Happened to catch this MNT just a couple of days after returning from my own first Camino and bought Cassandra's book after watching that clip with her at Mont Blanc! Already can't wait to go back and use her tips on my next Camino, whenever that is. 😄
Wish I had seen this before our Camino! Great advice, but if you are deliberating going, just go. We made no reservations in advance, we always found a place to stay, Saint James (Santiago) will provide. Best experience of my life.
I walked the Camino Portugués coastal last October 2022. This takes me back to that wonderful experience. I would love to walk the Camino Francés one day.
Did I hear your comment that while on the Camino de Santiago, Francis you filled your entire water bottle/platypus at the wine fountain on the walk? I hope not as this would be what the typical Tourist Camino walker does that is so wrong to do by taking tooooo much and others will not have the opportunity for the expected small drink.
