    Prep Deck won the Amazon Launchpad Innovation Grant and the Innovator of the Year award in 2021. 2021 sales did exceed $10 million. The company is currently worth $17 million. He really did make the best decision.

    I like that the Sharks realize when to go out when the entrepreneur has enough sales to support themselves or when their equity ask would be too much for them. People say they only invest when sales are very high, but this is a prime example of when they save their money for people that actually need it.

    One of the professional entrepreneur on shark tank. If he took the offer Kevin will just be draining money off his business, with a net profit of 500k there is no way he could pay back the loan with 9.5% interest. It will be a massive loss for him.

      I respect her transparency here. She’s basically saying in order to be motivated to throw in her full effort, she’d want to be a quarter-owner. Since this business is already well-established with a lot of sales, she admitted right away that becoming a quarter owner is unreasonable in this case, so she bowed out on her own. This was perfectly reasonable, and shows that she respected the business and didn’t want to insult the owner by offering an outrageous deal.

      @@mikaahoni1097 true but 25% seems excessive. That lowers there evaluation by 7million. 15% would be a more acceptable rate. It’s not like their need a totally startup structures. I’m just used to seeing 25% on companies with no sales or totally revamp.

    update: currently in business and company valued between 7 and 10 million dollars. now have different sized prepdecks to choose from, ranging from $40 to $269. product manufactured in california.

    I actually own one of these prep decks and it has helped so much, especially with recipes that need to come together quickly. The trays have nice lids that you can store in your fridge too. I really love it.

    He just dropped his customer acquisition costs with this appearance. This Sharks missed big, this guys essentially semi pro prep station which included tools and storage that is easily folded and mobile don't realize that this product not just has the potential to be in households but also as kitchen equiptment as well, and the mobile part makes it great for catering and BBQs and cookouts etc. The fact that they have that many sales with only being USA based in pretty crazy, this company does have the potential, not just for this product but other functional kitchen organizational tools.

    Lori was banged on. This reminds me 100% of how a taco truck/bar (or any food truck really) has behind the counter or on the side of the stove. I bet professional chefs must have something similar if not the same for prepping or storing their ingredients before putting everything together for the dish.
    They just made it pretty, functional for every day home cook, and compact. Good for them.

    What I forget to realize sometimes too is that having these businesses come on Shark Tank is alone already a big win, because even if they don’t get a deal they just got massive advertisement for their brand as at least hundreds of thousands of people see them.

      @@jdubz125 as someone who love to cook, no its not. I've used one before and know several people that have used it. We all hated it. It's more awkward to clean than just a set of bowl and a cutting board. The containers are also at a weird size.

    Not in my kitchen! I get everything out and ready before I start cooking. My utensils, pots and skillets are put on the stove so I can add the food in them and I wash dishes as I go so there's very little cleanup after dinner.

    Millions in sales doesn't always mean you'll get a shark in an awesome deal. Sharks are top of the food chain and you've got to pay a premium. Nobody got hurt here though which doesn't happen too often in Shark tank! All parties were respectful of each other.

      Sometimes the sharks should concede a little. They're absolutely ridiculous sometimes. They've ended up turning down several deals that not only met but exceeded the entrepreneurs projections. They've lost A LOT of money by being greedy at times.

    In the end I am still not sure what the prepdeck does, you still need to make the same ingredients and quantities it doesn't save anytime or cost or cooking.

      I was expecting it to really cut down on the work. Like be pre-made food in a bin, already set to go, and you just put the ingredients together and cook the protein or something of that nature. This barely reduces work or clean up at all.

    He's a watcher of shark tank like he said he had it on his vision board. He knows to have leverage he needed great sales. He did exactly that. I was surprised by Mark. Kitchen is full of gadgets. If they looked at it that way. He's a money making machine
