So I went on a walk every day since the first of January (about 1 hour and 5km a day). I changed my eating habits step by step and I feel way better and lost a little weight. Just wanted to share this because I am proud of myself. ♡

I lost 23 Kgs doing just that. My stamina kept increasing so I'd find excuses to get out of the house and walk even though I'd already done my hour. I didn't change my diet (Indian food is already healthy, its just that I wasn't burning anything off when I didn't move as much) but I changed my dinner time to 6pm. I'd eat nothing after that. In the morning I'd remember to have a big breakfast. It felt so good when I had to change so little that my brain didn't keep finding excuses to cheat.

Especially when we’re eating something super yummy I wish i could handle a couple more bites because the food is just so good! But i also always have leftovers for the next day ;)

SMALL changes yes!! I was following so many influencers who cut out fast food/soda/meats/etc all at once to lose weight or get fit and if it worked for them, that's great. But LITTLE changes. Slow and steady! I've slowly cut out soda since October, tripled my water intake, and now I crave water??? hello??? Also, it's so nice to be following someone who didn't start out athletic. Hecking love your journey. And Greg. What a great man he's been to your life! Happy for you

Being comfortable in the gym is so important. I notice whenever i don’t go at my usual time (5am) I am extremely uncomfortable. I am used to the people that are there at 5am, I like that there is max 12-15 people including me at that hour & I’ve made friends with the girl who runs the front desk. I have went at 1pm and at 6pm before and I hated it. All i wanted to do was get out and go home. I was miserable. I think going into the gym to get comfortable, but also going at a set time will help you get more comfortable because you will see the same people around that time usually

I've just started my fitness journey! My mum encouraged me to take a walk every day (it takes me about an hour) which I've been doing, and a couple days ago I tried push ups. It made me realise how unfit I am because I needed to modify my goal to being able to get down to the ground, but I'm ok with that! I have to start somewhere right? I'm still amazingly sore as I write this, but I'm excited about giving it another go soon. I've been looking up things I can try at home because going to the gym is too intimidating for me at the minute. Thank you for the encouragement!! I might be very unfit right now, but I really want that to change even if it takes me years to do it

Greg is a saint! I've just started my fitness journey and I'm so excited! I've done it before so I know I can do it. I have learned from my mistakes and I really think I'm a better person for it, although going on a 3 year no health bender cause me to gain like 60 pounds... oops better late than never. Have you tried CrossFit? I want to try it eventually, but I am making small changes. I'm currently doing whole 30.

Awesome!! I think it’s so important to view it as a lifestyle rather than viewing a health journey as depriving yourself.

You inspire me so much. I suffer from an undiagnosed autoimmune condition right now (doctors are trying to figure out what it is) and arthritis/spine issues. You helped me eat a lot healthier and I eat very healthy. Unfortunately and not unfortunately- I cannot eat unhealthy. I violently throw up. We don’t know why. So I usually just look at your super healthy meals with no sauces.
Hoping I can crush my goals despite arthritis with your workouts! Although I may have to adjust according to my physical therapist :)

There is a lot of potentile reasons why that could be from genetics to hydration.

It is good to hear someone say things like this. My husband, a soldier, has a diet much different than my own. His is sort of like an athlete's diet and mine is keto (healthy keto, not "lazy keto"). It is an important balance to tend to every day when I make meals for us and add food to his dinner, exchanging the carbs from his for a portion of fats in my own. If I ate like my husband, I'd be the size of a barn instead of 130lbs. If he ate like me, he wouldn't be able to carry his ruck. Gain your focus on your goals, how to attain them, and Charlie Mike.
