You seem to be well informed about everything here. So far you are the guy to watch and get me hooked up properly. Thank you for your assistance. I'm looking forward and can't wait to have it all setup and be able to actually listen in and hopefully listen to both sides of a conversation? Wow wee it's not happen yet since I haven't started yet but I think I have everything I need to begin and with your help it just might be the day? Wish me luck?
Thanks for uploading these videos they have really helped me.. I would love to see a video on NBFM I cannot get the channels to work on that setting.. just my local public service analog radios..
HI sir thanks for taking the time to explain everything about what to do and how to do it i was trying for two weeks watching other guys videos to get my SDR to work with no luck . D after watching your videos for two hrs i am very please to say that i have my SDR working is this system with one SDR or two SDR and why some guys are using 2 SDR dongle as i said before great job THANKS
can it handle 3 VCOs? I have 2800 talkgroups here in Denver, I just got the XTR nooelec one, and have the smarT nesdr and the blog v3 kind as well. I changed the serial numbers on all 3, im thinking it may work, will try when i get home, also, do you know a better way to isolate certain talkgroups other than muting them in the aliases? I want it to only let in the ones I want in, rather than all of them at once and its so odd to me that LEOs will encrypt their dispatch coms but have the mutual aid channels where they work with federal LE and task forces tracking drug dealer drops unencrypted haha
I seem to be stuck in an endless loop with the Batch file in the Bin folder. Keeps extracting the same thing over and over again. Oh my. Why can't it ever be easy...
Does anyone know what file the programs saves your lists in? I spent hours building a nice very custom P25 list and was hoping to be able to copy or export the save and put it on another computer.
Did you find the files? If you right click the icon and open file location it will take you to the main folder with all subfolders including the library . Or it should anyways
I just started using this program and I'm trying to figure out how to monitor just one talk group which is the paging talk group and to log the tones used for the two-tone paging for each different department and each different Chief and each different siren for each different department I see the tone come up at least one of the two tones comes up when the talk group becomes active it shows a call is active and on the left it shows the tone but I haven't figured out how to have it monitored just that talk group and ignore all the rest and how to log and record the audio and the tone for each transmission Can you do a video where you cover just these topics ? I'm trying to create a spreadsheet with all the departments for the county and all of the tones that they use Thank you
Hi, thanks for the video I have a question, will a program run on my Windows 10 computer? 32bit / 2G Does it open alg-EAS coded channels Please, I want an answer from you, sir
I wish someone had a tutorial on the Install Guide/Steps for SDR++ on MacOS.... IT just doesn't exist. I would be willing to make it, if I could figure it out.
Hello! I’m from KY too! Do you program scanners for people! I live in Owensboro, approx 2 hours from Louisville. My 1st scanner & I am soo very lost on everything! Lol I bought an Uniden BC75XLT. Didn’t know anything about the scanners either. I just bought it on a whim when I saw them. So I hope this is a good one? I apologize for my lack of knowledge on everything & I hope ur close, I would be willing to pay you to set this up for me. Thanks
With that scanner there are a few things to listen too but here soon last time I heard the county is going to what we call a trunking system which will require some 1 or more SDR’s like in this video or a scanner that starts around $200. With your scanner you can listen to airplanes railroads and possibly a few businesses.
I also live in Owensboro and I've been listening to scanners most of my life. The scanner you have will currently only work to receive the VHF frequencies of the sheriff and county fire departments, but for not much longer The city police and fire use a 800 MHz phase I trunk system, which now also broadcasts the sheriff and county fire as well. Sometime early next year the county is upgrading to 800 MHz trunked and will stop using their VHF frequencies. They will also be adding three new towers so I suspect they will be simulcasting and are purchasing a phase II system, although at this time I'm not sure if the city system will be a part of that simulcast system. I use a couple of older digital scanners and receive the city and county agencies just fine, for now. I also configured OP-25 (it's similar to SDRTrunk, but only runs on Linux OS) on a laptop just in cast their entire system goes simulcast since my scanners are too old to adequately decode simulcast transmissions and my scanners definitely can't decode phase II, but OP-25 (and i believe SDRTrunk) can handle both systems without any problem. If you go to radioreference.com then go to the forums and scroll down to the Kentucky section, there are multiple comments from many of us on the new Daviess County radio system. A digital scanner to receive Owensboro's current system runs about $400 and up while one to receive a simulcast phase II system runs $800 and up (mostly the Unication G4/G5 and Uniden SDS 100/200). If you're good with computers, you can purchase a RTL-SDL dongle on Amazon and build your own using OP-25 or SDRTrunk using an old computer for less than $100 total or a Raspberry Pi 4 for less than $200 total. If you want to program your BC75XLT, you can download a software program called ARC75 or watch one of several RUclips videos on how to do it.
Why the hell can't we have install scripts? I wasted a whole day following different sets of instructions and installing dependencies. None of the git zips include.sh files despite the instructions being to ./ Them.
Don't know why but the audio is very hard to hear. And you talk a little fast. I have to pause and back up constantly to keep up with you. Can barely hear what your saying.
unbelievable on how bad and confusing is this software GUI. it could at least allow us to click on the waterfall and inspect the signal. having to setup a playlist before you can test anything is very cumbersome.
I can see now where I see at least 3 parts to this. You basically talk to much in this video. Most people KNOW what an SDR radio is, and most people know the basics of stereo vs mono sound. Leave that stuff out! n Too many other things you were rambling on about that you didn't need to do. If someone is here, they more than likely already have an SDR radio and know what to do with it basically. We ARE here to see how to set one up so we can hear AP25 transmission however, so concentrate more on that, than the basics that we already know.

How do I setup an adiadditionrtl-sdr dongle?

Can SDR trunk can be Used with a SDR Play RSP DX or RSP duo, have Two Receivers Built in the SDR!
How do you turn off the static and only receive Transmissions only when you're actively playing a channel

Can this do P25 phase 2?

Just a ? I know 2 SDRs are recommended but how many at a single time does the software support? Like could I run 6 SDR and get better results

Hi, thanks for the video
I have a question, will a program run on my Windows 10 computer?
32bit / 2G
Does it open alg-EAS coded channels
Please, I want an answer from you, sir
Nothing can decrypt AES encrypted channels. You're just simply out of luck there.
I wish someone had a tutorial on the Install Guide/Steps for SDR++ on MacOS.... IT just doesn't exist. I would be willing to make it, if I could figure it out.
i have the driver installed but the program dont see my dongle….
For some reason I cant figure out how to locate the jmbe library its not finding it and i cant locate it on my pc
Should be in the settings page with the newer versions you should be able to build the JMBE library all within the program
Im not getting ANY sound nor can I zero in on a frequency. its working otherwise?
Right click on the speaker icon in the main window to change your sound output hopefully that should fix having no sound
@@MAndNGamesV3 Thank you. There was no audio due to improper setup. But your video helped me. Thank you.
@@Cristasphoto how did you manage to get audio working?
@@billybob845 update jmbe
Yeah my JMBE is updated correctly but still can’t hear sound. Everything is set correctly to “listen” and sound icon is on etc etc. Still no sound?
Great video, looking forward to some future videos on this software. Thanks
Part 2 will be uploaded by the end of the day

Doing two systems at one time,, Makes sense, that's why confused people stay confused.
Right?...
btw you was wrong about fm narrow
alot of digital is done on fm narrow
