Fantastic! Thank you. I saw your Bill Jennings Lesson about 6 weeks ago, and have listened to a whole lot of Bill Jennings because of you. I wasnt familiar with him although I know Grant Green, George Benson with Jack Mcduff, Eddie Lang, the Moore brothers and a lot more, but Bill I didn`t know. Thank you for hippin me on! Greets from Munich, Germany.
Oh man!! That makes me happy. Bill was a monster and unique player. Looks like we will be moving the family to Germany for awhile next year. Hope we can connect in person.
Another fab lesson and insight into this type of blues (jump blues). The theory and info on top 4 string chord voicings very helpful.keep rockin Vin U.K.).
Thanks for this great lesson full of chord shapes and theory that I could put to use! Can you tell me the title of the Eddie Lang instructional book you referenced? I couldn’t find one online.
Hey man I love videos so much. I've learned so much from you. I wanted to ask you about setting up your guitar. Because I'm really trying to get that big sound and I'm having trouble finding out how to set up my guitar for that sound. I bought heavy strings like you said, but I'm still having trouble. Any advise would be very appreciated. Have a great day and thank you for your lessons.
I'm so sorry for the late reply. To answer your question, besides heavy strings I roll off the tone a bit to push the front end of my amp. I do use a quilter but love my vintage tube amps. They all have these nice mids that sound big. I also love p90 pickups. ;)
Great stuff, Tommy. A super-useful lesson. Engaging and clearly explained. I'm really glad I found your channel.
