You need to get into something like an evo or Impreza. Light weight 400bhp manual. Proper drivers cars. These auto boxed sports cars are not for drivers, point and go will never get the best out of a car. Stop worrying about the latest interior update or facelift and get back to basics.

I dont care what the reviews at the time said, i always think the GTR is very bad in many ways, especially on corners and reliability!! This first time i drove one many years ago, was few minutes after i drove a R34 V-Spec II, and the R34 is so much better in all aspects !!
this upload is a turn-up for the books, hopefully we'll see this as a continuation & future formatting of content.. ie adding nice music, scenery shots etc it still needs some tweaking but its heading in the wright direction.... regarding teh cars handling, its a surprise... I'd suspect somethings amiss, as the GTR has nice tight steering & is great fun on out twisty B-roads so it should be fantastic on the roads shown driven on etc

When the battery is not charged, the carbon in the ignition coil is exhausted, so just replace them and the car will work again. BUT first check that the cable to the ignition coil is firmly attached.
I think it was a tragic mistake to change the paddles to being on the wheel, particularly on car with no back up shifting from the lever. I like the fixed ones on my 2015. Also, I have no idea what's up with your GTR but the car leaves others for dead in terrible conditions. That was literally it's design brief!
@@alexlam24 Tyres would be the first thing I'd look at. They look like Michelin which are usually excellent but hard to see any more than that. You'd have hoped in a 12 min video there would also be some driving footage but there's not so it's very hard to judge why Paul is finding the GTR the "wrong car" in what should be it's absolute peak conditions.
Facelifted GT-R ('17 onward) is known to be less focused and less track-oriented, basically more of an actual GT. And no, in comparison tests GT-R has never been that good in wet - even though it has AWD, big weight and 55/45 weight distribution make it a bit floaty and not that easy to put the power down. As people have mentioned above some performance-oriented tyres aren't good for wet or even intermediate conditions.
I used to love what you do on your channel cos you were so different from the other uk RUclipsrs, in terms of modifications. The AMG Gts , M3 and C63 were such cool cars cos I think you really showcased your love for them through the mods you did. I think if you could get some proper mods on the GTR, you’ll start to fall in love with it again. Most of the people who give the GTR slack don’t really understand/prefer mods imo. So do what you do best, and mod the hell out of it 🤣👌🏽
Paul. I would worry less about the battery situation and more about the fact that at 1'45" into the video, you pulled out of the carpark and drove on the wrong side of the road! For a minute there I thought you were back in the UK (so did you I guess!). If you make a habit of that, a battery will be the least of your problems - must have been the 'Grenade' caused a rush of blood to the head! I would have definitely cut that bit out of the video....or re-filmed it. Its a shame that you seem to be falling out of love with the GTR....it is a big car I suppose. You would have been in heaven driving a GT3 I guess.
Fun video but very frustrating that you didn’t actually elaborate what was wrong with the car ‘when pushing on’ (or trying to) . We weren’t there remember :)

It wont put me off buying one, i love R35’s, but it aint no nimble track toy that it needs to save 5 kgs on fitting a stick rather than a hydraulic strut, just looks cheap

Not sure if you are an exotic car fan or a Nissan fan but you should sell it amd get a 400z in the UK and make it the GTR killer. I think that would be great content since you'll be the first.
Simply put you don’t know how to drive the car and how to set it up for your purposes. It’s not the car. With all the cars computers doing most of the work, the rest is up to you. I’d seagest you go to a high speed driving school to get the best out of the car and yourself. I enjoy my best fast driveing in the rain due to the setup and tyres that I have. Get to enjoy your car.

Here’s an idea! Try changing the battery when your mechanic does a stress test on the battery and it fails.

@@gazman9468 Cup 2s for example aren't very good for these conditions while 4S's are one of the best, difficult to judge it like that, I guess.

I’ve needed to buy many batteries in my time, however I’ve rarely needed to drive to Monaco to replace one.
GTR is still a top performer till this day.
