Kevin is by far my favourite shark. He always makes the most creative deals and has a great sense of humour.
They aren’t really creative. They are complicated in order to trick people into bad deals. It’s been proven that he’s just trying to rip people off without them knowing

@@oldnite3414 You haven’t seen the clip in which Kevin tries to rip a guy off with a long offer and then he calculates it and realizes he’s just losing more money? Kevin most definitely makes his deals complicated to trick naïve entrepreneur.
@@creaperreaper6676 possibly, most of his deals are pretty simple to understand tho. If they didnt understand it, they could ask for him to clarify or quite often another shark will sum the deal up for them. On top of that, the business owners know what they are doing, they have to know these numbers, know the ins an outs of business lingo if you're gonna run a successful company. Kevin might make money off his deals with his loans or royalties but inevitably he makes the products much much bigger, and in return the owners make a lot more money off of it.
These guys are actually genius, they ALREADY knew they wanted Kevin's help with the design firm and came in at 2.5% specifically implying they wanted a royalty deal and they got the exact shark and deal they wanted. Talk about knowing what you want, coming up with a plan and executing

@@antoniovega2693 Did you watch till the end of the video? It was the EXACT deal they wanted with the EXACT shark that they wanted as a strategic partner. You're not going to get that strategic partner without giving something up and it's peanuts compared to how much Kevin could grow not just Vabroom but the entire company.
Irregardless of whether you think it's a good deal or not, they went into the tank with a goal and got exactly what they wanted. That's something that the vast majority of entrepreneurs on Shark Tank have been unable to do, and they did it with only 1 Shark remaining which as we know gives the Shark impeccable leverage that they overcame with their plan.

This is actually genius. Everyone who has ever swept dirt and dust knows no matter how many times you swipe that last line of dust is not going onto that dust pan.
What about the Dyson vacuums tho? It has bristles for loose substrate and is light and has a docking station. It has modules for carpet and hard floors. I cant see my self picking this over that unless i was price conscious.

@@jamesfair9751 well i actually used it for vacuuming surfaces of all types. I used the mini tube for couches and furniture and the long tube for floors and ceilings. It pretty much allowed me to vacuum any surface i need to.

Most Pitchers seem to fear Kevin a bit. When he actually does offer a lot of good deals and really hustles for the people he invests in. It's cool that these guys recognised this.
It seems to me like he plays in to the "scary ruthless businessman" persona on the show. Part if it is probably totally real, but yeah, once the façade sort of comes down you can see he's not messing around.

Its crazy to see how the tank has changed over the years. I remember the early shark tank days when a company coming in with a multi million dollar valuation was rare and people offering less than 10% equity were essentially laughed at. Now that seems like the norm. Even more interesting that in this case the valuation isnt even that crazy (Id legit buy this broom, ngl)
Well, there is much bigger deals (and sales) now compared to early seasons. That's part of the reason. Those guys were selling 5 million per year of these, it was unheard of when you watched those early seasons. So obv valuation and % have to move some direction.
I'd for sure buy this product at a lower price point, although I think the price point is a fair one. I just don't have much use since my apartment is carpeted
$60 for a vacuum broom made in China with no spare parts and I guarantee it's gonna fail or get clogged up and I'm sure it has a tiny, underpowered motor.
A big reason is that companies used to have to give a large percentage of themselves to NBC to get on the show. So successful companies were much less likely to go on. Now that they don't have to do that, successful companies can go on without fear.

The pressure sensing makes this more complicated and also repairs in long-term use.. Just conventional button at handle would be great and also decreases the cost..

If you've ever broomed before you know this wont be very practical since you cant tilt it too much or go too hard otherwise the vaccum part would break. This is one of those products that you use once or twice and never use again

This was more about securing their success than it was about trying to keep as much of their business as possible to make as much money as possible. They made a good decision in my opinion. Id love to get to work with Kevin "Mr. Wonderful" O'Leary. I would feel very confident in the increase in exposure and sales that he would be able to provide.

I have one at home and at my business and it’s the best. As a daycare owner, it helps with daily cleaning after the children. Whenever I pull it out the children playfully run and scream……run here comes the vacuum broom😊. Great product.
