Every Wii Cup, 2 people get eliminated. Every Retro, 1 person. I am the host of the room and my goal is to be the last one standing. The subscribers try to knock me out. If they do so, the remaining subscribers win! Every KO tourney will have a different theme.
This tournament was made up of Twitch subscribers and RUclips members! (The "Join" button next to Subscribe)

Hello Troy. I'm a Mario Kart Wii fan from South Korea. I still love your video and wow, your contents do improved A LOT!! Congratulations!!!😁
I managed to dug out my forgotten Nintendo Wii console(not Wii U), cleaned it up, changed remote batteries, reconnected to TV, and somehow make it run.
Even though Wii remote had a dead AA batteries for almost 10 years(Yeah, seriously. It had been forgotten for THAT long...😅), the remote managed to operate, surprisingly. I thought because of liquid came out of old batteries, the remote will refuse to do so.
Although it runs, it seems controler has response time issue. I couldn't find exact reason for just test running it. Perhaps that 10-year-old dead batteries have damaged something inside, and hampered its' performance.
Also, as the TV has changed since I first started Nintendo Wii, it became really tricky to place sensor bar and adjust the position.
At least two things have to be done I can figure out.
First, getting a new Wii remote because of may-have-been-massive damage by old battery.
Second, handling a sensor bar position either getting a battery-operating type, or some sort of an adaptor.
I really enjoyed playing Mario Kart Wii, and it's been almost 10 years ago. It would be a super-great honor playing with you at CTGP. Although I'm still fighting fixing my old Wii console.
I have no idea whether CTGP will work on Korean Wii console or not. If it works, and issues are handled, I would be very happy.

I’m so glad you’ve gotten back into Mario kart. It’s an amazing game and somehow has managed to stay fresh and interesting since 2008. Good luck with the remote and sensor and I hope all goes smoothly!

32:33; I wanted to put the math to the test on point distribution in this game. So here are the guaranteed numbers to move on in each cup of a KO Tournament. Mushroom:22, Shell: 20, Flower:18, Banana:20, Star:18, Leaf:26, Lightning:32, Special:44. Note: You CAN move on with a number lower than these.
So technically, The Flower and Star Cups are the cups needing the least points to move on.

You should do a room/KO where anyone can use all vehicles except Flame Runner, Mach Bike and Bullet Bike. Gets some use out of the good but not great vehicles (Sneakster, Spear, Dolphin Dasher, Magikrusier, Jet Bubble, Wild Wing)

it has near perfect offroad so its really fun to drive on offroad heavy tracks

The Magikruiser is basically Flame Runner Jr. The two bikes drift very similar to one another. Basically trades speed to make it less punishing to mess up.

Being someone who has been maining the shooting star on an alt for fun, i'd highly suggest it for the next tournament! It's a very viable outside drifting bike and makes good fun for clearing shortcuts with.

You can tell that you have just been on time trial because when you have been on time trial their is a glitch that all of the players heads go rlly big , but my bad if u hadn't , btw I have gotten so much better at Mario kart just by watching your videos , you inspire me to play loads more Mario kart, I only need to get three more characters but because I got my wii last year I cannot get internet on it so I can't play online , If you have got any tips to try and go online that would be great , once again your my inspiration , keep doing what your doing, and great video

as an 8000vr magik main, i am thoroughly impressed with your lines on some tracks (key word SOME)
BTW always use toadette, she makes some cuts faster than the normal route, that otherwise wouldn't be
I don't know how anyone could main magikruiser. Big respect. I've put 1000s of hours into this game and i played more magikruiser in this ko than I have any other time combined and I completely forgot about the acceleration and offroad.
@@goopy79 well, i really shouldn't say im a magikruiser main, i just play it a lot. the vehicle i probably have the most playtime online with is minibeast, but i also play flame runner when im not doing particularly well. I've just always found much more enjoyment in playing the lower-tier vehicles

Hey Troy, there's an advice for the 2nd waterfall in Hoshi falls: when othe water, try to drift the other way so that you don't fall and don't get the unneeded air in the end of it.

6:32 it was actually theoretically possible for Chad to get eliminated (albeit extremely moot, since he'd have to be last in Toad's Factory while the 11th-6th are the top 6 in that exact order) so technically he wasn't 100% safe lol
dry bones has been my favorite since i was 5, and him and the magikruiser was my go-to combo hahah. i still use dry bones but i stopped using the magikruiser once i discovered how great the bullet bike was lol
