Nice easy heads up on how to change springs. I done fronts on my son's yesterday 👍🏻 gotta do rears this morning. He's well impressed with new ride height. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻
Very good guide. I'm gonna install the same springs as you, Eibach 30-35mm, on my Ford Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost mk7.5. So this guide really helps. Thanks mate :)
Got the pro kit myself, drop is a bit misleading though [ manufacturers drop claim not yours ]as the pro kit also fits diesel models, drops the diesels 30-35 and the ST 20-25mm as it already has ford sports springs that are around 10mm lower than stock, nice work
Might sit couple mm lower after a drive. But looks great mate! If you're making it into a track car then you might want to watch spark plug steve who lowered his with Mountune springs but found it took his roll centre well out of ideal setup and actually made the handling worse.
Great video. Just one quick comment. You really should undo nuts from bolts, so the 18mm(?) nuts on the strut clamp should come off then knock the bolts out. That way you don't have to use a socket extension either which will make it less likely to damage the head of the bolt by falling off it.
Awesome, this is one thing I’m not sure if I could do myself in the driveway! Have you ever installed Autobeam ambient indicator rings? I know you did fog lights with indicator function. My indicator rings work when car is off but when engine is on they don’t light up orange for some reason, even Autobeam don’t know why, and I can’t see that anyone in the world has had this problem before :(
I'm really not sure but DM me and I will do my best to help. Haven't worked with the rings before but done alot of Autobeam products so might have an idea
Car Rambles the indicators are wired the same way, 2 yellow wires using scotch lock clip into the indicator wire on both headlights. Both work when you press hazards or if you press ignition button and then do left or right. It’s only when the engine is actually on they just no longer work, it’s baffling :( I should say they have a side light mode, and that DOES work with engine on or not. And of course the hundreds of RGB settings all work from the app. Only the indicators :( all I can think is something is somehow interfering with them when turned on, but it’s only 2 yellow wires, 1 white (for the side light connection) and connected to the battery for power
xMeRk I had this problem also but I got it to work properly by changing the where you connect the wires, the indicators work in several of the ford wiring connections.Disconnect where you have the indicator wires and try them in one of the other connections, just push the wire in at the top and they should light up Hope that’s not confusing but what I’m saying is disconnect where you have them wired up now and try the other connections,Hope this helps
Hi Car Rambles, I have heard that fitting lowering springs hurts the handling/dynamics of the ST - I heard that Spark Plug Steve covered this in a video, I believe he mentioned that the factory STs body roll helps with cornering. Did you notice any handling cons after fitting the lowering springs?
No cons whatsoever with normal driving. My car was for the road and spirited b road driving. Spark plug Steve is fantastic though when it comes to his journey learning and developing a track car. If you drive like your on a track everyday then listen to spark plug Steve's advice as he's alot more knowledgeable when it comes to track, if you just want a cleaner looking car with no difference in normal or spirited driving on roads, then decide what suits you best.
I replaced the original shocks wt bilstein B4. Mech put these eibach on. I dont think they match wt original shocks. Screwed up the handling. Sent car back and got the mech to put back the original springs. Back to good handling.
Absolutely fine, only then I have to worry about is parking straight into a bay and the splitter on the front against a kerb. Otherwise never had an issue
@@zaynonfire mate it's so hard I feel you. Everyone here is so hungry for content it's almost impossible to save up for the turbo as I need to bring content for everyone Let's just huge it out and both drool over those csr alloys as they are amazing
@@CarRambles Ah that's good mate. I had a very slight rub. I never actually felt or heard it.I only noticed because the paint had worn on the inside of arches and the plastic liners had scrub marks. I am running 8 inch rims at 35 ET tho.
Might be worth contacting a few companies and seeing what's the best deal they will do. Not sure of any particular deals currently going. These were a gift from a friend which I'm extremely thankful for. Contact Ross at laird performance, tell him car rambles sent you and you want some springs lol. You never know??? Aha.
I personally hate stance cars.... I will never ever go lower than what I've gone now. It's just stupid lol. If the driveability has changed or it isn't practical for a daily I'll change back :)
I appreciate you taking your time and explaining your steps. Most videos of suspensions are mostly music with minimal instructions.
Glad I can help :)

Does 35mm go on back or front?
That thing you disconnected second is the anti roll/ swaybar drop link👌
Good job on this. Looks way better now
Looks good buddy mine was a right nightmare but got it all done in the end.Glad your going ford fair hopefully see you there 🔥👍🔥🤙🔥👍
Will be wicked to meet you!
Nice job. 👍🏼 I'm getting the Lowline kit fitted tomorrow. Can't wait 😀😀
Awesome, I love how it looks now and to be honest I'm legit feeling the nose of the car a little bit more pointy.......
Nice to see more fiesta owners doing stuff themselves :)
Thank you I think aha 🤔

So the Eibach are the exact same as the Mountune then. Just they give different base values? I did assume this as they make the Mountune ones

We are a long way off a track car so got these for a bit :) can always change
“I mean like proper track car”😂
Aha, bucket seats, stripped out, forged engine, racing coilovers strut bars, racing brakes.
That's the long term goal, so proper track car aha

Those spring compressors give me the ultimate fear 😂😂😂
Scott Hastings ken that boys got some balls holing his finger in the springs like haha
Balls of steel
You did well mate,good job.
Thank you mate, never done something like that before so hopefully it helps someone? Got tracking on Wednesday and new tyres also :D
Loving the content!
Thank you! Means so much to hear comments like this
Very nice car, and great look! thats a fairly aggresive drop for eibachs!
Nice video! Fitted mine yesterday nice drop 👌.
thanks for the vid boss!! much help!
You removed the drop links, that connects to the horizontal sway bar, that’s correct.
Just letting you know bro if your british, that "sway bar" is called a droplink

philmufc1 I will give that a go mate cheers! So they work with engine off in multiple wires but only 1 when engine is on? Hopefully this will sort it
xMeRk when your testing the other connections make sure you have the engine running then if they light up that’s the right connection

A question mate: you can modify whatever you want and there is no problem about insurance? Tks👍🏼
No. Any mod, you have to tell your insurance.
It will go lower give it a few days mate I scrape all time hahhaha
It better not go much lower lol
It will settle but maybe not too much. 30mm fromt 35mm rear is a good set up. Spme people run 50mm drop which is frankly ridiculous.
Great vid. Thanks. 👍🏻 Subscribed.
Thank you for viewing, and especially thank you for the sub. Means alot!
Did the top 3 strut bolts need torquing down? Got some whiteline springs to install next week
I'm sure they are supposed to but I done them as tight as they felt coming off aha. Rough engineering ;)
How has the car got on against speed bumps and kerbs? Looking to do this to my bmw but worried parking will be a pain in the arse 😂

Yeah bought it from Trc, video is on my channel, very deep down as it's old and bad quality aha. Might be worth a watch though :) covers everything

A little more squatted but no huge difference
good luck when the springs settle, it will be touching the floor then 😂

Any rub on the fronts when turning over bumps?
None so far.... but haven't driven much as waiting for new tyres and tracking to be done!

Barely. I don't fully believe this spring settling thing. Maybe a mm or two.
Great vid However did you not need to adjust the tracking on your car after or is it as easy as changing the springs
I would highly recommend getting it tracked once you've messed around with suspension and this applies to anything and everything
Car Rambles hey what do you mean getting it tracked and where can this be done?
@@JamaIBrowner at a garage. Make your car drive in a straight line
