    I like this method of demonstrating the
    Artistry of crochet. The work is clear to the eye, not too fast or slow and the instructions are written below. All that is needed for an individual would be a small recording devise to coordinate with this video. This crochet work is absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing.

    A lil tip... When you have to do the double crochet again (row 1) put 3 dc in the 4ch sp. nd 2 in the trc. Lol had to take it out three times to figure it out. Or just count, I guess the 151 stitches.

    I am making this as a gift for my great niece due in November & I loved the pattern. Once you get the hang of it it's just repetition but its never boring. I truly enjoy it and thank you for sharing your pattern. I am not normally a diagram person but with this pattern it has helped me so much! Thanks💜

    ADVICE.. to anyone thinking of doing this video make sure you know what you are doing and really watch the video very carefully. RUclips has a settings button on the video that can slow down the speed if its to fast for you. I found this very difficult and had to undo my blanket a lot but i think i finally figured it out!!! lol. I am new to reading patterns and this was very confusing to me but im glad i took the time because now im understanding how to read patterns!! Make sure that at each end of a row you know what you are doing and make sure you are counting right!! Thanks for the video.. this blanket is beautiful!

    • @Catherineslove
      @Catherineslove 6 лет назад +10

      Also, At the end of row five: 3 ch, skip 1 sc, 2 trc cluster into next sc.. then turn your work and start from row 1 again.,.. (this means to chain three then skip one single crochet and do two triple clusters into the next single crochet. )

    • @Catherineslove

      At the end of ROW TWO if you look at her video she crochets seven double crochets. You won't have enough room to do 13 double chrochets so don't get worried when you come to the end of row two.. it continues like that throughout the whole blanket ;)

    • @Catherineslove
      @Catherineslove 5 лет назад +5

      End of ROW THREE.. there is only one arch.. single crochet into the arch then single crochet into the next chain.. i had three chains left (including the arch) at the end of my row so i single crochet into the arch and the last two chains.

  • @Garapetsa
    @Garapetsa 4 года назад +5

    Nice pattern.
    Fyi: when you start the pattern again, remember that your chain 3 is a double crochet. Then you will do 3 double crochet into the chain which is next. Look at chart.
    You'll have 4 double crochet at the start.
    Always double crochet into the chains.
    Thanks for the pattern and video.
    I'm getting a new baby girl this February.

      @lisakeefer4258 2 года назад +2

      @@margaretkling9745 Hello Margaret , well The blanket I crocheted is like the one in the tutorial but not the same size approximately 34 inches x 45 is the size I did . I skipped the last 2 rows before the boarder and the last row of the boarder and that was approximately 1260 yards of Caron simply soft yarn and I didn’t keep track of how much I used on the flowers . I would guess if you went by the length and width that she has it and all the flowers I would say that I should have had about 1500 to 1600 yards for this beautiful baby blanket. I hope this helps you Ms Margaret.

    I have been crocheting for more than 65 years, and , yes, this is a beautiful pattern, but it is one of the most confusing I've ever seen. I rewrote it, and instead of 150+1, I made it 130+1, and I'm making it pink and white. I have followed her on many of her videos, but her fingers are always in the way of the stitches. I have frogged it 5 times, followed Catherine Beavers advice. It came out beautiful, but the edges did not seem to match the pattern.

    I need clarification with border one. First row do we have to skip one stitch between each sc? Then row 3, the instruction does not seem to match what the video shows. Am I missing something? Thank you

    Does it matter that your video chain is different from the written pattern? It’s a beautiful blanket and I want to make it. Thank you!

      Hello
      The written instruction for this edging is here - mycrochetpattern.com/baby/blanket/beautiful-crochet-blanket-for-babies/
      I'll make the video tutorial in a few days

      I would also LOVE the video to the edging. I'm new to crochet and can't read patterns yet. I'm making this blanket for a baby shower in December.

      +4ch+7dc=167 st

    Guys please do not put your first dc in the 4th chain as it says on the instructions because it’s wrong. You can clearly see the lady is actually doing her first dc in the 5th chain and not the 4th, because if you do start on the 4th chain you will end up with an extra dc at the end of row 1.
