Regarding the 3rd story. Never tell boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife that you are moving out if things aren't working out. You never know what they will do. I learn a lot from these stories!
Exactly! Once we were long distance, 9 hours away, I felt something off from her while meet up sometime to hang out stay her place for couple weeks once while, I was not happy and not see something out of her I was expected, she's too clingy, too needy and not independent, no job, no car. So when I left her place, till I arrived home, few days later on texting I told her this not going work, going to break up you and just be friend, she just lost her mind, disliked break up and rage on me plus posted on social media, and texted me demand to give my vehicle & some stuffs. I replied back, laughing, worked & earn for it before I met you. Not giving away to you for free, get a job to work for it. Good bye. (Blocked)
The story with the old lady - the end made me so mad. The husband really didn’t think anything of it when the doors were wide open???? And didn’t tell the police because “ it wouldn’t have mattered?” HOW WOULD IT NOT HAVE MATTERED???!? Ugh
People like the one in the first story really piss me off when they don't press charges or do something to try and help get bad people off the streets. I guarantee you that the next person wasn't so lucky. They could've been saved from whatever those bad people had planned for his gullible naïve self.
Yeah I get pissed when people don't press charges. You're letting the offender get away with it so they'll just feel more empowered and think they can do it again without consequence. It's a dangerous game.
that first guy was so obnoxious, they were literally a gang of robbers or murderers who didn’t want your money and intentionally set up something to catch an unsuspecting victim… not everyone needs redemption
Yeah. I get not wanting to be so pessimistic that you think everyone is an evil monster out to get you (that's no good for your mental health) but assuming that everyone is good deep down and can be won over with a little kindness will 100% be taken advantage of (and definitely does not bode well for one's physical health.) This may just be a coincidence but I've also noticed that the majority of people who think this way (that I have come across online or otherwise) tend to be young men. Older men have enough experience to know better and with the huge prevalence of sexual assault and harassment against women I don't see how anyone of the female sex could remained lulled into such a rosey world view after hitting their teens.
Literally just helped my friend move into his new house today and I finally get to lay down to listen to horror stories and sleep and.... this is what Joel has for me. Damn good timing as always. In fact, it's starting to get a little suspicious...
With story 1 "understanding and empathetic"...people need to be more honest when describing their gullible and naive attitudes. People with bad intentions prey on people like the narrator. We don't want to assume the worst in people but assuming everyone is harmless can get you killed. And no one with good intentions ever comes creeping out the woods in the dark conveniently after your tire blows out. He's hella lucky the cop came when he did. Thank God my partner isn't that ignorant. Story 4: That husband was terrible and just as naive as the narrator in the first story. Between lying to his wife and falling for that old woman's trick (if anyone comes to your house at night claiming to need help and then tells you NOT to call the police, it's a trap) he endangered the hell out of both of them.
Yeess! "No" is a complete sentence. Use basic common sense survival skills. Promptly notifying the authorities for the "needy person(s)" is the ONLY thing I would be doing if I had the slightest bad gut feeling. This was just so avoidable 😣
I came to the comment section to say this Lol Thanks ! You can wish world peace for everyone but be prepared. Have situational awareness have a plan! Honestly
I felt disgust when they said that. I'm empathetic, but I'm neither naïve nor a fool. There is a HUGE difference, and people like that are those who end up not pressing charges against a criminal, keeping their record clean so they can do the same or worse to someone else later, eventually getting a lighter sentence because they "have no prior record." People confuse naivete and foolishness with understanding and empathy the way they confuse caution with paranoia.
I won't lie. I usually only comment to break balls so to speak. I can't deny it though, Joel. You are very good at what you do......very very good. I'd even have to say that you're one of the best out there.💯💯👌👌

Story 4. About a year ago my bf was working night shift and already left for work. I've heard a knock on my door. I looked out the window and saw an older (maybe in his 70s) guy, he shouted that he has got our parcel. At the time we only just moved in to the house so it wasn't unusual that we got lots of different parcels each day. I opened the door slightly, leaving my foot on it just in case. I told him to just leave it at the doorstep. Suddenly he was like 'oh silly me, it's not for you, I must have read the numbers wrong.' I was like 'Okay, no worries' while closing the door. He quickly picked up with 'Was it you who helped me out from the bushes the other day?' while maintaining this creepy smile. 'Erm, no it wasn't me' I said, while starting to feel uncomfortable. 'Are you sure?' he followed while looking at me. I just quickly said 'Yeah I'm sure, thanks bye' while closing the door and quickly locking it up. For the next few hours I was walking from one window to another everytime I've heard a noise outside. Nothing really happened, thank god but I was extremely creeped out by the whole situation. He might have just been a sweet older neighbour, but yeah it still doesn't sit well with me.

The story where the person stated he was held in lockup for a week with no charges. Unless that jurisdiction was corrupt, that is illegal. They can’t hold a person for a week and no filing of charges. Glad to see he sued and won.

All I can imagine about that bus scene was the guy in Canada who beheaded a passenger.. I had a guy hold a bus hostage when I was on vacation in Jamaica last summer.. busses are scary!
In the state of N.C. you can look up property tax records. They are public and all you need is the address and it'll tell you who has owned the house. This will not include renters or anyone living for free(such as a daughter living there and her parents are the owners).

Both excited and a little anxious for this one, since I’m in the process of moving right now.
We meet again! I cannot wait to dive right In to this video ❤
"not a good kind of jam" that line somehow made my gf laugh so hard she was crying, now I'm crying g laughing cause I don't understand what made it so funny 😂😂😭😭😭💀
Another banger. Thanks for the anxiety relief Joel. ❤
Aww. Time to settle down for the night. Thank you
Awesome vid Lets Read!
Can’t wait till you reach 1m! 🎉
I love all the stories and narrator let's read is good for soothing the soul
The story with the guy putting fake blood on his window wasn't in the wrong imo. Like bro it's not your fault that old man was wilding 😭
The fake blood guy is a literal sociopath lmfao, old man out her protecting his neighbourhood
Nah he was definitely in the wrong messing with a demented old man for a joke was just stupid there was so many other ways it could have gone wrong
@@angelfrancisco8256 The old guy was overly aggressive from the start then broke into their house with an axe...yeah nah...he was a danger to society. If he was that far gone mentally he should not have still be living at home.
I totally agree! And then he called his wife a harlot, which means prostitute. Its NO WAY you do that and get away with it. I don't care what kinda mental state you in. It doesn't give you a pass to be mean and nasty to people for no reason.
@@angelfrancisco8256 It may have been a mistake but the old guy was messed up. Who goes up to new people moving in, and simply judging them by their looks, yelling and threatening them? You're right though - don't mess with people who seem crazy. In this case, it sounds like the guy had mental issues..
Nothin feels good smokin a blunt and listening to Let’s read at night Watching the stars
Sick and miserable but catching up on your stories certainly helps
Fantastic narration and stories as ALWAYS! Your voice is just butta! Butta I tell ya! 💕😁
Yes it is!! It's more memorable to me than anyone else's at this point! Very calming... although the stories are really creepy. 😳Love it! 🥱👏
The guy in story five reminds me of Claire Dunphy from modern family who takes Halloween one step further
Love Modern Family !!!
Love your content
💕
Not me listening to this whilst I’m packing to move 😭😅
Bobcat pride 💜 Glad you're safe!
Literally just bursting with relief that I missed this one because I'm so in desperate need of it now!! I'm usually pissed but no the divine universe stepped in!!
The story where the person stated he was held in lockup for a week with no charges. Unless that jurisdiction was corrupt, that is illegal. They can’t hold a person for a week and no filing of charges. Glad to see he sued and won.
In the first story if you’re on an empty road that ppl usually don’t drive down and u get a flat or more specifically a blow out and all of a sudden a bunch of people come out of nowhere it’s 1000% a set up and idc how bad the tire is idc if you’re on the rim get out of there immediately
Joel you are the best. I tell everyone I can about your channel.
Really good stories btw.
All I can imagine about that bus scene was the guy in Canada who beheaded a passenger.. I had a guy hold a bus hostage when I was on vacation in Jamaica last summer.. busses are scary!
If stupid was a person it’s definitely that first guy
In the state of N.C. you can look up property tax records. They are public and all you need is the address and it'll tell you who has owned the house. This will not include renters or anyone living for free(such as a daughter living there and her parents are the owners).
schizophrenia is so sad to experience 2nd hand. watching your loved one just go through that pain, thinking the world is against them and that they’re not even safe in their own home hurts.
"YOU HARLET"
"DEATH IS NO JOKE"
drops dead 💀🤣 that old man was a comedian
Bro, I’m cleaning my room while listening to stuff and got startled when I heard where I lived 😭
Typical for the police to always just believe the woman without asking any questions or having any evidence . I'd definitely sue her and the police department. Glad he got away.
Glad everyone is ok.... really scary stories.....
Hi Joel! Not sure if you were aware but there is a channel called “Creepy Ghost Stories” that is reposting your videos. I played one and thought the intro sounded super familiar and then I heard your voice. They aren’t getting many views but still thought you should know!
Great story's
The strangers in the first story harassing the poor couple In their truck I can't stand people like this always just looking for trouble! 🙄😤
Yup, they should have mace in case to spray out of gap door window.
Joel you have a smooth nice voice you are my favorite narrator
1st story, flat tire or not, I'm flooring it, outta there!!
Ugh story #1 where did you people grow up that you’d actually offer predators $50? Your kindness is perceived as nothing but weakness by these savages.
Just Commenting for the algorithm 💜
Man, I'm left on a cliffhanger with story number six! Who was the guy was talking about? These are the answers I need!
What a fkn treat! ♥️🇬🇧♥️🇬🇧♥️
Love you RUclipsJoel!❤🤍💙
Yep💙 Friday the 13th story time.
Oh DANG I hadn’t realized that’s today lol good timing 👍
That time you see a UAP in the thumbnail and click on it, and…oh, well. Love the different voices for the characters though 👵🏼❤
What a great video to listen to on Friday the 13th 🥂
