Kayla Troutman because people would try to be their best selves on camera. And why is David yelling at a child that isn’t his? You can talk to the child and explain why they don’t bring toys in the kitchen. But she literally jumps on David’s side and doesn’t defend her own son? No that’s ridiculous. I believe things are worse OFF camera.
I hate to say this but from what I've observed on Teen Mom (Again, teen Mom is only a tiny fraction of their life & isn't necessarily reality as it is edited & people are on their best behavior because it's on camera for the whole world to see) it seems that David interacts and takes care of Kaiser way more than Janelle)

I don't care if he's a kid, that kid Kaiser's an asshole. Every time he's shown on camera he's throwing a huge temper tantrum or touching something he's not supposed to. I understand deep down that it's really not his fault because he doesn't know better, but that kid just gets under my skin. To make matters worse he looks exactly like Nathan who I seriously cannot stand. Wish his real father would get custody so we wouldn't have to see him as much.

Karina mendoza Back when the show first started, Janelle gave custody of Jace over to Barbara until she got her life together. She was supposed to get custody back from Barbara because it was temporary but after all of the things Janelle did, she became Jace's permanent guardian.

Jenelle has definitely changed her life for the better but I still feel like she has no idea on how to raise children. Watching one of the teen mom 2 episodes Kaiser was throwing a tantrum in the car and she had to call David to discipline him like girlllll that's your job. Having kids ain't just about taking cute instagram pics and vacations. It gets so annoying how much she complains about taking care of her kids especially Kaiser.

Jenelle has never raised a child on her own. Go back as many seasons as you want but in any clip where there's a kid around she passes off the baby to whatever boyfriend she has. She doesn't want to be one on one with any of her children when they get upset.
What also bothers me is that she never seems to acknowledge Maryssa. Not once have we seen a clip where she atleast talks to Maryssa. As a stepmom, I think trying to bond with your partner's kids is super important. Perfect examples: Taylor to Bentley, Javi to Isaac, Kristina to Leah, and Cole to Aubree

Well to me Jace is with his mother on Mother's Day, Barbara. She's been more of a mother to Jace than Janelle has ever been. If Jenelle were truly a "mother" she would invite Barbs over with Jace because of what Barbs has done for Jenelle raising Jace when she didn't have to. First of all the whole reason why Jenelle doesn't have custody is because as soon as she gave birth to Jace she would leave Jace with her mother & she would go out going out to clubs, partying with friends, doing drugs, having multiple guys around etc. I understand that people want to give her the benefit of the doubt but COME ON. She's the one who fucked up in the first place. In a episode of 16 & pregnant her friend said "yeah I have a friend who doesn't even take care of her kid she would go out and party" Jenelle said "oh no I'm not going to do that to my baby I'm going to be responsible and stay home with my kid" yet she did the complete opposite. I was pregnant at 16. I cut off all my friends, I didn't go out , I didn't have guys coming in and out I was focused on my daughter. (Just incase if someone saids "well she was 16 . She was young. She didn't know what she was doing")

What she doesn’t realize is she should be buying her mom flowers for being a mother to her child. Her mother raised Jace while Janelle was out partying, doing drugs, and choosing her boyfriends over her own child. She doesn’t give her mother enough credit. There was one episode where Janelle went over to “babysit” her own child and wanted to leave to hang out with friends instead. I find it hard to believe she loves her kiddos that much. To me she seems kind of cold toward Jace and the rest of her kids.
I think her mom knows she puts boyfriends before Jace and is just trying to protect Jace.

It's crazy that their thought process for not having jace is because they think her mom is scared. They don't have jace because they aren't mature and civil about things and she's scared jace will get hurt or emotionally scarred. They need anger management. That should have been court appointed.

Barbara is the only mother Jace has. It’s sad. But she took on the responsibility of raising a child bc her teen daughter still wanted to go & do as she pleased. Jenelle is a “birth mother” to Jace. That’s it.
