Wow, The depth of his lyrics that goes over a lot of peoples heads is incredible. The wordplay, the lyricism, the flow, the delivery, wether someone likes him or not, man you’ve got to respect the talent, as for all artists. Love the videos guys, appreciate you both!!
There’s a verse, maybe the last one in Right for Me, that always makes me question life and the delivery of his verse on Medicine Man gets me every time. Nice video!!! Ya’ll are my favorite reactors!
Hands down the best reaction videos out there. I’m 37 and there is a misconception out there that youngens have no care for lyrically but you guys break things down beautifully. Great work.
All due respect to Jay Z, I think Eminem was sarcastic or just too humble when he said Jay is better than him... The skillset that Eminem brings is unmatched in rap history. period, and im being honest here no fanboy talk.
Tavoris Myles no, the complexity of the thymes, he literally rhymes the entire verse with “If the shoe fits I wear it,” talks about how his music is perceived and misconstrued, and how it’s so subjective. Then he says how you can draw inspiration from his beautiful music in the same words. You’re in the very small minority thinking Jay matches Eminem
I was 17 when the Columbine school tragedy happened. Then a year later later, Eminem released The Marshall Mathers LP. And I heard the Way In Am for the first time. That song was more than just an incredible piece of Lyricism, and a hard AF track, it’s also the aggression and passion that he spits it with, telling you he means every single effing word, and he’s giving it out with a middle finger. It was also a benchmark of a very specific time in history, a cultural reflection on both the stigma and lack of interest in violence in the inner city and urban schools vs. middle America schools w/ predominantly white student as well as the media and parental groups blaming more hard core music and movies for tragedy committed by mentally unstable kids. This track became a generational touchstone, and it along with that album are true masterpieces. The Way I Am will always be my all time favorite Eminem track as it has significant personal and cultural meaning to me, and when I hear it, it instantly takes me back to those times, all those years ago. Also it’s just a killer, 🔥 track, a perfect song, from all angles, that cadence and flow are impeccable, the multi syllable rhyming is masterful, and he’s spitting TRUTH; incredibly this track has held up for 20 years now. Still sounds 🔥. Here’s my favorite Eminem verse of all time, the 3rd verse from The Way I Am: Sometimes I just feel like my father I hate to be bothered with all of this nonsense, it's constant And, oh, it's his lyrical content, the song Guilty Conscience Has gotten such rotten responses And all of this controversy circles me And it seems like the media immediately points a finger at me So I point one back at 'em, but not the index or pinkie Or the ring or the thumb, it's the one you put up When you don't give a fuck, when you won't just put up With the bullshit they pull, 'cause they full of shit too When a dude's getting bullied and shoots up his school And they blame it on Marilyn (Manson) and the heroin Where were the parents at? And look where it's at! Middle America, now it's a tragedy Now it's so sad to see, an upper-class city Havin' this happenin' Then attack Eminem 'cause I rap this way But I'm glad, 'cause they feed me the fuel that I need For the fire to burn and it's burning, and I have returned .
This was really fun to watch. Super nostalgic, been listening to em since I was a kid and first saw the my name is video and this brought me back. You two are the shit.
Loved the video guys. But y'all are sleeping on his verse in Caterpillar man. I know there's not room for every dope verse he's ever done but the double entendre's and wordplay in that verse is on another level, definitely in his top 10
@@l.5851 MF DOOM has some crazy rhyme schemes sure but Em has just as many to compete. Flow is a lot more subjective and imo Eminem has more flows and better flows. Andre also doesn't have a solo album and Eminem is the biggest rapper with the biggest solo albums.

All comes down to what era of Em your listening too... in Evil twin he says; “Fuck top 5! Bitch I’m top 4, and that includes biggie and pac whore plus I’ve got an evil twin so who do you think that 3rd and that 4th spots for.” Then he drops a song on his latest album called Greatest...
Summa lumma dooma is not just gibberish. It's a reference to JJ Fads track called Supersonic. Which is why he says "lyrics coming at you at SUPERSONIC speed...JJ FAD" right before he starts spitting that verse. Btw, em put Jay above himself 15 years or more ago. Listen to evil twin. "Fuck top 5 bitch I'm top 4 and that includes biggie and Pac whore and I've got an evil twin so who tf you think that 3rd and that 4th spots for?" Now relate that back to his list on till I collapse and you'll see Pac and big are already in spots 3 and 4 .... meaning em put himself and slim shady at 1 and 2. JS

Cool video. I like that you didn't just pick verses from all of his old, most popular stuff. Most people probably wouldn't have anything from MMLP2 other than maybe Rap God. I think Bad Guy is a criminally underrated song, the part after the car goes off the bridge is my favorite. "Toilet's clogged, yeah, cause I'm talkin' a lot of shit but I'm backin' it all up." Dope line. Another song that sort of "climaxes" with Eminem's verse is his feature on Forever. Drake, Kanye, and Wayne all rap over the same beat, but it changes when Em comes in and it's like "oh shit, this guy is different." Other verses I think are kind of underrated are all of Cinderella Man, his feature in My Life (50 Cent), and his feature on That's All She Wrote (T.I.).
Ur knowledge is top notch, I pick up on everything usually but watching ur vids and break downs. I’m constantly picking up lines that went over my head !! Good shit !!!
Rock bottom has that one insane verse prob my favorite when he says back stabbing Deceitful and shady shit just hits me for some reason that whole song is crazy

That last verse of Stan STILL gives me goose bumps (when he says "it was you") to this day, even after hearing it the first time 18 years ago when I was in my 20's. BTW: I agree with ALL of your verses. These are classics. ONe of my favorite songs from Eminem is Spacebound. All verses hit home. And we've all been in that scenario before. Especially the part where when you really like someone.....until you have them. Anyway, I couldn't really pick a verse bc the whole song is relevant to me. It's hard to pick a song, much less a verse.
Really like the verse from his “Not Alike” featuring Royce on the last album. The way like he’s going on mgk was lit, and that shit after “Sub machine gun” was so dope. So aggressive. Marshall on his shit.
Since I'm thousand miles away (India) from this hip hop culture but eminem has been the biggest influencer for me. Here are my top 10 favourite verses: 10) Psychopath Killer 9) Best Friend 8) Chloraseptic remix 7) The Ringer 6) Detroit vs Everybody 5) No Love 4) Lose yourself (first verse) 3) Mockingbird (second verse) 2) Till I collapse (second verse) 1) Bad Guy (third verse+Outro)

Man that songs deep as hell and I listened to that when I was going through a nasty breakup. It helped me to be back in the game and I really respect that song.

Love who knew verse 1. Kill you verse 3 is my fav off that track “I don’t even believe in breathin I’m leaving air in yo lungs just to hear you keep screaming for me to seep it”
Sing For The Moment - Verse 2 “Yet everybody just feels like they can relate, I guess words are a Motherfucker they can be great Or they can degrade, or even worse they can teach hate” Who thinks of that!!?? That line blows my mind every time I hear that song!!

Great work.
his verse in "medicine man" is incredible too 🔥🔥🔥
Em claimed that you shouldn't see someone's colour or skin you can be great without 'em noticing so that's why half of us knows he's a Muhammad Ali. 🔥
Yeahh that was fire. I think Em's verse on "best friend" was fuckin nuts too. Definitely could be in a top 10
@@absent72 I agree. he has so many incredible verses that it's almost impossible to make a top 10
I have a lot favorite em verses but my top five is crimnal 1st verse, stay wide awake 2nd verse, devil's night 1st verse, remember me 3rd verse
I love medicine man but I can’t find it on Spotify? Does anyone know if it’s on there?!
when patiently waiting started playing i couldn't stop rapping along with eminem... this gonna be a good video.
One of my favorites is “no apologies” 1st verse 🔥
Definitely in my top 5
yes that song is a masterpiece
All due respect to Jay Z, I think Eminem was sarcastic or just too humble when he said Jay is better than him... The skillset that Eminem brings is unmatched in rap history. period, and im being honest here no fanboy talk.
I love "Renegade". I love it because of Em! He kills and Jay is just there.
@@kenyanikkiicampbell5628 Dont sleep on Jay. Yeah Em had a better verse but, Jay still did good
GoddaShit Nobody denying that, Jay is a legend but Em always brings the heat and skills when he features with another great MC.
Em didn't have the best verse on renegade. He was just more animated like Nicki on monster
This is wonderful, especially considering Kamikaze just went Platinum. Brought back a lot of memories.
Here’s my favorite Eminem verse of all time, the 3rd verse from The Way I Am:
Sometimes I just feel like my father
I hate to be bothered with all of this nonsense, it's constant
And, oh, it's his lyrical content, the song Guilty Conscience
Has gotten such rotten responses
And all of this controversy circles me
And it seems like the media immediately points a finger at me
So I point one back at 'em, but not the index or pinkie
Or the ring or the thumb, it's the one you put up
When you don't give a fuck, when you won't just put up
With the bullshit they pull, 'cause they full of shit too
When a dude's getting bullied and shoots up his school
And they blame it on Marilyn (Manson) and the heroin
Where were the parents at? And look where it's at!
Middle America, now it's a tragedy
Now it's so sad to see, an upper-class city
Havin' this happenin'
Then attack Eminem 'cause I rap this way
But I'm glad, 'cause they feed me the fuel that I need
For the fire to burn and it's burning, and I have returned
.
How u feel about eminems columbine bars?
Isn’t that the 2nd verse?
This was really fun to watch. Super nostalgic, been listening to em since I was a kid and first saw the my name is video and this brought me back. You two are the shit.
I loveeee ems feature on biggies track dead wrong. Absolutely smooth and crazy
Loved the video guys. But y'all are sleeping on his verse in Caterpillar man. I know there's not room for every dope verse he's ever done but the double entendre's and wordplay in that verse is on another level, definitely in his top 10
I'm so glad I found this channel..
You both really do know your shit. Can't lie, love ya vids
Eminem is the greatest. He sold the most and no one can match his rhyming and flow
@@l.5851 I'm tired of this nonesense convo both of u just stop at the end of the day they're all artists
Em isnt the greatest. There are many better rhymes and many rappers with better flows. Em is too inconsistant
Nas a better lyricist but flow wise ye Eminem is probably the best
@@l.5851 MF DOOM has some crazy rhyme schemes sure but Em has just as many to compete. Flow is a lot more subjective and imo Eminem has more flows and better flows. Andre also doesn't have a solo album and Eminem is the biggest rapper with the biggest solo albums.
@@bruis1527 Nas is not a better lyricist imo. Reply with a bar and I can reply with 10 bars that out do it
I feel you on The Ringer dude shit is beast mode for real
great list, love the fact you had headlights in it, no one gives that song any love i think its one of his best songs. makes me cry everytime i hear it. why cant i find any reaction from you guys on eminem darkness
I have a 12 hour drive tomorrow, I love blasting Eminem to keep myself awake so I’ll try figuring out my top 10 and comment again!
That is my thing :D
Surprised sing for the moment 3rd verse was not mentioned, best Eminem verse in my opinion and one of the best in music. Powerful verse.
The way I am, whole song but 1st verse. And 1st verse on drug ballad is a guilty pleasure of mine.
I could not stop replaying drug ballad when I first heard it that beginning is so damn catchy!!
Drug Ballad top 10 Em song
He also had the best verse on “The Forever Song” Because his when Kanye and Lil Wayne heard his verse they had to take 2 days off to rewrite there verses!!!
yeah. Lil Wayne's verse was also pretty dope on it. Kanye was fucking wack!!!
@@SuperHns Bruh what u on?? Kanyes verse is second best
You guys should react to the MMLP2 if you haven't fully listened to it yet, I watched all your vids on em and logic the past couple days and I love the way you dissect and react to ems insane bars the same way I do and I think you'll really enjoy the lyrical ability and wordplay and rhyme schemes and the CADENCES he fucking uses on MMLP2
Marc Showman that breakdown of the bars would take years and I’d watch it😂😂😂
You really think that those guys didnt listen to every eminem song out there? Id doubt that

Well you know Marshall is a humble guy so he had to put someone above him on his list of greats and JayZ was the lucky winner lol
Yup. You got to respect him, he has always paid homage, he is a student of the game. And if you ask Em in a different day, he will say no one is better than me 😁
@@lewzah yeah although he does love JayZ its Redman that is his favorite
Lori McKinney i thot 2pac & biggie were before jay?
Lori McKinney he puts himself 10th RedMan was number 1 on his list.
Still come back to this occasionally. Still love it.
I love you guys! Y’all are such a pleasure to watch. ❤️
Can’t thank you guys enough for introducing me to Headlights and Patiently Waiting 🔥 🔥
"Fuck top 5 bitch I'm top 4 and that includes biggie and Pac whore and I've got an evil twin so who tf you think that 3rd and that 4th spots for?"
Now relate that back to his list on till I collapse and you'll see Pac and big are already in spots 3 and 4 .... meaning em put himself and slim shady at 1 and 2. JS
I super appreciate this post. I heard super Sonic one time and heard the end and I was like damn that sounds like Eminem's verse in rap god. And I was like wait... It is haha
That’s bullshit tho because em came out and said who he thinks is the best artist of all time and named like 10 artists and didn’t include himself
Loved this video guys, really appreciate it. You guys selected some rare Shady songs, like the bad guy verse, headlights (nobody ever mentioned this song), and all the other classics that people sometimes forgot about it.

Wow, thanks for this video guys, like I literally went through all my memories from before , what’s amazing for me is how Em and Jay-Z can in evoke so many memories! One of my Favorite verses from Em Is the say what you say third verse.
“And it's back and forth all day, like Red and Meth I joke when I say I'm the best in the booth But a lot of truth is said in jest And if I ever do live to be a legend I'ma die a sudden death Five mics in The Source? Ain't holding my fucking breath But I'll suffocate for the respect’ Fore I breathe to collect a fucking check”
also in one of his freestyles he says “ you don’t want to fuck with a guy who jumps out of a plane just to give the Statue of Liberty high fives”
“I am as good at keeping a promise like Nostradamus “
1000000% agree that line by em where he says I’ll suffocate for the respect’ fore I breathe to collect a fucking check. Is better then anything any other rapper has ever said

Love coming back to these videos. Not much I enjoy more than Eminem being appreciated lol
This is brilliant....you made me want to go and listen to every Eminem song 😍😍

I dont know how many times I have watched this video. You guys are amazing. Need more videos from you guys!
Really like the verse from his “Not Alike” featuring Royce on the last album. The way like he’s going on mgk was lit, and that shit after “Sub machine gun” was so dope. So aggressive. Marshall on his shit.
