@@yep.fishing overexcited during the fight. A rat bream is an exaggeration, but dudes be moaning and huffing and puffing.. I have to turn the sound down so the missus doesn't think I'm watching something sus. Meanwhile old mate here hooks a freakin brute sized golden on light gear and barely breaks a sweat
Yeah those goldens are great fun on light gear, I caught one a few years ago shortly after moving to Qld using 8lb braid & 15lb leader (mind you, I thought it was a silver initially). The first run from any trevally gets the heart pumping for sure! 👍 Check out Episode 7 on my RUclips channel, video shows the battle I had with my golden.
You guys seriously kick arse, in the Trev. department. You catch one every Month bigger than the biggest one I’ve ever caught. Yeah my biggest one shameful, won’t even reveal. Often target them with lures, mainly shallow diving hardbodies. Getting a few undersize ones, find they still give a good account for themselves.
Getting around fishing the Mid North Coast, hitting Estuary systems like the Camden Haven, and some Breakwall scenarios. Often using the new range of Daiwa Double Clutch shallow divers. Is there anything in the retrieve I can do to maximise my chances? Luckily I’m actually getting onto a few keeper Tailor. Finding that first light period the most productive.
@@justinadams5159 Cheers mate. Double Clutch's are definitely a great lure and I would recommend a fast retrieve, but plastics and micro jigs seem to work best for me. Micro jigs and slugs always work well around the groynes using similar retrieves to the ones seen on my channel. Small Jigs and plastics will also work well in the rivers, but most of all getting to know where the fish are and what they like in the systems you're fishing will help catch more fish.
It's not always about people liking or disliking your videos. I live interstate away from my family & friends, so I put videos on my RUclips channel so that they can watch & feel like they are there with me on my fishing adventure. If people choose to like or dislike my videos, well then they have that right too!
I appreciate your chill.. so many youtubers hook a rat bream and sound like their passing a kidney stone
Hahahah, cheers
What do you mean? They whinge about the small bream or get too excited?
