Wonderful. This battleship was involved in the Battle of Leyte Gulf that helped liberate the Philippine islands from Japanese occupation. Brave sailors manned this awesome battleship. This is a perfect example of what FDR called the "Arsenal of Democracy". Thank you Cindy for taking the time to film this incredible vessel of history.

Cool Video! "Under Seige" with Steven Segal and Gary Busey was filmed on that ship.. and my Dad said that years ago.. back in the 1970's the NBC TV Trucking Show "MOVIN ON" with Claude Akins and Frank Converse taped a show aboard that ship and all around Mobile and Pensacola. You can see the episode on RUclips.

My parents took me there in 1974 when I was 8 years old, and then I went there on a 5th grade school field trip. I think I took 3 ex girlfriends there, and I know I took my 2 ex wives there.. lol lol… dang I love that ship and the Aircraft exhibits !! I think I'll go again this spring. It's too hot down inside the ship during the summer for me. It's awesome during the spring, fall, and winter. Great Video !! Thanks for sharing with us !!

Oh my, what a great video Flatbed Chick. One time back in the 1980's me and Lenore, were going down I-10 on our way to Disney World and it was the 4th of July.. they had a huge Fireworks show going on at the Battleship Park. We just had to pull over onto the Causeway and watch it.. It was amazing. They go all out on the 4th of July. This video brought back a lot of memories for me. Thank You.

I recently toured the BB-64 USS Wisconsin down in Norfolk VA. last month. Those ships are incredible! I'm sure glad that they saved some of these war time vessels for all of us to tour and enjoy.
After being aboard several ships, I now wish that I had joined the Navy way back in the 80's. Thank You Cindy for sharing these views with us! Like yourself, I was a little saddened that I couldn't go to the top as well! But none the less,... It was a priceless and memorable moment,..................

Good video, illustrates what sailer's in WW-II endured, in TEXAS the Battleship Texas has been closed to the public, in preparation for a trip to a shipyard to repair rusting steel after 100 years since it's hull was laid about 1911. It will take many years to repair since its last trip to a shipyard for repairs to it's hull and superstructure. 🇺🇸

We delivered to one of those huge ships in San Diego Ca..After spending ALL day waiting for some Admirals ceremony. Then picked at the same location and had a short time to delivered at Oak Harbor Wa I think it was. I'd have to look up the info for it..I have photos...I think the year was 1988 or 1989..It was interesting but two very tired days..But you know what that is like some days in trucking..Different now with the ELD.. Too restrictive.. Interesting video Cindy..Thank you for taking us along..Your friend Mark seems nice..I'm glad he wasn't a stalker.. Have a Blessed Day and be happy.

Well now I'll tell ya what... Back during World War II that was a mighty war vessel. Every time I pass through Mobile, Alabama, Bobby always has a fit to stop and go on the Battleship.. and of course me and Peggy can't tell the boy no. By got.. that's a part of Naval History sitting there in the Bay for the Kids to look at.. I feel privaledged to be an American, a Texan from Arlen, Texas, and the 12 time Texas Propane Salesman of the Year, I'll have ya' know ! Now that was a mighty fine Patriotic Vidyo. Absolutely Great Video. Excellent Content. Next time that you pass through Mobile, if you have time, I would recommend that you stop there again, and do another video on the submarine beside the Battleship, The USS Drum. Also, over to your right will be a huge Aircraft Display Building, with lots of exhibits, which is quite amazing. I appreciate RUclips creators that produce quality works of art such as you have accomplished with this video. A very nice tribute to our great Navy Vessels of the past. Carry On Sweet Lady. Remember my cousin an I setting in the seats on the big guns playing like we was shooting them and going down in the engine room and seeing the big engines. This video made me think back 60 yearsI think it was the summer of 1959 when we went to see my aunt the lived in Texas and they took us over to Houston to see it. I just turned 68 November 21 so I would have been 7 that summer. Thanks for the memories loved see it. Stay safe and God bless.
