    I love the way you handled this Rocky. Very easy to get on here and start blasting people and the track but you stated your case calmly then ended with "no hard feelings" and on a positive note. Well done.

    @PLANBRACING Год назад

    In your experience/time at the races have you ever seen a reflection like that mess up a timing system in the opposite way? In one of my last videos (ended up winning the event luckily) but I had the timing system time me out before I was fully staged in the Semi’s. The track official said that he saw this happen the week before at our divisional race… maybe the time of year and the way the sun sets on the track? Nice video by the way!

    • @TheRockRacing
      @TheRockRacing  Год назад +1

      Hmmm I’ve never seen it the opposite way. Did you actually just time out by time? 😂 I guess I don’t quite understand.
      In my six shooter showdown video, I was fully staged and the red dropped. Maybe I backed out but the human eye couldn’t detect the beam going out 🤷🏻‍♂️ Sucks knowing there can be issues with the timing systems though. And thank you! 👍

    • @PLANBRACING
      @PLANBRACING Год назад +1

      @@TheRockRacing no it never timed out! It was the weirdest thing. The track crew forced replayed the run and as soon as my opponent full staged (I started bumping in) and it just dropped to red in like a second or two. Ultimately they had us re-run which was good. 😂 I dig your videos man! Learned a bunch watching them.

    How do you know other people are holding numbers before you race them?

    • @TheRockRacing
      @TheRockRacing  Год назад

      Really just watching or knowing the person for a while and their tendencies. When you watch you can listen to the cars or check the mph to gauge how much they are holding. Certain tracks also now have a time slip app (like this one) and you can type in their car number and see what they can actually run compared to their dial

    @turbotate8663 2 года назад +1

  • @menoaz
    @menoaz Год назад +1

    Why do you hold numbers if your car is really consistent?

    • @TheRockRacing
      @TheRockRacing  Год назад

      It hasn’t been the most consistent car. At that race, it ranged from a 4.43-4.49. But even if it is consistent, I would recommend holding because it changes the look of the race and allows you to win races you normally shouldn’t. I’m working on a video right now about finish line driving where I talk about it so hopefully get that out soon

    this is what I disliked about drag racing we called it racing the variables, its hard enough to win, however this is what we have to work with, it cost me a division championship, the clocks recorded [on a 8.90 index] a 8.88 at 138 mph. in a dragster [impossible] I had the light, made the first turn out, lost the championship by two points, hard to believe but the guy that won it was the guy I lost to on that run. that's racing, thanks rocky keep the videos coming

    They have had timing issues at map for years you would think they would have called in some NASA engineers to fix their problems but evidently they have not and now they how lost the of million because of it even though I am sure they were sure they had it fixed but when high caliber racers like yourself and nasty nick show up with thousands of laps on your resume and know when time slips are bogges that is when shit hits the fan and uncovers the tracks timing issues such a sad way for map to lose the original home of the OG million.

    • @TheRockRacing
      @TheRockRacing  2 года назад

      NASA engineers 😂😂😂 yea it sucks to see I like the track. I think if they can get it fixed I could definitely see them bringing the og million back there. There were nearly 600 cars in the million if I remember right, and it’s a good track to accommodate that many
