Bumblebee was such a great movie the fact they had the Autobots and Decepticons have their G1 and tied it into the Bay movies that would timeline wise come after it was done so well.

gotta hand it to travis knight for perectly capturing a cute/badass bumblebee taking inspiration from both michael bay and g1 transformers. in my opinion his design is perfect :)

I like Bumble Bee, I like him for he may not be the best fighter among the autobots, he may not be the most badass looking bot, but he has the heart of a warrior and the will to take responsibility for his mission. Now I have to watch this movie.
this was the most emotional and heart touching transformers film. idc about the models of the transformers in this film because the story is pure gold.
The thing I liked most about this movie is that I knew who I was looking at. The Bay-bots looked so alike and busy and it was so hard to focus on just one point of them. Bumblebee, you could tell from a glance who was Arcee, Cliffjumper, Ratchet, Starscream, Soundwave. That made it allt he more enjoyable in the end. I want more Transformers movies like Bumblebee, because it feels like Transformers for the big screen done right.
For me it isn't even the designs (or rather not just them, I do prefer them), the actual fights are so much better. From the Choreography and Cinematography making it clear who is doing what, how its progressing and who is in a position of advantage and when right down to them actually feeling like there are stakes. The "Bayhem" in the others is just a huge mess of shaky cam, rapid zoom angle changes, cut after cut and so long they get boring.

I want to say they should've started with this design in the first place but I really like the original live action movie design. optimus, dinobots, bumblebee look so cool. And also according to last knight bumblebee was here during world war 2 so this prequel doesn't follow suit.

Sadly its a reboot, iirc I think they've stopped with the Bay verse. And I agree with the other guy, I find these designs simple and rather boring compared to the Bay films. But I understand that they look like this to be more close to their gen 1 apperances.

Blitzwing was very easy to confuse with Starscream before the movie came out because of his color scheme. Otherwise, I agree.
