Lucas Burnley's Kwaiken design has been a breakout success for Boker! The new Blade HQ exclusive smooth carbon fiber version improves on an already proven design, adding hi-tech materials and the new flipper feature for quicker deployment. The intuitive operation and the added security make the carbon fiber Kwaiken a real treat.
This exclusive model features stunning smooth carbon fiber scales which gives the knife a custom look and feel without the price. The blade has a custom smokewash finish and the upgraded VG-10 steel. The flipper opener is paired with an IKBS pivot for smooth action. Limited, serial numbered run.

I saw the CF Kwaiken on Friday and I ordered by Saturday, which is something I rarely do, that is buying a knife with in a day (if not week) of first looking at it.
I got a Micarta Kwaiken a little bit after they came out and still really enjoy it. I saw the G-10 one come out and it did not speak to me at all, I feel that Micarta is a superior material to G-10. Then the Ti came out, I thought about it, but something just did not click with me. But when I saw the CF one, it just seems right.
This is like a perfect romance story!
nathaniel wren hahaha yeah... but if anything the Kwaikens are me cheating on my Kershaw Skylines, the only other model of knife I own more than one of.

Did they ever correct the issue where the tip of the blade can catch on your finger on your finger while it's closed?
is the difference between this limited and usual version the filaments parallel to the handle on this one and skewed ones on usual version? any other difference?
I'm pretty sure the Titanium Kwaiken still has the AUS-8 steel. It's a beautiful knife though. I have that one and just received this new CF/VG-10 Kwaiken. Loving this one as well.
The did make the ti in aus-8 but have now moved to vg-10 in all new stock

And is the titanium kwaiken really that heavy? Is carbon fiber version much better?

A very beautiful simplistic knife, but it needs some gimping, and a finger grove to give a little traction. Otherwise a good looking knife, just missing a few nice touches.
I swear bokers never come with the blade centered..
just got this knife in today, and yup.. still not centered for whatever reason...and the action feels kinda sandy too for it to be an IKBS, maybe I just have to break it in...AND the blade edge is ground a little unevenly...honestly kinda disappointed at the fit and finish. But then again, I guess I should have seen it coming from all the off-centered bokers that I've previously owned.
The CF does looks pretty perfect in person though.
