I am 58 with super dry skin and I absolutely love the Pro-Glow version of this Loreal Infallible foundation! Illuminating but not too shiny, very nice. Much better than the matte version for us in the over-50 crowd.
I have always had oily skin. I'm 46 and this has been by far the best foundation that has managed to keep my oily face oil free throughout the day. I think this foundation would be to drying if you have normal to dry skin. But if you have oily skin you should definitely give it a try. I love it.
Hi Angie! I have to respectfully disagree with your review. I'm 42 and I too have wrinkles, dark spots and enlarged pores. I just started using this foundation a few months ago and I love it. I apply it with a kabuki stippling brush, but the trick is to use a finishing spray to create a hydrating/supple finish. In fact, I use a finishing spray on top of all of my full-face applications. Finishing sprays that I use are MAC Studio Moisture Fix and/or L'Oreal Infallible® Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender. I can't say enough about this product and for the price, it's a no brainer. I am prone to break-outs, and this product did not break me out. It's all about application with this product in terms of primer/moisturizer/finishing spray. Lastly, I feel that it compares to high-end products that I have recently used like Make-up Forever, NARS and MAC.
I am a cosmetics manufacturer. You are very professional in analysing, pointing things out that a manufacturer hardly notices. Thank you for this video. I got good feedback for my own brand. Highly appreciated.
I've followed you for a long time but am not a regular commenter. I just wanted to say that I so enjoy your videos and appreciate all of the time and thought that goes into them! Thanks so much for all you do for the over 50 crowd!!
FYI..EL double ware works very well with the Wayne Goss method. I use argan oil. I use this on my 61 year old skin. Angie you are beautiful and a wealth of information.
Thank you for the Foundation Fridays! Not only do I find your videos enjoyable and informative, but I love reading all the comments. Your subscribers are wonderful! I get a lot from their comments.
I actually love this foundation! I always seem to be backwards from everybody else. Lol. I'm 46 and this was one of the only liquid foundations that didn't accentuate my pores and dry patches this winter. I put on with my fingers the old-fashioned way without any rolling motion and that seems the best for me. I know you didn't like it Angie but you looked great wearing it!
Hi Angie. I have normal to oily skin but am in the over 50 group. You are so right about this foundation. Even if your skin isn t dry it still accentuates all my fine and not so fine
Bless you for doing these reviews!!! I actually LOVE this foundation ( 41) but I'm very very oily so it works for me I also use an eye cream underneath for the issues u addressed.... PLEASE KEEP THE VIDS COMING!!!!
Thanks so much doing this series!! I too am looking for my holy grail foundation. I had already bought this and thrown it away!! I was so glad to hear that I wasn't the only mature woman who had problems with it!! I'm 64 but am told by many I look 10 years younger, yay for oily skin. But my fine lines and wrinkles drive me nuts and boy did this foundation accentuate them all!
This is my go-to foundation right now. I had to learn the best way to ware it similar to you. I found it works so much better when I put moisturizer on first. Also I use 2 different shades to make it not too dark and not too light. For the price, this is a great matte foundation. Love your videos!
Hi Angie, I am well over 50 but I think you explain much better for this very mature brain, thank you. I love your channel and all your suggestions. And I enjoy the clothes you model and you are, indeed, a beautiful model.
I really like ALL your lip colors that's where I get ideas on what to try. I tried the tarte nude one because of you and love it and now I amm going to try this Laura Mercier one...I only follow you for this because they all seem like complimentary colors for me
I wear this mixed with chanel aqua and it is my favourite! It is a great way to extend a high end foundation and adds that little bit of extra coverage. I spend a lot of time flying in planes (very drying & I end up dehydrated) and the combo of the two is unbelievably reliable. I'm in my 50's and combining these 2 (kabuki brush application) plus fix it plus to seal is fabulous.
I'm 59 and absolutely love this foundation. I use Hourglass mineral veil primer under it and it looks amazing and lasts all day long for me. I apply it with a damp beauty blender.
I appreciate how thorough you are with your tests. I'm excited about the pro matte only because it works well for oily skin. don't ask me why but now my skin is getting oily at the age of 54.
Hi Angie, just wanted to say I love your channel. Really like seeing all the close ups of how the products sit on the skin. I'm only 27 but have real issues with pores and fine lines looking massive with lots of foundations!
Thanks to all the younger You Tube gals, this foundation was on my shopping list. Thank you for the awesome review. I will definitely save my money and continue watching your foundation review series.
Thanks Angie! I appreciate your hard work on our (over 50) behalf. You go above and beyond in your reviews, and I plan to keep watching as long as you keep posting them. :) Sheri.
Thanks for looking for the "holy grail" of foundations! I love it that you are putting all these to the ultimate tests - heat, humidity, time, etc. We all have foundations that are pretty good. Keep up the great reviews. Why shouldn't we look for perfection!?
This series is absolutely fascinating! Thank you taking the time to do this every week. I don't know of anyone else who has done such a well thought out almost scientific study on the best foundations for older skin. Great job! I look forward to your video every week. I'm 42 and I'm hopeful you'll come across a good one. :)
I have terrible Hot flashes 😥 and I'm dry...I was thinking of buying this but I Will NOT.... Thank you so much for sharing....You do a Great Job and I Thank you for helping us ALL..... GOD BLESS...
Love your Friday series, even thou I use only cruelty free products, I watch your videos with pleasure as there's always something valuable that you want to share with your viewers.
Too cute...I loved how you covered your mistake with the brand. You are so authentic and real...that's why I keep tuning in! Keep up the good work an keeping it real☺️👍
I did actually try this a few months later and I really like it but not the cost..won't repurchase..will stick with the maybelene mat and poreless..love it
I always enjoy your videos. You test every product thoroughly, and you maintain continuity. However, some foundations take a bit of experimentation. I absolutely love each of the L'Oréal Infallible foundations. I'm 42, and I haven't begun exhibiting fine lines or wrinkles, yet. Although, I do have discoloration and larger pores. I use the pro matte on my t-zone, and the pro-glow on the rest of my face. If I'm going to be outside in the Tennessee heat I'll wear the Total Coverage foundation. I prep and prime my skin with hydrating products. I love Becca's Backlight Priming Filter, and Benefit's POREfessional on my t-zone. I apply the pro-matte and pro-glow with densely packed buffing brush, but you can apply with a beauty sponge too. However, I ONLY use a beauty sponge for the long wear foundation. It created a natural, skin like glow. They are all gorgeous foundations! They've replaced my Chanel and Urban decay foundations. If you learn how to apply these foundations in accordance with your skin type, you'll never wear anything else. 😊
Dear Angie, all I can think about is- where would I be without you?!! I can proudly say I've been your subscriber for a long time, when your channel was still "a small one", in it's beggining and I always knew you'll make it big/great! And I'm so happy I was right...! Love your personality, calmness, themes you're choosing...yep, there's not a single thing I can complain about! Wishing you all the best and many more interesting videos... xo
I haven't even finished listening and I wanted to tell you that I mix my IT Cosmetics CC cream with my L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte and use a really good moisturizer and it keeps it perfectly fresh all day without being overly drying. I do, however, have oily skin but I am 46 and it is combination and I obviously have fine lines and wrinkles to deal with. Anyway, I'm going back to continue watching to the end to see if you love this or hate this lol ....Happy Friday, Angie, and have a wonderful weekend! xo
PS, I apply the foundation on with dots that I drag into lines and then I use a stippling method with the Sigma flat top kabuki and it works fantastic. Lisa's air brushed. Ok...really, I'm going to finish watching now!! :)
Michele Tarver I have oily skin as well, all over oily, and don't wear a moisturizer at all. I am wondering how that would work, and if it would settle too much in pores and wrinkles. Mixing with a CC cream? That's a thought. I can't wear BB or CC creams either without looking like someone threw a greasy pork chop on my face!! I am glad I read your comment!
48 and Holding my comment above was supposed to say LOOKS airbrushed...nut Lisa's??? My Swype auto correct UGH!!!! I use IT Cosmetics CC cream in the medium shade and I mix it with 106 sun beige of the Loreal, and as a primer I use Cotz sunscreen underneath. It blurs all of my imperfections, it fills up my pores and my makeup stays ALL day!! I set with a very light dusting of the Ben Nye banana powder, or sometimes I use the Urban Decay Naked Ultra Def foundation powder, again, lightly over it and I use the L'Oreal Infallible setting spray to set the whole entire thing at the end. Because it is a lasting dryer foundation, believe it or not, I will also use the NYX "Dewy" set spray to moisten it a little more if need be, but it usually only needs that when I'm not having my visits with Aunt Flo...If ya know what I mean :) Seriously, I LOVE the options with this foundation. I turned my 83 old mother onto it and she can't believe how AMAZING she looks and that it lasts all day. The trick with this foundation is to prep well, primer is MANDATORY, and to use a good moisturizer and setting spray for more moisture or more dryness, being whatever your issue leans towards. I hope that helps :) xo
Michele Tarver Ohhh, and also I use the Cotz natural tint sunscreen. They others are all crap for a primer. That's the only holy grail out of the Cotz line for me. If you use other foundations, try that sunscreen as a primer also...it is PHENOMENAL. Keep in mind, that is also after a good prep first, sunscreen last and then foundation is applied.
Michele Tarver I can't find anything better so far than Clinique City Block Sheer. All other natural sunscreens make me look like a vampire, even if they call themselves invisible. How does the Cotz compare? Can it be worn on its own like City Block?
Hi Angie, I tried this foundation today and I really like it. I am 44 and have oily acne prone skin so this is a relavation for me. I came back to this video and think you might be better to try the regular L'oreal infallible foundation for normal to dry skin? It might be better when you thought the L'oreal infallible pro matte was too drying for your skin.
I've tried the same three methods and the sponge is by far the best! I don't use it under my eyes for the same reason you did not like it under your eyes. It magnifies my eye wrinkles. 😒 I get the polka dot pores too, but I just try not to play around with it too much in those areas. I wore this to Universal Studios in Florida two days in a row earlier this month and it actually did surprisingly well in my opinion. I did discover I could not use it with my Korres primer--it did the same thing as the oil did for you.
I also recently tried the L'Oreal Infallible Matte (I'm 48 with combo skin) A couple of observations 1) it was difficult to choose a color based on packaging and because I purchased it at Walmart could not swatch. I also purchased the 103 Neutral Buff and it was too yellow for me. 2) It didn't handle my primer well and at my 11 hour mark it had actually started to pill into my creases around my mouth and nose. I'm going to give it one more go by leaving out the primer and mixing in with a lighter shade of foundation (not sure which one yet) and see how that goes. Thanks for your observations! I really enjoy them and you!
Thanks so much for reviewing this foundation. Had heard good things from another youtuber, however, she is much younger than us and I was hesitant to try this product. Thanks so much for saving me the trouble! Love,LOVE,Love this series!!
Prior to applying the Loreal Infallible Foundation, I use the new Bare Minerals Prep Step SPF 50, or one of my wonderful Asian sunscreens with a high SPF. I apply the foundation with my fingers and then blend with a brush. I love the effect! This is probably my favorite drugstore foundation. I then use a setting spray. I've had wonderful luck with it and like you, got the color right on the first selection. I am 64, so this is a testament that this foundation can work for an older complexion.
Angie your videos are so helpful! I love that you address the over 50 "issues". I look forward to Fridays-- can't wait to see your new video. Keep up the excellent work! By the way- I think you look especially nice today. Your makeup looks great too :)
Angie, you should give the Smashbox hydrating 15 hr wear foundation a try. I think you might love it! It doesn't settle into my pores or fine lines, it's not drying, and it really does last all day. I have combo/oily skin but I think all skin types would like this foundation.
Love your videos! I agree the last 2 foundations did not do you justice, too matte and they aged you. Reminds me of 80s foundation full cover matte which is all we had. Keep making these wonderful RUclips videos, you are so lovely and have a wonderful style.
Hi Angie LOVING your foundation Friday series! Such a comprehensive review of the foundations. I am 40 but have skin which appears way older. So many videos are done by young girls; I have bought foundations on their recommendations yet they don't address my skin's issues or just look plain awful! I'm really looking forward to seeing more reviews - especially higher end ones. I particularly enjoy your tips for application, phone test and how they wear. Please keep up the good work!
I am 59 and love your videos. I got a different result with this make up because I am still fairly oily after all these years. In Texas in the summer I only use a tiny bit of moisturizer under my eyes and that's it, for under make up use, and this foundation looks smooth and doesn't leave my face a sweaty mess when I get out of the car.I love Bobbi Brown liquid Skin foundation in the winter, but it's too moist for the summer. You might like it. It is way better than the stick Skin foundation.
I use covergrl 3&1 foundation. Its says foundation plus primer and concealer in one. For me it stays all day it is a matt, im 49 years old so far I don't mind it. I use to have oily skin but since menopause my skin is more normal sometimes little dry patches in the winter .
Agree 100%. I am in my 50s. I got this after hearing good things about it and HATED! It sets on pores, fine lines around the mouth, peach fuzz everywhere you never knew you had it, was super drying and caked very soon after application. After a few hours grease spots and Tzone looked alike oil sleek. I tried with diffrent primers, tools, setting sprays, never worked for me. I passed it on to a much younger friend who has greasy skin and she told me it was the best, her Holy grail foundation :)
I found the MUFE HD to be the absolute worst medium/ high end foundation ever. Unless you have great skin to start with FORGET IT. Cannot understand how it gets good reviews.
Lisa Archibald What skin care do you use? I have great skin now but it wasn't like that for years. I saw a youtuber Noblisse? from Italy review 2% BHA Liquid and Resist serum and I checked out the Paula's Choice website and was HOOKED. I ordered a gag of stuff and I have been using her line ever since. That was just about a year and half ago and my face is amazing. At 34 I was going to bed with my makeup and washing it off in the am with my husbands Irish Spring!!! THEN, and ever since I was a teen, I NEVER used any moisturizer or sunscreens ever. I used to just get out of the shower and use MAC Studio Fix powder foundation on top. At 40 I started to panic a little and then about 42 I started to switch to using Stila BB Cream with the SFix over that and then Bare Escentuals loose and compact over that. Little by little I got to where I am now with PC and thank heavens for her and that line. No exaggeration. Also, I learned a TON from the "Beautypedia" on her website. Check it out. Threw out TONS of stuff I was wasting money on that did NOTHING FOR ME!!! Right before I found her I had just started unloaded money and a bunch of Perricone's products. While I enjoyed them, (but not their price!!!!) the results were nowhere near what I got with PC, I guarantee you will be as amazed as pretty much everyone who tries her stuff. Good luck!! xo (PS, Angie has reviewed a couple of Paula's Choice items here that I've seen)
Michele Tarver BTW, During that 40-42 time frame, I tried moving to liquid foundations because I thought I was aging and this will help, OMGOSH I used MAC Studio Fix fluid an the MAC Prolong wear fluid, it broke me out in MAJOR CYSTIC acne that I could not get rid of for almost 2 years!!! That's when I switched to the Stila BB Cream etc. I had scars from that and then, I water ski and boat in summer, so I started to notice I was hyper-pigmentation on my upper cheeks and wherever I had little acne scars, so, everything boiled over into me HAVING to address it all. Now at 46 people always compliment my skin and until I started watching all the beauty gurus here on YT, I never realized how nice my skin really is now. I was NEVER that person. Anyway, I hope that helps :) xo
Michele Tarver That helps, Michelle, but I really would like to know what products from PC do you attribute your beautiful skin to? I started a year ago on PC's products but in the last few months, I have started to get small flesh colored stubborn, stay-put bumps that just sit there week after week and do nothing but look horrid, and I can't get rid of them. I also started getting a few sebaceous hyperplasia, probably due to age. My acne was severe and cystic since age 13 to age 27 when I started accutane. But now I have the terrible scars from this, and huge pores that are getting bigger, even though I use PC;s bha 2%, 4% and the 9% spot treatment. I have used her vitamin C, a lot of various toners I alternate, and the retinol, which was too severe even though I added moisturizers to it. I love the toners and the C, but the antioxidant products have a lot of dimethicone. I think after experimentation, that the culprit is all of the silicone/dimethicones that are used pretty heavily in PC's products. There is a definite correlation. I did not have these bumps, that are under my eyes and further below, accentuating the fine lines because the bumps are in a linear pattern too, along with the random pattern. I suspected dimethicone because while I was using the 9% bha which has tons of the dimethicone on the bumps, it made them worse! more would come up daily. Then it started a group of blackheads where I had been applying it, and these would not go away, or if I was able to extract them, they came back. I put more BHA 9 on them, because it is supposed to fix this, but I thought maybe it was the cause, after all, many people have trouble with silicones, but I never thought I would develop that sensitivity, if that is what it is. So I stopped using the bha 9 and the blackheads wnt away but the flesh colored bumps remain. So now I can't use much skincare since so much of it has silicone, and the silicone free primers do not work well, like the ones with silicone. Sorry this ended up being so long, when I really just want to know which products you like from PC? Thanks a bunch for listening!
Ruth, I would call the Paula's choice team for assistance because there is a lot going on with your skin that certain products used in conjunction with other ones could possibly make it worse. Also, go to the Paula's Choice RUclips channel and watch their video of the live chat on Thursday. Paula herself was answering questions and they addressed someone with some serious acne issues who had been on accutane and wasn't seeing results. So she elaborated a little bit about the different things that have to do with using the wrong products or different one in conjunction with others and also she mention something about not using certain products or any other products when you are on Accutane. I'm thinking the customer team there would really be able to help you!! As far as myself I use resist toner, resist serum, the 5 percent daily AHA and the 10 percent weekly AHA, and the resist moisture barrier moisturizer with retinol. Also some other products of hers like the vitamin C and the tooth whitener, the lip scrub and the BHA 2% liquid for deep for cleaning pores and also the BHA cream for the body and AHA cream for the neck and chest area. I think that's all??? And I love every bit of it!!!
I look forward to every foundation video you are doing. I'm so hoping you find a HG to recommend. Fingers crossed Angie. BTW Iove the way you've lined your eyes, done your brows, and styled your hair here. Looking prettier than ever! 🌸
Sounds like this foundation is an oily skinned girl's dream come true. Unfortunately I have dry sensitive skin. The last thing I need is a foundation that leaves me even drier. Thanks once again for all the work you put these foundations through! "And for my next trick..." LOL! That was great!
Love your videos, Angie! The Neutrogena 8hr long wearing foundation is a nice medium coverage with a natural finish. It does not settle into my forehead lines or large pores so it may work for you as well!
I use Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Foundation. I like it very much. I recently tried samples of EL Double Wear Light and like it very much too. My skin is more even than yours, so I'm not sure if these have the coverage you're looking for, but I feel very natural in both. I do wear primer too. I agree with what many stated here. You look great on these shots and would love a tutorial on the eye look. Thanks for your reviews.
This is one of my favorite foundations. I have to wonder the difference it might have made using the brush without the coconut oil (why anyone would use that on their face is beyond me....just sayin'). I do dab it onto areas that need a bit more coverage and it looks great. I'm thinking maybe your skin is drier than mine - never can tell. But great, thorough video, thanks!!!
Thanks Angie. I'm 61 yrs. old and it's difficult to find a nice foundation. My skin is in good shape with minimal wrinkles and sun damage but it seems dull at times. I have been using Pond's BB Cream or Rimmel Stay Matte; both applied with a light hand and set with a mineral powder. Again a light application of powder. Seems to work best for me and it doesn't feel or look heavy or mask-like. Carol M.
I bought this foundation because everyone seemed to say it was great. I am in my mid forties and I found the foundation too matt and powdery for my skin, which combined together increase the look of wrinkles. I am lovely at the moment Almay TLC foundation, which has great coverage and is more of a satin finish which I feel is more flattering on mature skin. Thanks for the video, very interesting xx
Thanks for the review! I love this foundation for my oily skin but I do wear something luminous under it on high points of my face to stop it looking one dimensional. I love its staying power too
Loving the video! I'm 28 and even on me it makes my small beginning lines look suddenly very deep if that makes sense. Around the mouth its very dry and sad looking. Its not build-able and even my bronzer applied patchy over it. Its is not at all smoothing over pores:( The only way I can make this work is definitely with a damp sponge! Apply a very sheer amount. My secret trick with this is pritz a fine mist of water over the finished foundation. It makes it look way better. I wear this on a evening out, because the wear time is good and I don't get shiny. It also looks great if you want to be photographed that evening. Don't recommend for daytime! And not for layering! Love you're video's! Would love to see clinique's 'even better' on you with a fine milled powder like make up studio's over the top. 'Even better' is just a beautiful skin -like foundation and the finely milled powder will help defuse you're fine lines and help with the shine. Oh, and I hope that I will look like you when I'm older! xxx
Totally agree. I had to return as well. Thank you for continuing to search for the HG foundation for our special needs skin. So far, what's your favorite? I bought the It cosmetics CC cream based on your review and loved it in the winter. In SC it gets humid in June and the CC cream is a bit too supple. Would love to know what you find yourself wearing these summer days.
Well, thank you so much for this review! I must say I'm disappointed in the performance of this foundation, but not shocked. I'm honestly thinking I may never be able to wear foundation again, but will continue to watch just in case you do come across that holy grail! Again, I appreciate you going through all of this for us mature women.
I think this looks beautiful on you. I use it w/a RT sponge which I am getting used to (how much water etc) and love the coverage. Sad we need more coverage as we also need something less drying. I use Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Corrector for my moisturizer & never seem to let it dry all the way lol so maybe that accounts for it going on w/out looking so dry. And sometimes I will add that L'Oreal Miracle Blur undereye cream thing. Havent seen this making my fine undereye lines look worse thus far and I have small pores. So I still like it very much. Would love if you can include the Sephora spray on, the Dior Airflash I think knock off, I love the airbrushed coverage of that one but feel That one is the more drying, but man, for a nite out, it's my HG. Thanks Angie!!
I LOVE this series. I hope you can get a sample of Too Faced Born This Way foundation. As for the L'Oreal, it is one I use regularly...still searching for the HG. I am 40 with oilier skin. I use a primer and I apply this both with a BB or Sigma F80 and get good results. I feel using a good powder like Bye Bye Pores or Laura Mercier or Charlotte Tilbury really improves the flawless look. I do not apply it around the eye area and use a separate concealer for that. It's the only foundation I have right now that keeps the oily t zone at bay. I use Retin A and I have found it to cling to a dry patch, but in my experience everything does. Until I find my perfect foundation this will remain in my go tos because it's inexpensive. I love your videos and find your reviews very helpful and informative. I use a lot of products with great results due to your recommendations. I'm still searching for the best sunscreen, going to try Exuviance next.
Hi Angie, I am 49 and have been using Boujois healthy mix serum gel foundation. I love it. I would love to hear what you think about it. I got it at their website but you can get it on Amazon now for about $13.00. I also purchased the concealer which I did not like because it doesn't give great coverage and is cakey to me. Thanks for your time and keep up the great work.
Ty Angie. Based on your review, I feel those of us who are using retin-a and therefore our skin are drier, need something that won't dry our skin even more.
I am in my early 60s and still have a greaseball face. I am not complaining too much since it helps ward off wrinkles. This foundation is for OILY skin like mine and is inappropriate for dry skin of any age. This does not stop but effectively cuts down on grease and shine. I still have to use blotting papers after several hours, and a touch or translucent powder or my earlier in the day used but not cleaner beauty blender copy sponge. This is a great everyday dupe for Estée Lauder Double wear foundation which I save for going out. The Estée Lauder works the same but has a superior finish. You can’t beat a high end foundation. Many makeup artists, i.e., Wayne Goss, say that if you are going to spend on any higher end product, foundation is where to do it.
Thank you, your Foundation Friday videos have become my favorite videos to look out for on RUclips! And thank you for this one, you just saved me money! lol
I really love this foundation review, and am eagerly looking forward to more. Thanks so much for all the hard work you put into the vids.... it's very much appreciated!
I really love how you show the makeup after time has passed. Most makeup looks great when just put on, the real test is in a few hours. What I wish you would add is if you were in air conditioning all day, or out in the humidity-that makes a difference as to how weather the makeup moves around, etc. Thanks
Many thanks, Angie!...I very much appreciate you taking the time to film these foundation videos! I recently purchased from MAC their new waterproof foundation and I really like it... Maybe you might consider reviewing that one as well?
I'm 54 with dry to normal skin and I use this foundation with a Real Techniques buffing brush and I get a much better result with my large pores than you are getting. So it's interesting to see the different applications. So helpful. Please do the new Laura Mercier foundation.
I have made this foundation work only when mixed it with my MAC's face and body. It was waaay better in terms of color and texture and finish. Now I'm using the By Terry "cover expert" and so far it is the best out of everything i have tried. You should try it too as we really seem to have similar skin and foundation preferences. It is not the full coverage despite the name. You can also try Guerlain Lingerie De Peau. Those two are are the best
hey hun, I heard that mixing the L'Oréal pro glow with the pro matte gives a beautiful satin finish. might be worth a shot for you. leads drying. thanks for the great review!
Thanks Angie, very good explanation. I had heard a lot of good about it as well. All I knew was that it did not work for me. I did not like what it did for my skin. Now I understand why.
I was just getting ready to buy this foundation for the first time and of course, had to get Angie's review first!! My skin and tone is so much like yours...but I have alot more wrinkles You talked me out of this!! I am really having a time trying to find a foundation from the drugstore...but I will keep trying!! Thank you so much for your awesome review and test!! Have a nice weekend, sweet Angie!! xo Gina S Idaho
Love this series Angie. You are the best at reviews and so helpful to us older gals hoping to get the best products for our aging skin. I am on day four of wearing this foundation and to tell you the truth, even before I watched your video, the jury was still out. My favorite foundation has been EL Double Wear Light but I was hoping to find a drug store dupe but I agree with you on this one...this isn't it! It is long wearing but the coverage is just weird. I am applying it with a stippling brush. Thanks again and BTW your eye makeup looks awesome today! Have a great weekend! Julie
I'd love to see your foundation drawer. ;) There's a huge difference between 5 and 12 hour wear. I think that goes with most foundations on the market -- over promise and under deliver.
Thanks for trying this. I think it works for me bc I have normal to oily skin, so far. I always use primer too, since watching you and learning about them. I never put any makeups under my eyes for the reason you stated, I really don't even like to put concealer, although I do have light dark circles. If there is such a thing :) But, I tell you I have tried so many foundations, not as many as you, and my chin and around my nose always wears off in about an hour. I don't know what's up with that. Maybe I touch there a lot. Anyway great review. Loving this series.
Thanks Angie, I am really enjoying this series. Currently, I am using the regular It Cosmetics CC cream as a foundation topped with a light dusting of Celebration Foundation Illumination to set. At the salon earlier this week, while my stylist was washing my hair she remarked that I had such beautiful skin. Ha! I don't...but the combo seems to give that illusion! :)
2nd application did look best...and from a distance, it looked nice. Those close ups however, is what I'm trying to avoid. Thanks again for doing this, you are saving me a lot of stress and cash!
Once the ""younger" Utubers said matte and kept their face from becoming oily and never needing to blot I knew I wasnt gonna run out and buy this. I definatly need one that is moisturizing. You are a brave woman for trying this. Maybe consider Mirenesse foundation. I see them on Hautelook and it always pops up on my Facebook feed to try. They have quite a few different kinds so I will let the professional pick out a formula....if you do a Friday test on it.Thanks and have a great weekend
I know this comment is very late in comparison to this video...I've only just started to look for a foundation after a long illness and this one was suggested to me. Doing my research and watching as many reviews on it that i can lol After reading many of the comments i do have to say that the infallible line does have it own specific primer, setting powder and setting spray I can't imagine wearing a foundation without a primer or moisturiser or not set it after applying. Us with older skin do need to care for our skin better with the primers/moisturisers as they provide a boundary between the skin and product keeping it hydrated and healthier while making the most of the product and wear time it gives. Not a professional here just a normal everyday woman trying to look my best now that im feeling healthier 😊👍 Love the way you tried all the different methods to apply this...i plan to give it a try and see how it works Thank you for the review
Thanks Angie, I'm 41 and I've been curious about this foundation. Almost bought it but thanks to you I will not. Definitely matte foundations are not good for mature skin except Tarte Amazonian clay foundation which has a satin to matte finish. Keep bringing us helpful videos. Blessings!
I am 58 with super dry skin and I absolutely love the Pro-Glow version of this Loreal Infallible foundation! Illuminating but not too shiny, very nice. Much better than the matte version for us in the over-50 crowd.
All you had to say was "magnifies wrinkles" and I crossed this one off my list. Really appreciate this series, thank you so much!
I am 44 and this is my favorite foundation -I use a taste brush to apply and it is perfection for me
FYI..EL double ware works very well with the Wayne Goss method. I use argan oil. I use this on my 61 year old skin. Angie you are beautiful and a wealth of information.
I'm 56 and have very oily skin. This foundation has changed my life!
"Let me sit in my hot car to test it.." LOL. Angie, you're the best!! Thanks for your thorough reviews !
Excellent, keep them coming. I rely on your reviews ( as a 52 year old makeup lover with large pores and oily skin). Thanks.

Because it is a lasting dryer foundation, believe it or not, I will also use the NYX "Dewy" set spray to moisten it a little more if need be, but it usually only needs that when I'm not having my visits with Aunt Flo...If ya know what I mean :)
Seriously, I LOVE the options with this foundation.
Hi Angie
LOVING your foundation Friday series!
YES....MAKEUP FOREVER HD IS NEXT!!! That is the one I've been waiting for. Thanks, Angie!!!
This is a brand new foundation, and I am anxious to see a review! Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation. Loving this series!
I love foundation Fridays!!
Sounds like this foundation is an oily skinned girl's dream come true. Unfortunately I have dry sensitive skin. The last thing I need is a foundation that leaves me even drier. Thanks once again for all the work you put these foundations through!
"And for my next trick..." LOL! That was great!
I am so thankful you give these reviews I so appreciate it.
I like foundation Friday and that you are doing the work for us. Thank you so much.
Hello Diane
You are flippin' amazing, saving me money every week!
Oh, and I hope that I will look like you when I'm older! xxx
thank you for being so thorough! you do a great job on the videos.
This foundation is for OILY
skin like mine and is inappropriate for dry skin of any age.
Many makeup artists, i.e., Wayne Goss, say that if you are going to spend on any higher end product,
foundation is where to do it.
I have extremely oily skin and I hated this foundation! You are on point with this review.
Thank you so much for doing these videos. I feel your foundation frustrations!
Thank you, your Foundation Friday videos have become my favorite videos to look out for on RUclips! And thank you for this one, you just saved me money! lol
Your videos are great...been learning from them. it made me laugh when you comment your 5 minutes in your hot car.....!!!!!
I really love this foundation review, and am eagerly looking forward to more. Thanks so much for all the hard work you put into the vids.... it's very much appreciated!
I agree 100 % with this review! I had the exact same (bad) results. Thanks Angie.
U are awsome to experiment so much with this. U have beautiful skin. Thanks for sharing..
I'm 54 with dry to normal skin and I use this foundation with a Real Techniques buffing brush and I get a much better result with my large pores than you are getting. So it's interesting to see the different applications. So helpful. Please do the new Laura Mercier foundation.
So glad for this review. I was thinking of picking this up. Thank you . I love this series
Eugenia Fateeva Those two are both on my wish list for this series!!
hey hun, I heard that mixing the L'Oréal pro glow with the pro matte gives a beautiful satin finish. might be worth a shot for you. leads drying. thanks for the great review!
Julie
Love this series of videos! I'm searching too! Can't wait until you find the one for us mature ladies! 😉👍
Love your detailed foundation reviews.
Thank you for your always through reviews! Big help 😃
Hello Lisa
I have dry skin I was tempted to buy this foundation but no any more thanks Angie for this video
Yes same thing happened with my under eye wrinkles with this product.
2nd application did look best...and from a distance, it looked nice. Those close ups however, is what I'm trying to avoid. Thanks again for doing this, you are saving me a lot of stress and cash!
Love the lipstick shade and your eye make-up!! I think you look great.
BTW - congrats on your new magazine gig!
Thank you for posting this - I was going to try this makeup, but can see it won't be for me. Thanks!
Love your daughter's input! LOL
Doing my research and watching as many reviews on it that i can lol
After reading many of the comments i do have to say that the infallible line does have it own specific primer, setting powder and setting spray
I can't imagine wearing a foundation without a primer or moisturiser or not set it after applying. Us with older skin do need to care for our skin better with the primers/moisturisers as they provide a boundary between the skin and product keeping it hydrated and healthier while making the most of the product and wear time it gives.
Not a professional here just a normal everyday woman trying to look my best now that im feeling healthier 😊👍
Love the way you tried all the different methods to apply this...i plan to give it a try and see how it works
Thank you for the review
Thanks Angie, I'm 41 and I've been curious about this foundation. Almost bought it but thanks to you I will not. Definitely matte foundations are not good for mature skin except Tarte Amazonian clay foundation which has a satin to matte finish. Keep bringing us helpful videos. Blessings!
