Sometimes we forget how insane it is that we put these children through so much grief so early in their lives and it's before they're even getting paid to play. Surprised you don't see more college stars go the way of child actors when they don't make it.

    • @QMS9224

I think the difference is the child star is still living off fame and money for years, whereas the athlete (especially if not wealthy background) has to get a job and figure out his new life path pretty quickly

@@hitechj5057 The fact that Duke in general is a money school is completely true, but that is not the case with all of the athletes. Guys like Christian Laettner went there, and that dude, while he looked like he came from money, came from nothing. His family was completely blue collar, and he came from nothing. His mom was a teacher, and he and his brother did farm work to make money. He did janitorial work in high school as part of his tuition assistance so he could attend private school. Even though we're mature adults and wouldn't do the same thing if we were in the same situation...we sometimes laugh at our bad behavior because it's so far from who we are now. So nice now he's not tripping but going for swiping instead, he's really learnt zero and is still sniggering. @t3avelos 3 года назад +6

I have seen the video many times. Bucks coach said it should be borderline between flagrant 1 and flagrant 2 and he would agree with the refs anyway. The difference in this play with Allen's college years is that Allen did not "sneak up from behind" to Alex. He didnt go karate for his neck or head or things like that. It was a reckless play, it wasnt a malicious play. Allen could have no way of knowing that Caruso would land in the bad way he landed by swinging at his arms. He didnt put his body under caruso a la pachulia so Caruso would have a bad fall. All this heat that Allen is receiving in social media is because he was an a-hole in college. But try to find a dirty play of his in NBA. Try to find him sneaking up on someone to damage him on purpose. You wont find anything.

Lot of Grayson hate here and claims he doesn't feel bad. This may be true, but generally the point is that its a socially unacceptable form of retaliation. All players retaliate somehow (ex. All of JJ's anecdotes), but we've all agreed that you need to be more subtle. No one feels bad for elbowing someone in the sternum for payback nor do fans expect them too, but because tripping has a stigma, its like he commits some unforgivable sin.
I 100% agree that it's a silly way to retaliate since you always get caught... but do not think it's "worse" than others forms of physical retaliation, only less strategic.

Look Grayson Allen got issues like all of us do but going on and on about how this guy sucks and is a dirty player is wrong. He’s tripped people so what, y’all praise the dhead draymond and every other game he hitting someone for no reason and dude is a certified hofer. Grayson Allen has helped the Struggling Suns get to a playoff birth we all know they wouldn’t have been in without him, he might have had his best season statistically and maturally. I think we should move on from how bad he was and look at the good he does. Grayson Allen is also the only nba player ever to have his own bible study plan. Stop looking at the cover and read the book we all human.
