I'll drop one time and that was when I was backing up Chrysler replaced my module And it's still didn't work right it still comes on so I have the same problem as you and mines are 2002
You are probably still under warranty so that is good. I have no firm evidence why these thing fail so frequently but I suspect moisture is the cause. Thanks for the comment.
Have you found the fix I got a 22 ram 3500 and same thing that happened to you is happening for me. Light comes on and off and sometimes takes a good bit to come back on
Have you tried to put the truck in 4 Wheel Drive and verify if it engages or not and the next step would be to replace that plastic part over your axle the actuator I’m guessing that’s what it’s called lotta guys on other videos said that that part is mainly made of plastic so it doesn’t last.

Haven't tried that yet, concerned it will get stuck in 4WD but I'll do that soon. Thanks.
