One brave soul can always be an inspiration to another. Coming out has always been a process because it takes a lot of courage to share our true self to the world. Living our truth and embracing ourselves for who we are allows us to freely see the world in vibrant colors knowing that others will paint it with acceptance, patience, and unconditional love.
For our 6th episode, we’re proud to share the coming out journey of one of our mental health champions, Roy.

The production of Holding Space: Voices of Hope was held prior to the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and followed the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Taskforce guidelines. It was filmed during the Modified General Community Quarantine period.
All on-location participants, including 3 crew members, a chaperone, a psychologist, and two on-cam talents, were vaccinated, tested for COVID-19, and practiced minimum health protocols
I was crying watching this video cause i know what it feels like to be like him.. its difficult.. the world is against you and you feel like you are battling every second of you life in every aspects in your life.
Its hard.. i want to share, i want to be free but people too much. Your thinking what they are thinking about you. I gone through anxiety and depression for that.
No one needs to be left behind and for me I WAS LEFT. Im crying while im typing this because i want to share my story, i want to be free but i cant. Its difficult. People judge you, your confidence slowly detoriate your emotional capability.
I want other to know that just be strong. I know we have different experiences in life but be strong no matter what. The world may be harsh to you but be resilient and be strong..

Roy is very brave. It takes a lot of courage to come out at in public pa. Thank you also to Pia for being an ally. You've always been my favourite Miss Universe winner, always true to your words. It's been 6 years na nung nanalo ka sa Miss Universe and I still remember yung winning answer mo at talagang ginawa mo yun. I support. New subscriber here.
It is very true that the term "bakla" or "tomboy" has a negative connotation, which is sad, because those terms should be accepted as what or who they are.
FOR ME...pia the only miss universe from phillipines which i have to say i respect her as miss universe. Even if she not as popular than other winners, but for me, in my era (which means previous winner im not really know them better), i respect her due to her advocacy pre and post miss universe. She truly mean it when she said she want to be miss universe to help people.
