Would this be the same process for the right side case replacement? Meaning could you leave the crank, transmission and internals sitting in the left side case and put a new right side on?
I do appreciate the response. I had a 450 at the time I made the comment. I just tried it without knowing if it would work and found out it would. I sold the bike still running after I put it back together, not sure what happened with it since then. Just thought I’d throw the story out there
Hello I currently have a damaged left half.. a piece broke that holds the timing chain guide.. I bought a new case set, but I'm trying to get that piece welded on and maybe build 2 engines .. my question for you is, did your new half match the other side half? I hear that you cannot use different case for themselves. That they are a married set .. any thoughts or comments on that.
Hello I’ve herd the same but I have swapped with other case half’s and it seemed to work just fine. I’ve had a local shop quote me on swapping one of the case half’s as well. So I think it should be just fine but I’m not a professional so I can’t say for sure 🤷🏻♂️
How much it will be for that job I got just the same problem and do you work for other people atv or just for yours if you do I would like to send you my
That was a job I did for a customer. It would come out to roughly 1000$ in labor and customer buys parts. I’d do it for others but if your not local it makes it difficult
Did you have issues with the new case? A lot of people make a big deal about mis matched cases. I need to replace my right case.
dont do it get matching sets
What is that cover is called

Hey I don’t have Instagram anymore. I’m sure I’ll end up getting it back soon tho.
