Bumblebee was such a great movie the fact they had the Autobots and Decepticons have their G1 and tied it into the Bay movies that would timeline wise come after it was done so well.
Hey mate, you are on a really wrong track here. Th bumblebee movie and the upcoming TF ROTB both are a full reboot to the series. In the bayverse bee arrived to earth during ww1. Here bee comes to earth in 1970s ig. Not sure

The thing I liked most about this movie is that I knew who I was looking at. The Bay-bots looked so alike and busy and it was so hard to focus on just one point of them. Bumblebee, you could tell from a glance who was Arcee, Cliffjumper, Ratchet, Starscream, Soundwave. That made it allt he more enjoyable in the end.
I want more Transformers movies like Bumblebee, because it feels like Transformers for the big screen done right.
For me it isn't even the designs (or rather not just them, I do prefer them), the actual fights are so much better. From the Choreography and Cinematography making it clear who is doing what, how its progressing and who is in a position of advantage and when right down to them actually feeling like there are stakes. The "Bayhem" in the others is just a huge mess of shaky cam, rapid zoom angle changes, cut after cut and so long they get boring.
Blitzwing was very easy to confuse with Starscream before the movie came out because of his color scheme. Otherwise, I agree.
@@YouKnowMeDuh I think it is a set up that he used to be a seeker whose body type looks the same as starscream, in the sequel they will revive him by combining him with dropkick and shatter then we will get a triple-changer blitzwing that we used to know.

I want to say they should've started with this design in the first place but I really like the original live action movie design. optimus, dinobots, bumblebee look so cool. And also according to last knight bumblebee was here during world war 2 so this prequel doesn't follow suit.
All vehicles designs came from megaton. So they will look basic
I have to disagree The action version of bumblebee is to simple and basic I like this version better he is simple but he is simple enough that he is not dark color like with the action version This version of bumblebee is nostalgic and personally I could watch a whole movie of Autobots and Deceptacon’s in cybertron only but hey this is all my opinion.
Sadly its a reboot, iirc I think they've stopped with the Bay verse.
And I agree with the other guy, I find these designs simple and rather boring compared to the Bay films. But I understand that they look like this to be more close to their gen 1 apperances.
