There is a cake setting on my instant pot but seen some other videos showing manual 25-30 minutes and natural release the cake features on mine set it to 40 minutes but setting is medium
I own the 3qt Instant Pot Duo. I will use the smaller size box mixes for cakes in it. MY QUESTION: Do you put a cup of water in the bottom of the Instant Pot Duo before adding the rack and the baking pan? Then cook on pressure or manual setting as normally under pressure? I ask because I thought you always had to have water in the bottom when using the pot-in-a-pot method. Is that correct? In your video I didn't see you add the water or mention doing so. I'm new to using the Instant Pot for baking. Thanks, in advance, for your help and videos.

You can use pressure cook or manual depending on brand you have.

Yes you always need a cup of water for the instant pot to go to pressure. Just like you have mentioned water, then stand then cake mix

@Recipethis thanks. Does it fit a whole cake box in 1 pan? Link says it's 2 inches (50mm tall) is that correct?
