I really appreciate that the news anchor is fixed on the spectacle. Too many news coverages where they look away and at the camera and start spouting the same eclipse trivia that we've been able to learn about for weeks now.
That's the light from the sun wrapping around the moon, not the moon. The camera doesn't pick it up but you would see a black circle (the back side of the moon) with a ring around it (the sun).
It is still too bright for the camera and it needs adjustment. The camera can only pickup a black circle covering bright light behind it if they adjust the shutter speed (faster shutter). The entire scene will be pitch black but you can see a black circle/moon covering the sun.
You would if you saw it in person. The wide angle lens they’re using on the camera makes it look like just a tiny dot in the sky, which is not at all what you see in person. I’ve seen two of them now, and there’s a very good reason people plan years ahead and travel halfway around the world for a few minutes of totality. There are no words to describe it, and no photos or videos can even come close to depicting how spectacular it actually is. Lots of things get called “once in a lifetime” opportunities. Experiencing totality is one thing that is absolutely once in a lifetime and worth whatever it takes to experience it.
@@mikemckee6583dude, honestly let's just stop bothering with these people, they all saw a partial eclipse and then are complaining that it wasn't that big of a deal. There's no way that someone will see a total solar eclipse, seeing the corona and then saying that it was "meh", that's nearly impossible lol
I saw it in Millinocket, Maine (about an hour southwest of Houlton) and I can attest it was everything she said it was. It was a profoundly surreal event - awe inspiring. My wife and kids loved it, glad we all went.
So refreshing to see people looking UP 🌞 🌙 instead of down 📱
Why not show more what was observed?
Go to NASA
It was being shown the entire time, upper right hand corner.
@@amybethhurst It doesn't matter anymore

She said the birds are confused 😂😂😂
Beautiful.
This reminds me of the UFO rooftop welcoming party scene in Independence Day movie.
hahahahahaha 🤣
It would be a great experience to witness it personally ❤
Still much better than the Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Ok shows over, lets go back to hating each other again.
3 minutes of no politics...refreshing...
Unfortunately your exactly right. Thats the ugly society of this graceless age we have to 'live' in today.
@@gregorymcgilvray2995 you're*
We were there and had a great experience! Those 3 1/2 minutes were quiet and still. Everyone was in awe! 🔆
Main screen should've been on eclipse and not newscasters
Isn't it to ur right?and yes half them are blind now because they forgot to put on glasses 🤦🌑😂
"I can see Venus the star" found the NEScom grad

Sounds funny, but it kinda looks like a really bright star with the naked eye
Yeah...she showed us her NEScom degree without showing us her NEScom degree
Watched it from Lewiston
We got alittle light shady grey here in south Georgia. It did a halfway cut through the sun here.
I stare directly at the sun, but never in the mirror…

When he turned around at 1:51 why was moon in sky like normal???

Fire the camera guy. He had one job.
Watch, if I were the devil, on here
7pm where is 7am😂😂
Unfortunately too many humans making noise. The silence would be even more interesting
No Rapture?😂
Americans should know that My 2nd coming is happening at the same time.
She literally had to bring in 9/11 into this 🙄
I usually would never watch share or like a MSM especially NBC news story on YT . But this is a special occasion. Why not ! 😅
I don't get the appeal. And I don't understand why people get emotional.
Weirdos I don't get it

i got told that it doesn't happen once in a lifetime and that it doesn't make sense to get tear eyed 😂😂 @mikemckee6583
