The Psychedelic Furs are a British new wave band founded in London in February 1977. Led by singer Richard Butler and his brother Tim Butler on bass guitar, the Psychedelic Furs were one of the many acts spawned from the British post-punk scene. Their music went through several phases, from an initially austere art rock sound, to later touching on new wave and hard rock.
As much as I enjoy this , I prefer to watch the original as I knew it in my youth all those years ago . Some bands I want them to remain young in my mind . The 80s , the best years of music !
I’m with u on this one - this live version wasn’t very good - much prefer the OG video with them playing in the water - such a classic video

Empirical. I love the way the Guitarist embraced, cuddled, & Loved the Music he played & didn't feel required to shine any of his own Jewelry on it & thus He did! The Drummer was also perfect as he Fed on the Music like Tiger eating its full energy & feeding on it as fuel & food. I'd like to see them team up with Future Islands & bring a joint effort out. Like The Cure & that other Band did.

One of the best bands ever, and easily best band of the 80s, England or the US. Of course best 80s band could only be English. Only Pixies (maybe a few others) come to mind from the US. (EDIT added later: also Hüsker Dü.)

Voice is great with the base but the guitar just ain't hitting like it should without John on guitar.
