Yeah I noticed that too. It's probably because with the live performances it's just that-- live performances. But with most of the score videos, as put out by this channel and Bartje Bartmans (those two provide the best score videos and between the two of them cover most of what you would look for), they don't use the audio of a live performance. They choose a famous recording as the audio. As you know, with recordings, they are looking to make it perfect in every sense, and can spend weeks on one movement, before worrying about the next movement. Also, with different mics and an audio engineer, they can tamper with the sound and balance following the recording. As for this symphony, Ricardo Muti may have made the best recording to date, though many praise Karajan's.
I used to be a fan of Muti's Tchaikovsky cycle, but I didn't listen to his First for a long, long time. Hearing it again after so many years and after having listened to countless other modern renditions, it feels oddly stilted and held back. There's a definite lack of flow.
It's not the creator's fault that the ads are where they are in the videos. RUclips puts them where they are. Don't blame content creators for RUclips's wrongs.
Criminally underplayed
One of my favourite symphonies of all time!

Sometimes this horn passage 19:14 keeps me up at night
I've never heard this before but we're performing this in orchestra and looking at the score really helps.
Putting ads in the middle of a Symphony is one of the greatest sins of humanity.
Such a painstaking error and sin. And at the worst possible moments as well, the most intimate moments or moments of energy
Especially when you’re playing along with it and it happens in the middle of a 31 bar rest
The poster did not add the ads…RUclips did. If you subscribe, you won’t get ads.
@@LyleFrancisDelp ... or when you use a decent ad blocker. I have no issues.
Ads are annoying, but stop being so snobbish please

Chills.
Very good. I've noticed some of these music/full scores videos have better performances of works than do just live video performances without scores.

The beginning of the second movement reminds me of the second mov. of Shostakovich's piano concerto no. 2.

Orchestral balance could have been better in places: sometimes the horns could hardly be heard at times when they should play an important part.
His first, but surely not his best symphony.
