It doesn't take a lot nowadays to look good. Every company now is too interested tiny and powerful LED headlights and rear strips along with extremely huge grills and hard angles all around. Just simple flowing curves is something companies like BMW are really shying away from.
I own an SVR (2023) and an FType R (2022) and I am probably the happiest I have ever been. Always something fun to drive! Not the fastest on the road but still hella fun.
@@Jagger2020 I would imagine it would be because it was introduced after the 24MY was already on sale. The F type ZP edition will probably be 25MY as well. Sadly our dealership won’t see any of them as we gave up the Jaguar allocation back in June

We got one for my 72 year old mom who grew up driving the muscle cars her brother built and she whips that thing 😂 I've put as many miles on it as she has because its one of the best sounding cars on the road! Weve had it since 2018 and that model has the most insane backfire crackles and pops to add to this beautiful orchestra

The AJ-V8 engine is pretty good. After 2013 they fixed the timing chain guide issue. The AJ-V8 Gen III has been around since 2009. Make sure to change the oil often and you shouldn't have a problem. The Engine is such a pleasure to drive, i used to have one. Great low end torque that is usable on regular driving conditions.
I was behind a red one yesterday where I live in CT, I’m positive the older guy had no idea what he was driving. The exhaust sounds so amazing at like 25 mph 😍
When I got mine I picked up a relative from the train station, they said that a jag is a old man's car, I agreed as I'm old. I switched to dynamic and gave the SVR the beans, the look on their face was hilarious.

I just bought one. And added a TDI Tuning kit. Holy sh*t!!! This thing is scary! The engine snarls, spits and crackles every time I press the gas in dynamic mode. I could see people 50 feet away turning their heads when they hear me coming. Best $$$ I ever spent on a car. If you can afford one get one! 👍🏾!
They aren’t high in cost bro. In comparison to the BMW X5M competition which is faster and more plush luxury than this. IMO jaguar is not on the level as BMW, Audi and Mercedes. It’s on the Lexus, Acura and Infiniti level.
I’m curious why it’s not brought up more but if jaguar goes all electric, these things will likely increase in value after a few years. Possibly a good investment.
As a Jaguar XF owner for the last five years, I can’t wait to upgrade into one of these. One of the last great sounding engines available in any consumer segment. PS Jaguar reliability is not nearly as bad as ppl think. It’s European, yes, and it’s not a Toyota, but it’s not noticeably better or worse than any Audi or Benz imo.
Pricing is insane given what this competes with. Hard to justify any other brands against a Supercharged V8! especially on this price range when everything else is closer to $110-120K+. You can even select special colors (on the US configurator) that still keep the SVR in the low six figures.
The “silver” paint is Eiger grey. Big news in the UK, at least, is that the car is now the P575 Edition with the full 575 horse power version of this engine. I think you guys need to test that one soon! I’m just going out in mine to get some running-in miles done (3000km required)…..
Holy crap! The SVO colour options are now $10k for this last model year haha - I got my Petrolix Blue for $2500 and my MSRP was $112k compared to the exact same spec hitting $131k CAD on Jag’s online configurator now haha. Hope that boosts my pre-owned sale price…
Awesome SVR. Thank goodness this is a non Hybrid or EM with this motor. The way a V8 should be. It would be a tough choice between this and V8 Porsche Cayanne S. You both seemed very happy to testing this SUV today.

I love my 2029 f Pace SVR. Super rare in the UK, only about 1500 of them. Sounds and looks so much better than six cylinder alternatives. Favourite gear, third. Punchy even at low revs, and the torque goes up and up as you get faster.

As a 2021 SVR owner, I have some disagreements with you. 1: Sound system - you might say its treble is good, but the bass resolution is inferior, especially at high volumes, when the door panels produce severe resonance. 2: Vehicle sound insulation - it's hard to believe this is a $100k SUV, as the wind noise is severe when driving over 100 km/h, forcing me to increase the volume to at least 20 which is 1/3 of full volume. 3: Steering precision - as a performance SUV, its steering is very vague, even worse than a regular BMW X3. 4: The trunk lacks a one-touch function to fold down the rear seats. 5: The charging pad overheats easily, activating my phone's overheating protection after just ten minutes. 6. This is a common issue with Jaguar Land Rover; the front seats have a minimal reclining angle, approximately only up to 120 degrees. 7. Pixel headlights cannot be equipped in North America. When I want to flash the high beams to alert the car in front of me, there is about a 2-second delay from the time I switch to the high beam position to when the lights actually turn on high beam. This is the slowest response I've experienced in any European car I've driven.
Yea… the price. Eliminate all electronic crap, add a manual 6spd, shed 500lbs+ . This would cut the price by $35k+ and improve every aspect of this V8.

I drove one of these along with the F-Type SVR at a Jaguar driving event a few years ago and I still think about it often. That V8 is so raucous.

Probably has the loud button activated. I have a 3.0 S F-Type manual, it's pretty quiet in normal mode but when in loud mode it is quite aggressive.

Modern brake pads don't outgas in a way that require drilled/slotted rotors, that means the rotors can have more surface area and better braking.

Huh? Jags come with a 5 year/60k mile warranty that includes free scheduled maintenance. Better than anything else in the segment.
