I have a few suggestions:
-Put a bunch of the smaller kits in a storage room if there's too many
-Install a middle shelf so you can place those smaller kits without them falling over.
-You can use the extra space you have in the other row to put a bunch of those smaller kits.
-Build a new shelf entirely, like the one you mentioned earlier in the video that you planned on doing but can't due to lockdown, and designate that one to smaller kits.
-A combination of the suggestions.
I currently have access to two local Gunpla shops where I can get everything I need, one being five minutes from my home. So I haven't found it necessary to order from you folks in a while. I do want to say however, when I was starting out in this hobby Canadian Gundam was a fantastic source for kits with excellent pricing including shipping rates and top rate customer service. Thank you for all of your efforts. It was always a pleasure dealing with you . Be safe and all the best!
Awesome feedback!! Thank you!
I really like the idea of this, especially because you're showing people that their orders are actually being shipped. Keep it up!
Thank you for your feedback!
Ayye nice to see my order show up XD, thanks a bunch you guys! Looking forward to my order coming in!
Awesome!!!
Your inventory is getting larger comparing to your first few videos! Glad business is well even during tough time
As long there are people who wants to spend their money to buy gunplas.
It’s thanks to you and the gunpla community that we able to grow this big & we are definitely still growing!
I also sell gundam kits , but not on this scale. and gunpla sales was high during the pandemic , even the prices are raised quite high there are still many people want to buy. sales pretty much slowed down in late 2020 and became quite became a little active again due to The witch from mercury kits and the strike freedom MGEX kit.
-Put your leftover pallets/skids on the floor under your kits to keep them off the floor. That will definitely help save the bottom ones from water damage if the shop floods when it really rains or the snow melts.
-Organize by scale (RG at the end of SD or HG) /century/number in line
-If you're having issues stacking SD/Haro because low stock/demand, place them on a middle shelf and isle on one side waist to shoulder level (your own) and stack them sideways with thin, slick plastic sheets (not saran wrap) between each layer so it's harder to disturb the other layers when you pull a kit. Basically stack your layers like a lasagne where your lasagne noodle is the slippery plastic sheet. If you have deep shelves display half youir stock in front and the other half directly behind, push/pull the other half halfway forward to restabilize the layer on the sides once the first half of a kit is exhausted.
I haven't seen any of your videos but a waist high cart might be useful for transporting boxes and picking for orders. A tablet would be good for picking multiple orders at once with a cart so there's less back and forth/ yelling/memorization.
Definitely things to think about 🤔 thank you so much for your input!
Great video! I love how you've oraganize the HGUC kits by number and put the overstock at the upper part of shelves. As a result you're able to clear the pathway and make space for other kits.
Here are some of my suggestions (again if you don't mind):
1. You mentioned on building another shelf on the corner of the warehouse. Build that shelf with partition so that SD kits won't fall off.
2. Once you clear the SD kits off the middle shelves, place some of the MG kits there and if possible don't overstack like the MG barbatos.
3. A kind reminder to use pallets to keep the kits off the ground. Same goes also for the P-Bandai kits in the reception area.
You're doing great. Keep it up and good luck with your business.
Awesome and thank you so much for the suggestions!!
1. Keep the kits in the cardboard boxes that they're shipped in and stack those cardboard boxes on top of each other.
2. I remember the horizontal shelving I saw in videos of the old location. Have something like that to store the kits like books.
Yeah I think I might have to go to the old system just trying to figure out the best way!
cant wait fir the core docking
👍
Ordered a MG Barbatos, can’t wait for it
Awesome thank you for the support!!
From my warehouse experience, the metal rack liners are superior to plain ol' plywood because wow! does the plywood attract dust! Can't have dusty shelves, ugh. I worked in a warehouse where product dimensions were measured in receiving and the system would assign the product to the right size stock location.
We don’t really don’t have a dust problem. Hopefully soon we will be upgrading to metal shelving the wood is just temporary.
There is two things I suggest. Number #1 install small shelves in between the large shelfs or add sliders on the shelves then you wont have to stack them so high. Number #2 you should really put your MGs in series. AKA Seed,00,IBO,ect then they will be easier to find. Obviously HGs and SDs are easier to find because they are numbered.
Awesome thank you for the suggestions!
@@CanadianGundam you're welcome.
Maybe have sturdy adjustable dividers? Like vertical shelves to accommodate the size of the box, to keep them from leaning
Definitely need something!
Whoo hoo! Can't wait to get my order (Mark from Vancouver). Thanks Pat & Amy!
Awesome!!!!!
To keep those master grades off the ground, use the plastic pallets has a base. Check the measurements to see if they sit flush with the racking. Speaking of racking, you can adjust the green bars above the master grades to give you more space. Beware! Crazy heavy and sometimes hard to remove.
Awesome! Thanks again for your advice!
You’re leaning tower of small kits solution is simple. Since you have a ton of left over cardboard boxes just resize them to the same width as the small kits into a tall vertical open face box. I see in the middle of the video you already have some long boxes you can start with...
🤔 Interesting idea!
tips here have the kits by grade and series
cool video patrick! BIG fan of you & amy haha! im gonna request to ship my private warehouse soon.. thanks & stay safe
Awesome!
Gundam heaven. WOW!!!!!!
It’s is!
for the little kits, maybe put them on their sides and put a little shelf on the big shelf to create multiple rows of them stacked on their sides? then maybe they won't deform the tower of them or topple over
nice got mentioned in this video xD
Definitely something like this we will probably have to do! Once you stack kit about 8 to 10 it’s wobbling all over the place!
For the little kits cut the top off the shipping box and place it on the shelf with the top facing out
🤔
Thanks again for another video! Keep up the good work!
Awesome and thank you for watching!
@@CanadianGundam PS, forgot to request to be in the vid when I bought my 3x Action Base 1s. Next time!
Have you thought about building a lazy Susan style shelf? Imagine a couple three foot tall bookshelves back to back on a rotating base.
Interesting thank you for the suggestion!
Whoa I didnt know you could use private warehouse like that! Last second additions
👍👍
finally,.... amy
OMG you have the Zaku The Ground War Set! I just sent an order for it :O haha
Awesome!!
Perhaps some kind of adjustable sliding vertical partition system to hold stacked kits of any size in place? 🤷♂️ Know a good carpenter who works for cheap? 😉
That would probably work. We will probably end up doing something like this! Thanks again for your suggestion!
@@CanadianGundam Hope it works out. You guys are great! 😎👍
Working here would be a dream
It’s is!
So wait from what I hear around 5:25 to 5:31 in the video, it sounded like you said people could trade in or sell kits, is that something you guys do?
Tea and sharp knives around cardboard boxes!!
Do you ever walk around after picking up an order and just inexplicably walk into something that dents or dings the box? Hate that.
It does happen sometimes! With the little kits, the stacks something topples, I don’t realize, and step on something that’s on the ground... thats the worst!
Just googled that Star Build Strike at 20:41. Just added to potential future purchases, after I build my RG Nu Gundam and MG Seven Swords. 😅
👍
Great video, like behind the scenes stuff. For the little kits, maybe keep them in the box and few on top to know what the boxes are. Few questions, what private warehouse mean never heard the term? What happen to the Dragonball statue? Why Gundam and why not actual store?
Thank you for your feedback!
The private warehouse is just another way to say that you have your own little spot here where you can stash away kits and then have them shipped at a later date.
The Dragon ball Z Vegeta statue is still at the old location we will probably make a video when we finally move it it weighs about 150 kg!
The reason why we started a gundam shop at the time was because I wanted a few Gundams and literally cannot find them anywhere locally (Canada) and then realized if no one’s doing it... maybe I should! And then the rest is history 😁
Because your vedios I start to play Gundam again. I just bought an unicorn last week.
I like your vedios
Awesome!
Try to install some upright wood between some of those small kits, or even some plexi glass or corrugated plastic.
Thanks for the suggestion!
If I ever move to Canada from NYC I know where I’m going for a job but by than you’ll probably have a 36k ft warehouse lol
👍👍
Imagine if u make a air paint area for rent out like those pc cafe for those ppl don’t have space to paint XD
Plan is to do something like that, but rent it for free!
Buster gundam!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Would you ever consider making loot/surprise boxes?
Maybe, something to look into!
@@CanadianGundam a Christmas time mystery surprise advent calendar of kits would be really cool.
pls get more Lightning Back Weapon System
We will be getting lots more soon, On each product page there’s a notification by email button use that to be notified right away when it’s restocked!
Do you also provide the 30 Minutes Mission model kit from Bandai?
Yes we do!
Do you offer any type of starter kit
(Nippers files brushes Mats) etc. I’m looking at getting into building models but I’m not sure what tools I need to start with. any help would be appreciated.
We don’t currently offer one maybe something we would put together in the future!

I love watching this man. However, I have a suggestion, why don't you change your channel name to Canadian Gunpla or Canadian Gundam? because it's hard for me to find 'The Gundam Shop' since it has a lot of other recommendations. I searched for Canadian Gunpla always just to watch your video again and now I definitely going to sub to you.
Thank you for the suggestion! We will probably change the name to something easier, not sure what yet.
The first thing I skip around the video is wing zero giving me the bird.
😂😂
Do you guys ship to the US?
Yes we do!
That door was installed wrong. It should open in, not out.
What exactly is private warehouse?
Private warehouse is a way that you can purchase items and not have them shipped until you’re ready. so let’s say for instance you place an order and private warehouse it and place another one a week later and private warehouse it and then another week later another private warehouse order and then decide to ship all of them you’ll only have to pay for one shipping fee or if it’s over $300 we would ship it out to you for free!
Hope this makes sense.
@@CanadianGundam Thank you so much for the reply! 1 last question. Do I pay for all the items at once before shipping or 1 item at a time as I place them into private warehouse?
i would like to order gundam marsfour veetwo mercuone saturnix and nepteight weapon
👍
you have no gundam build fighters build custom booster's
We Will be getting more a lot more so not to worry!
Looks like you need some more help, You have lots of space to put stuff on the shelves in the rear.
For now... I think we need to get more shelving. We have even more Gunpla on it way here with no spot yet!
Can I work here
Not hiring right now but maybe in the future!
