarr916
    @jocarr916 Месяц назад

    What are some things that could disqualify you from pursuing cyber? Does it matter if your parents aren’t from the USA? Does their residency status matter?

    • @USAirForceRecruiting
      @USAirForceRecruiting  Месяц назад

      @jocarr916 TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST:
      For Space Force you must be a US citizen; for non US citizens must have a valid unrestricted alien registration card from the USCIS with at least 6 months or more remaining before expiration. (You must obtain this status on your own, the Air Force cannot assist you with obtaining it) and you must speak, read and write English fluently to apply. You must live in the United States to apply
      You cannot be a Conscientious Objector. A conscientious objector is an individual who has claimed the right to refuse to perform military service on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience, or religion.
      Any Law Violations will need to be evaluated
      Any use of illegal drugs or misuse of prescription medication will need to be evaluated
      You will also have a credit check run looking for delinquencies and overbalanced credit.
      Be at least age 17 and must be in basic training before age 42. If age 17 you will need parental consent
      Be in good health and any medical issues will need to be evaluated. Air Force applicants are encouraged to meet height and weight requirements before contacting a recruiter, however you may still contact an Air Force Recruiter for information. Applicants are considered on a best-to-least qualified basis.
      Height and weight chart; (you will need to select the "Height and Weight" tab on the right hand side of the paragraph to see the actual chart): www.airforce.com/how-to-join/prepare-for-success/meet-requirements
      Education: Be a high school graduate, at least a junior or senior for enlisted program. If you do not have a high school diploma or GED applicants must score at least a 65 or higher on the ASVAB and meet all other requirements. College Grad or college senior for Officer Programs (must be US citizen to apply to be an officer).
      An Air Force Recruiter will determine if a Dependency Eligibility Determination (DED) is required.
      You will need to have a Social Security Card
      Your parents have nothing to do with your qualifications. Your Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test scores, physical exam, citizenship and moral standards determine your job/career qualifications.
      Your first step is to contact a recruiter. What is your age, citizenship status, highest level of education completed, and zip code? If you prefer, you may private message us on Facebook.
