Not a Maddie fan but honestly you have to admit that she has something that draws your eyes. I can't explain it; it just feels as though she adds little tweaks to each move and makes the entire dance so much more captivating.

What makes a great dancer is not just the technical aspects of dance, but also the ability to connect with an audience and convey story and/or emotion. This is after all, performance art and is as old as humanity. Here you have a live orchestra, live vocalist, live guitar, and live dancers. The overall effect is pure magic. And Maddie leads because she is a natural born leader and picks up quickly/remembers choreography like no one else her age. Not to mention she is a very elegant and magnetic performer. She literally draws your eye. All that matters is that when it ended you were smiling and could feel the magic... Great job to all performers!!!!

That's what I really love about Maddie, her star quality makes you just want to watch her. Her eyes engage you making you feel the story of the dance.
And you're more likely to notice her because she's always from and centre and never at the back

Beautiful and for people asking why Maddies at the front it's simple. The two girls at the back look more alike and are shorter thus creating better symmetry with Maddie in the middle. Plus Maddie is a well known dancer know both to DM fans and to other people as she's been in the Sia videos.

Please, it's because Maddie is the famous one. They know this. Maddie is mainstream, Brynn and Jaycee are not. Most people don't know who they are and would be confused if Maddie was dancing behind either of them.

Brynn and Jaycee are technically superior to Maddie, but Maddie's emotional execution gives her that star quality. This was such a beautiful dance by all three.

Sadly what I see are sub par dancers compared to other studio's especially compared to the studio where Brynn is coming from. Tell me I'm not right.

I can judge the studio and the operator of the studio (Abby) off of what they put out into the world of dance. I don't watch the show so that side of it I can't speak for. I see below average talent coming out of a studio I have to assume it is because they have below average training/instruction. From what I've seen they are on a very amateur level and aspects as basic as flexibility and control they are woefully behind. To me it looks like the kids/parents should be asking for their money back - sadly they'll never get the time back. I'll leave it at that, just my opinion, from what I see.
Ash the Viking Yeah, flexibility and control just isn't there yet for them. Kids in the dance world, such as Brynn, are way more advanced but people who watch the show and that aren't dancers just assume that they are the best dancers. Don't get me wrong they are all beautiful dancers but I easily list so many other studios that could easily win against them... well that is if the show doesn't rig the comp.

This always makes me cry because my aunt passed away In October and she always sang this song to me, and this will be our first Thanksgiving without her we were really close.. Just seeing them dance makes me love dance more because you get to show your emotion. I love the whole dance! especially the ending pose where they laid their heads on Maddie's shoulder. Bravo Girls that was very beautiful!

I wish people would stop saying Brynn could have done better and everything. Yes Brynn is amazing and there is no need to compare the dancers, however Maddie did deserve the featured to spot. Theres something about Maddie that draws you in and makes you want to watch her. She has passion, and power when she dances. That's what makes you love the dance even more. Brynn may be a good technical dancer but Maddie is beautiful to watch and has amazing technique as well. She pulls you in and interacts with the audience. All three dancers are beautiful. They both deserved to be in this dance and they all work very hard.

Found this on my recommendations again! I miss seeing J and B together! I wish that we can travel back to time when Brynn is not part of dance moms yet and just maybe we can see her confidence and strengths again in dancing. Dance moms really ruined her and it is so sad!!! Brynn is one of the best dancers during her time and it is sad that she lost that enthusiasm in dance. Thankfully, Alexa is always there for her! Continue shining Brynn!

Maddie was stunning, she has the power to make the stage hers and she does no-matter who shes working with. She worked hard to be that good and she made a lot of people pleased. She didn't have a normal childhood but she used it to her best ability and made herself work for these types of projects. Even now at almost 20 years old she has made a world-wide name for herself and is still the same Maddie that wanted this and soaked in every moment as if it was her last.

@J Wilson Maddie has got enough credit and recognition. Maddie sure is amazing, but the other 2 are just as amazing or even more so technically. They don't get half the recognition Maddie has got, despite their talent and hard work. So saying that Brynn and Jaycee are amazing takes nothing away from Maddie. There are so many comments saying that Maddie shone in this dance,etc. yet this original commentator had a problem with anyone who praised Brynn and Jaycee. Btw, look at Jaycee's story, and her dances, if you think she's not comparable to Maddie. She actually has struggled more and worked harder than Maddie, who got benefited by the show more than anything.
@J Wilson omg, literally every girl from the show spent hours working just as hard, and the girls from Club dance trained even harder than the girls at aldc. Aldc wasn't that good of a studio compared to Club. And dancing with the stars is more about famous people than best dancers. Maddie was more famous because of the show, that's why she got the lead. Brynn and Jaycee were the best dancers in their age groups, that's why they were selected to perform on stage from among rest of the candidates. And Maddie did get many opportunities simply because of the show.

I suggest you watch the solos of Brynn, Jaycee, Kalani, Tate, etc. that were choreographed by Alexa Moffet of club dance. And listen to Jaycee's story as the 2015 junior best dancer at tda, and her dances after.

Tanya Markova Maddie only beat Brynn once, when they were in the same division. But Brynn got horrible cheesy choreography while Maddie's choreography was amazing, of course she won. But Maddie turned 13 and Brynn was still 12 so they couldn't compete against each other because they weren't even in the same age division. Besides Brynn won the titles as best dancer while Maddie got 4th.

I love Maddie’s emotional execution. Some say it’s exaggerated/over used but just like actors always use their distinctive “faces”, so does she. And I’m glad she exaggerates her emotions because when performing live, your emotion should be seen and felt by everyone. It’s a great way to reach people who don’t have front row seats.
