These questions were horrible and awkward. Shame on VF for asking such invasive, rude and personal questions. Poor Maddie for having to answer these questions but props to her for handling it so well.

She meant she doesn’t miss dance *competitions* (which is what they asked her), not dance itself (she still dances/keeps up training regularly)
I was not a fan of a majority of these questions. They felt invasive and problematic.

I think her truth and some kinder explanations were the key. She did "handle" but not in a manipulative way. She is a kind young lady.
It stinks that Maddie is uncomfortable saying she’s the better dancer, that’s something she should be so proud of but people have made her feel bad about. Where Kenzie can sing Maddie can dance and there’s nothing wrong with that.
This feels a lot more intense than previous videos - it’s genuinely uncomfortable! Maddie seems so intimidated

I don't trust lie detector tests but I think she handled this one to the best of her ability the part when she said she's scared to lie and she's scared of getting in trouble I definitely believe that
That final comment explains much of her demeanor on Dance Moms and subsequent resentment of Abby. I really think Abby exploited that trait within her. She did a fabulous job here

this was one of the weirdest interviews I’ve seen on here. I’ve watched others, and they seem funny and lighthearted. The harshest thing would be a relationship question. But Maddie’s was just back to back brutal questions. I feel so bad for her, she seemed really nervous

Honestly, with these kinds of interviews, certain questions should be off limits, like asking whether her or her sister is the better dancer. Just ask the goofy or innocent stuff.
New Interviewer, I know what she thought she was doing but it did not translate well. It came off as mean-spirited, invasive and catty. Maddie's cool demeanor made it less awkward but she was rude never the less.
