Good point on underslung pillow block bearings, there must be significant vibration on that grinder. Cold weather sure brings out the weak spots in equipment in a hurry. Hang in there young man, spring is coming, every day is one day closer to spring. Thanks for the update sir, appreciate the video and your time making and posting it.

Pretty sure I saw a younger Wade in TV commercial. Defy channel in northern Indiana. Your brow was not as wrinkled as it is now. Responsibility weights on all of us. I have been watching a log house being built near me in north east Indiana. They are using undried logs with machined flats on 2 sides to 1 foot thick. Trailer load after trailer load were trucked in from Wisconsin. Every log had ends and or keys cut in. I assumes this takes a huge commitment in equipment and tooling. Tomorrow will be the seventh and probably the last day to fly logs into place with a crane.
Hey Wade. Local Stave Mill alternates between $25 a load and free loads depending. Not picking on your price, just for reference. I figure its marked free when they got more than they can handl and sold otherwise.
This is why folk wanted you back - life isn't like it is in the movies (or on a lot of RUclips channels !) This is reality and this is why we're here Tater 😉👌🏼
Hey Wade hang in there man. Have you ever used Bruner Bearing out of Louisville Ky.??? They have usually got in stock bearings that other bearing places have never even heard of.
Good ol name for your 592 saw would be slappy. I enjoy your videos an im glad to see your back on youtube. I came from a family of surface miners my pap owned his own surface co. Called anco minning so i can relate to you alot. Keep up great videos god bless
Hey wade the mill I use to work at some of them tie ends we would send in the chipper just have to be careful cause they can get wedged in their don’t know if you thunk of this or not keep you the great work and great vidjas!!!
When you are stuck with 12v in cold weather, voltage drop is a big issue. Many a time jumping a battery in cold weather I could not get enough power across from the donor power to the needy one. Putting a second set of jumper cables onto the primary set let me double the cable capacity and low and behold she turned over. Just a thought when it gets down around zero or lower temp wise.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Glad to see you standing up to maintain your integrity. Hope things are getting better. Wishing you and your family the best.
Thanks Wade for the insite to the timber business surely if it is a husky then you should perhaps call it the Musher, that way it will keep on going when you say it's name just like the dogs, Mush, Mush.
I have seen what your talking about wade ,when I was in business ,the cut throats, every one would come to me and want the cheapest price because there was a cut throat down the road , then with equipment sales , the consumer comes in and wants a tractor at $ 150 over cost ! I'm like, hey buddy you want me and parts here after the sale? I can't run to his place on nothing ....it would mess up the whole cart , I've seen it all in 35 years ..
Yes I can see that. To be honest I've been guilty of going out and buying lesser machinery and getting parts through dealer to fix up my cheap buy. The last loader we bought I went to dealer on though... Thanks for sharing

Those underslung bearing mounts defy logic. A bearing should be upright and bolted down to the top of the steel member so that it can properly support the bearing. The mounting bolts should be running down through the bearing mount to the frame in order to prevent the bearing mount from moving up or sideways. That grinder design should have been checked by an independent mechanical engineer before being approved for production. We have had a scandal here in NZ where a civil engineer was creating false independent reports of his designs.

More things to break, and cost you more money, that’s why! Nothing is designed to last, it’s a bad business model for manufacturers, less profit if it lasts
Hey Wade, how hard would it Beto add a steel support under those bearings and then mount them so they aren’t underslung. From here it looks like a quality simple fix…little steel and a welder… obviously I’m looking at it from a RUclips video so there may be some obvious reasons this can’t be done
