    Hi, wifi and bluetooth both run on 2.4 GHz band, that's why you're observing congestion. Switch your wifi to 5Ghz ;)

    There are two important questions left unanswered: 1) What are network filecopy speeds - machine to machine - under max linkspeed? 2) What is CPU load under heavy network utilization (filecopy) at maximum linkspeed?

    Wireless network and Bluetooth have had a conflict from the beginning of time ... they share a common bandwidth and a few other things. Effect all such devices. I am getting this card but will not use the Bluetooth when networking is a priority. Why they haven't fix this is amazing.

  • @Slazerable
    @Slazerable 7 лет назад +4

    Can anyone confirm the drastically decreased wi-fi speeds while using both BT and wi-fi? How much is "drastically" anyway? Does this problem show on Linux as well? Guess I'll have to find out the hard way :(.

    • @Slazerable
      @Slazerable 7 лет назад +1

      So I did some research and it seems all the problems are somehow intertwined with Windows, be it 7 or 10. The issues on Linux seem to have been completely resolved with the 4.4 kernel. This suggests, it's just the crappy Windows drivers, not the hardware that's causing the issues. The possible BT+wifi interference has also been very rare. I'll give this product a shot.

    • @keithstechreviews7998
      @keithstechreviews7998  7 лет назад +3

      Well that's bad for Windows users, like myself, but great that you found info and that it seems like it'll work fine for you. I still recommend it even with this issue. I hope it works out for your needs.

However when I restarting my PC, I check again and I end up getting a signal. So I’m having to restart my PC once every time in order to get WiFi. Any ideas? Maybe update drivers?

      I just got a new PC with Windows 10 on it, I this card and it`s working fine, was`nt the simplest install, but once I got over the little problems, it`s flying, as for the Bluetooth side of it, I have`nt played with that yet. NOW, on the other hand, my brother also got a new PC, but he`s having trouble installing it, no matter what he tries, it does`nt see the adapter. It could be something on his part thats wrong.....

      Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 user here. I use an ASUS PCE-AC55BT which employs an Intel AC-7260 mPCIe form factor chip. It works fine under both Linux Mint 19.1 and Windows 10 Pro 1803, 1809 and 1903.
      This is the successor Intel chip used in the Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I Rev 4.2 (and also the Asus PCE-AC55BT B1). It employs the M.2 form factor, has identical WiFi specs. but Bluetooth 4.2 vs the AC-7260's BT 4.0:

      www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/wireless/wireless-products/dual-band-wireless-ac-7265.html
      It's now 2019 thus it's better to get a card which uses the following newer and much faster chip (which is employed in the Gigabyte GC-WB1733D-I (rev. 1.0) and the Asus PCE-AC58BT):
      "System Interface Type Wi-Fi(PCIe), BT(USB)"

      wikidevi.com/wiki/ASUS_PCE-AC58BT
      NOTE:
      Beware. As an AMD user you'll want to avoid the following nearly identical chip whose interface is designed for exclusive use with supported Intel chipsets:
      "System Interface Type M.2: CNVio"

      If you have the latest Windows 10 updates and are using this extender, then yes, you should be able to use this card to extend your network. I have mine plugged in via an Ethernet cable and I was able to turn on the mobile hotspot feature and turn the card into another access point that my phone could connect to. I also tried it connected to Wi-Fi 5Ghz instead of an Ethernet cable and it worked great.

    I have serious sound issues using Bluedio T2+ stereo bluetooth headphones with this adapter...
    The sound is distorted and low quality on some videos (not all)
    After some ressearch...i wonder if that might be a missing codec problem (AptX)
    Online radios are crystal clear, some videos also...this clip has clear sound but a small hiss also (pc + headphones sound on max) and it is set on "Listen Music" only,
    not also the "Forward VoIP Calls to Handsfree" service.
    Drivers for WiFi and BT are the original ones from the website (Windows 7, 64bit).
    www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GC-WB867D-I-rev-42#support-dl-driver
    Any advice please?
