Honestly analysing the hexenzirkel is so interesting, I am also curious on what is your take on the symbolic meaning of the characters that were featured in the event: Sucrose, Collei, Timaeus and Rosaria specifically because Albedo's, Klee's, Mona's and Scarlett's ties to the hexenzirkel are already stablished
Initially, I don't think Sucrose, Collei, Timaeus and Rosaria have symbolic connection to hexenzirkel in this event, But since you bring it up, hmmmm...I wonder if it has....currently I don't have any idea about that. Anyways, thank you for sharing that, I will take note and might be it could be something important for future quest 👀
Also it just clicked to me on why Durin's memories were so positive when he was killed through Dragonspine spear. Maybe when Gold brought Durin with her when the Hexanzirkle were planning to defeat Barbatos, maybe that's why his memories were so bright. Maybe deluded by the abyss corruption into doing something he did not want. I assume they planned to defeat Barbatos before the Cataclysm. Then this line of events makes some sense.

the first time i saw the hexencircle animation and show the witches icon, my eyes are draw to the two pink figure with the light orb. color me surprise to see only 7 chairs. I wonder, if the "high priestess" is currently unavailable active at moment. Consider Alice acting as a head or she too is a high priestess.
****(if one thing i hope was the goddess of time was the goddess they wish to follow or befriend, and is currently "missing" in the world. Yet i also like a theory of Alice being one of sun children. Another theory (idk if anyone thought of this) her meeting the goddess of time (since we have records and her true name from Enkanomiya) and they traveling leylines and tevayt. Forming the group until goddess was then erase from the world. This crack theory after all. Since i always interpret the involvement of Goddess in the world events, is to help humanity forward as best she can. Any how she feature almost everywhere*****
(Reason being for mention her is in this event, for the goddess of time do have some ties ( not strong) : having some relationship of Venti( archon of wind) moon/fates (3 moon sisters) , leylines/irminsul (hexencircle adventure irminsul and them knowing how memories could be alter) And (i find odd) letter from sucrose. clock in the shape of a flower and last paragraph. it was such an odd placement when she just mention what the flower is. if it wasnt for Sucrose letter,i would not have though of this.)
Alice current age is unknown, and if would not surprise me if she form this group with someone who could match her lifespan/existence at one point or she discover she got some badass friends and wanted to be a group. I do agree with the letter are titles given to the successor who take over the title. which could explain why three of the character name have reference as "daughter of..." (which i mean the title are past on by their followers, student or children instead of Alice need to seek someone who share the same subject of study, of their now decease/disband/or "settle on your happiness" friend) When looking in Lisa voice line about Mona, i would believe Alice did seek Lisa at one point. Seeing she did mention their Irrminsul exploration and fomal tea parties. Which how Mona reacted toward the floating island, i dont believe she knew this where her master coven is or knew they had these sort of "tea parties" other than Barbeloth was in a coven. She only notice how she sense her master power and comments how " ...so many mysterious women in this world, and that they would all know each other."
on what the other "study" the witches in the coven could be, going by the link of the coven you provided
spiral dance - by J cutscene: she appear to be a dancer or performer. -
spellwork/incantation/ - study of words/linguistics and ancient rune ( like the Haravatat darshans)
invocation - study of elements (if we go by Alice wanting lisa to join because of knowledge and we could assume it also because her studies in the spantamad)
**singing - this one is more crack than anything, just Alice wanting to make idol group and could be she do enjoy music
***light being/elemental beasts - i still find odd that we have yet to have a group who specialize in dragon/or any othering being who classified as "elemental" (who are alive, sorry Enkanomiya) and not the abyss (wanting to create a weapon) though you could also say this is Rhinedottor study but i find more in tune with "creating new life" and mimic existing ones (and "using power from beyond") than in deep study of said beings, and maybe evolve them. Heck even to this point we crumb on what hypostatis are other than what causing many not study further is because " due to the level of danger that they pose, little of substance is known about hypostases beyond their scientific name and code name." - Hypostasis description

About the names, parent-derived names are actually quite common around the world. Ivanovna is one of the most common patronymics in Russia.
But with Andersdotter specifically, this is most likely reference to Hans Christian Andersen, a notable real-world author of fairy tales. Yes, his family name means "son of Anders", while Andersdottir means "daughter of Anders".
About names and nations:
I'd put Alice in Enkanomiya, due to some historical documents found there. Her old name was Eris, as the Greek goddess of discord.
Astromancer Barbeloth Trismegistus in Sumeru deserts, because that's where Hermes Trismegistus would be found. Possibly among the sages that worked under Scarlet King Al-Ahmar.
I. Ivanovna N. in Snezhnaya, because it's an obviously Russian name.
Andersdotter in Mondstadt. Possibly from Sal Vindagnyr that is now known as Dragonspine, but I think she isn't that old, and was just a scholar of history.
Nicole in Fontaine, because her name sounds French. And because that place suffers from prophesies a lot.
And Rhinedottir in Kaenri'ah. Probably a pure-blooded Kaenri'an noble too, but at her power level, she might have just flipped off the curses that other Kaenri'ah people suffered from.
Just want to mention J (The one who kill her husband i believe) remind me of the mythological creature Leannán sídhe.
She suppose to be a appear as a beautiful woman who take a human as her lover but in exchange for given them High inspiration during their life she suck her lover life force and end up killing them as result. That kind of remind of the tale she tell in the teaser.
Also it is possible that the letter ''J'' stand for the ''i'' in I Ivanovna N's name. In north mythology a lot of name use the ''J'' but orally stand for ''i''
example: Jörmungandr, Fjorm, Mjolnir. All this ''J'' are prononce i

Also considering my Idea about leannan sidhe, she also called ''fairy lover'' and since the Cryo Archon is suspect to be the god of love I was wondering that could be her, she did lost something at the time of the cataclysm so could that be her lover ? J indeed could be pronounced as "i" in many Northern European languages but in Russian it is a rare case. In official Russian translation she was called "Дж." which sounds like a common "J" in English

7 chairs are see on the scene of hexen only one is missing very sussy but many theory crafter said that the 8th hexen is possible diluc mother and his father was a former fatui harbinger or something connected with it(i watch this to miss ashikai video) and both his parents are possible involve of creating the delusion. Crepus delusion is very different than the fatui delusion and it's box has a very sussy symbol on manga because it's possible that diluc's mother created it for crepus

not really about Hexenzirkel, but how come Lisa came to know of the association in the first place. a reminder that she is the character who introduce the player to this group. according to Scarlet(i can't remember correctly now so cmiiw), Hexenzirkel is or at the very least supposed to be a secret association.
for all we know during the akademiya time, her study is about ley line which is connect to the world tree. maybe she run into Hexenzirkel member during her study?
this is going to be a "talk nonsesne out of my mouth", but i think there might be a chance that Lisa is M's successor or at the very least knows something about M. M wrote a book that pretty much contain a factual story of teyvat and the only one who takes a duty of protecting story book very seriously so far is only Lisa. not to mentioned a lot of M's book has rose in the cover and what Lisa used to be called? The witch of purple rose. Coincidence? yes it might be.

What if a seat is missing cause J's successor isn't yet decided? And before Nicole was introduced i thought the voice we heard at the end of Inversion of Genesis was Istaroth. I wonder when we see/find more Istaroth crumbs. I think she will definitely show up cause she was named in one of the main story....
