    n this video, we going over the pros, cons, and damage report of my Tacoma after off-roading in Moab Utah. Overall, the new Tacoma did great, the low end power, longer wheel base, and the tires I chose all made for a great rig on the trail.
    I feel the truck lacked though a little in the suspension department along with storage (it's a midsize so this is a stretch). Also, the vehicle made out pretty damage free aside from the exhaust pipe that hags WAY too low, and also my tow hitch that scrapped a bit.
    Utah was absolutely stunning, so much so that I failed to record a bunch of video for you all. Next time!

    Awesome Ride Man!!!! The collar lift is what I am concerned about, the Pre Mature - bottoming out on suspension droop is my main concern with adding an extra inch or two for lift as I want to take my Tundra SR light roading, but do not want to compromise ride quality, I might just stuff larger tires on it and call it a day! I would have loved to see a equally modded out Tundra ride with you guys and see truck for truck the difference. The midsize trucks have their advantages, but if you carry a large amount of goods, the Twin Turbo V6 in a full size might be the way to go! lots of good options in any case!

    • @TRDJon
      @TRDJon  2 месяца назад

      Yea there were no full sized trucks with us at all. Bit tight of a trail for sure! The kit is good for light off road and road use but anything really more than that it will be ok but you definitely would need to consider a full suspension setup.

    Um. Why were you hauling the factory spare around? Extra weight, no use at all if you are carrying your matching spare.
    If it were me, I'd keep the spare mounted upright on a locking mount against the cab or parralell with the wheel well. And you could us some sort of bed storage system for your mis things?
    This is the confusing point to me on the TRD Pro/Trail Hunter trims. The cab is not large enough to use for much storage, the bed is too short for real truck use (hauling loads, bikes won't fit, etc). The target audience for these trucks is off roaders (supposedly). It seems to me that a 4Runner or Land Cruiser would be the better choice for that duty. More interior space, better suspension (5th gen 4 vs 3rd gen taco at least), waaaay cheaper, and overall, built for purpose.
    Anyway, great vid with some good pros/cons.

    • @TRDJon
      @TRDJon  2 месяца назад +1

    the low end torque of the 4-cyl is going to make it a classic and highly sought engine for many years. Low end torque is why people love those old 4runner V8 and that was totally lost with the weak V6. Now you can have the best of both worlds: light engine with low end torque.
